Chapter 2975 - 2795. Stronger Will
Walker had also enjoyed the benefits of gaining some sun mana and being able to store it within his body.
The benefits of that could be stored within the storages he had created and enhance the miulti demnsional storages as a whole. Some would not be mixed since that could cause damage but the central storage he was building up more and more that had just taken in some of the lightning mana earlier had gained the most.
Yet, as Walker wished to look within himself at this newfound knowledge of sun mana and the ways that light and fire mixed to create this specific form of sun mana, he found that the elder eyes of the sun race members had moved toward him.
They were not showing hostility or really any emotion. It appeared that they were more stunned and shocked by him and the rest of the party who were standing about naturally together. Like they were always prepared for events like this.
Like this was a casual day for them.
"So, now that you have your time, want to come and see the world with us?" Remey was not too annoyed that they had yet to figure out what Walker wanted to figure out. She was more interested to see if these new people could help her with alchemy.
She had flames she could control and for the most part the eyes of the sun race were made of flames and fire mana. So why would it be impossible for them to make potions? They might even be able to make potions that were better than what others could due to their unique control of fire mana over what someone else could do.
A small pulse of mana moved through the area and Walker looked outward. He had been distracted why the eyes of the sun race conversed with the others, making him understand the mana had been just enough for him to sense and not the others.
He had the highest senses for all manas, even the true mana that was considered the central origin of manas. Not that he could easily grasp such mana or even make it like it was nothing.
Walker focused on natural mana and he did not meld space mana, life mana, death mana, and time mana together with other manas. It just was not where his skill lay right now. Let alone what he was working on developing.
Besides, he was more adept at letting those more unique and foundational manas to move as they naturally did. That was the best way to grow and produce the result she chased after.
He noticed a single strand of mana, not unlike the tentacles of sun mana that the eyes of the sun race used. Solen was even using their own to communicate with Midnight despite her hyper active state asking questions and bouncing around them right now.
"You have traveled far and you have helped my young ones. I have not seen the same place for more than a brief moment for quite some time." The voice used mana to speak but it felt old.
Much older than those that had come to speak to Walker.
"I am no threat to you. I am not truly alive any longer. Just an echo of what was as the first eye of the sun to understand that survival must be the utmost responsibility if my people wished to exist."
Walker was going to speak out loud but the mana surged slightly again. ’You need not speak to me. I know you are in search of more. It is one reason why I remain. I am the memories and the will to survive given form in mana of our home. My duty is different. It is similar to what you may call a king of a home. I have sensed and seen others. I know of them."
It was easier than he would have told someone to understand this. Especially since he had met every element king in person before. Or at least pieces of them since they truly did not have a set form. They were the defined wills of the elemental planes that they formed in.
They kept the balance and remained to ensure peace. That was what they did and they stayed on that path as much as possible.
The first eyes of the sun race member had perished after becoming powerful. But they had left behind their will and mana to pass on memories and changed in the process. They had bonded and become the core of what formed a will for this sun elemental plane. Become a hidden slumbering guardian whispering in the mana for the eyes of the sun race while inheriting their constant will to survive.
"Take the sigil, the sun will follow and you may bring the home to new lands. Let it rest on the edge and let the people travel. Let my will mix with another. Let there be potential for life to thrive. I need nothing more, my slumber can be eternal within that form." The mana dissipated like someone had rolled over and fallen asleep again.
However, Walker found a small mark of mana holding on to his hand. A small bit of pure and true sun mana that held a slight glimmer of sun mana attached to the sun elemental plane.
It was enough to understand it was a marking. Nothing that gave control or allowed for passage. It was a single thread able to be followed if the sun elemental plane was drifting along. It would guide it through the chaos and the unknown. Just enough to be able to meet the fire elemental alone.
This wasn’t a solid elemental plane. It was one race that had fought to survive and managed to accomplish that. However, it was not large enough to hold a true elemental king. Nor was it perfectly mixed enough to be able to say that it could stand alone eternally.
It had survived because of so many unique chances being taken and brought together. Thus it still stood and was still growing.
But the people needed more stability. Needed more than just the will to survive.
This was the chance to have that.
They had intelligence and there were certainly those within their race that believed more existed. So now, they had the chance to do so and would be able to accomplish that.
"Actually, you can let the elemental plane drift again. I will leave behind a thread of mana to follow. It will bring you to the edge of the fire elemental plane and the light elemental plane. That is where you can rest and travel to meet the world and us when you feel ready."
Yet again the conversation stopped and there was a stunned silence. It seemed that Walker had been standing there just observing, yet a shift changed and tSolen could sense the sun mana now linked to Walker and drifting around his hand.
"What did you accomplish? That was not something possible just moments ago. I can not pass within until what you have done is undone."
"Do you and your people keep a history of the first to exist of your kind?" Walker took the small movements of every eyes of the sun elder as an acceptance that they did.
"Well, for an elemental plane larger and powerful, a will comes in to being representing the entirety of the elemental plane. They are called elemental kings and they live on the will of the whole. In the elemental planes we passed through, they stand for peace and balance. They prevent wars and chaotic manas. They are a balance more important than any other."
Seeing that confusion was even on the rest of his group’s faces, Walker kept speaking.
’The will of your originator never left you. They remain in your strong will to survive. The memories and fights you have all are part of that will. While an elemental king doesn’t properly exist for your home, you and all of your people carry on a small piece of that. Meaning that the will was strong enough to ask something of me." He showed the small pure bit of sun mana.
The sigil flickered and they all understood.
Walker in his unique standing and understanding was able to be the one that took on a piece of the will as well. Just enough that there was more to everything that had happened.
The eyes of the sun members who came out to see these beings passing them by were the key and the start of all of this. Walker was just the lucky individual to be asked to help and had the ability. Anyone else who was not of the origin race might not have had the ability. Now, someone like him did and there was even more hope without risk of damage.
