Chapter 607: Does She Loves Him That Much?
(Author’s POV)
’Fabian~ ... no~ .... don’t go. FABIAN~ ...’ Myra screamed after him as tears streamed down her face, yet his body kept fading into small fragments right in front of her eyes. Her fingers brushed against thin air.

"Myra~ ... Myra~ ...." Elio’s voice pulled her from her deep sleep. Startled, she opened her eyes and looked around, breathless. Despite the air conditioning, sweat covered her forehead, and even her back was drenched. She observed Brave and Elio, who looked at her with serious concern, which was understandable.
Brave asked, "Myra~ ... are you okay? Your face looks pale."
Myra’s mind was still foggy, swirling with the vision she had just seen. She didn’t respond, only blinking confusedly.
Elio quickly unbuckled his seatbelt, leaning over to check her temperature. He touched her forehead and exclaimed, "Myra~ ... you’re cold. We should immediately go to a hospital."
His warm touch snapped her back to the present completely. Licking her lips, she withdrew and replied, trying to sound calm, "I~ ... I’m fine. Just had a nightmare." She looked out the window and saw they had already reached her house. "I’ll just go inside, lie down and rest properly."
The brothers spoke together, "Come, I will take you to your room." They then looked at each other awkwardly.
Myra blurted her refusal quickly, "No need. It’s late and not appropriate for you two to come inside at this hour. You both should go and get some rest too. It’s been a tough night for you as well."
She immediately exited the vehicle, then turned around and said, "Thanks, Brave, for taking me to the hospital." She shifted her gaze towards Elio and added, "Thank you for covering up for me," referring to the lie he told the Yates regarding feeding Garry the potion.
"There is no need to be so formal with us," Elio uttered. "We are mates after all."
Myra didn’t comment, though her eyes flickered. She just said, "I’ll get going then." Pivoting around, she paced inside the house.
The brothers’ gaze followed her until she disappeared, then they exchanged glances, their faces hardening. Brave spoke first, "Did you hear her say it too?"
"I did," Elio replied, clenching his fists and gritting his teeth.
"Does she~ .... like Fabian Stephens for her to call his name in her sleep?" Brave mumbled to himself.
Elio remained silent, but Raw answered, ’I don’t care and give a damn. We have lost our mate once. It isn’t happening again. I won’t allow it.’
’But if Myra loves him, it’s a different story then.’ Brave was trying to respect her boundaries.
’And what if she does? She is our mate. Our destined second chance. The moon goddess has bonded us together for a reason. I won’t give her up for anyone else. Not him, not anyone else. Not a fucking chance,’ Raw said, his tone possessive and a little too aggressive.
Brave let out a heavy sigh, then started the car.

Alaric’s face remained expressionless, though he tightened his grip on his pants after hearing Brave narrate.
He always knew how Fabian felt towards Myra. After all, that guy had made it obvious whenever he got the chance. But now, hearing that she called Fabian’s name in her sleep, he couldn’t help but feel rather irked.
Memories of her taking Fabian’s side, wearing his coat to her room, going with him to unwind, resurfaced all at once, and a slow, throbbing ache triggered in his chest.
’Did she feel his life was in danger? Are her feelings that strong for Fabian?’ Drey commented, gnawing his teeth.
Dion’s nostrils flared in annoyance. He knew it wasn’t right to be jealous and hate Fabian, who was now nothing but a tragic echo from the past. But he couldn’t help himself. The thought of Myra loving anyone other than him was not just uncomfortable but was a complete torture.
As their minds were still muddled in their complicated emotions, a sudden knock on the door broke the tension.
Elio went to open the door to see who it was. "Secretary Shadow~...?"
Alaric and Dion’s eyes narrowed as they, along with Brave, marched towards the door. "Chris Shadow, what are you doing here?" his tone hardened.
"His Majesty has sent me with a message to deliver. He has asked me to inform you all that~...." He paused and held Alaric’s gaze for an extra second. "~the young master’s funeral will be held at 10 am privately. After that, he will leave for the Blood Fangs clan’s main estate. He said he wants to bury the young master’s cremated ashes there. So~ .... you will have to pack your luggage before that."
"What’s with the rush?" Elio uttered. "It hasn’t even been a day since~ ...."
"Young Alpha Elio, it is not your place to comment. What His Majesty is doing is his decision. And his words are final. You have no right or say in that. Well then~ ..." he gave a brief nod, turned around and started to walk. A smug smile graced his lips.
"Secretary Shadow, wait a minute~ ...." Brave called him from behind.
Chris halted his steps but didn’t look back.
"Fabian’s close friend will be attending the funeral as well," he told him.
"By friend, do you mean Ms. Miracle?" Chris finally turned around and inquired.
The brothers’ brows knitted. "You know her?"
"The young master was quite fond of her. She can come. After all, it is only right that she see him off one last time. If there isn’t anything else, I’ll be taking my leave. I need to look after the preparations." After saying this, he didn’t wait and walked away.
"Rave, are you crazy? You are going to bring Myra into a house full of bloodthirsty monsters," Dion yelled.
"It’s Fabian’s last rites. She should be here," Brave said.
"Catherine and Brian will be in attendance as well. If they knew she is the one with~ ..." Alaric’s voice trailed off.
"Then we won’t let them find out. One of us will be by her side all the time, got it," Brave declared. After a five-second pause, the others nodded in understanding. "Alright. She should meet him one last time."
