Me, Hydra

I, Hydra, chapter 8.

It was a lot of numbers, under Hydra's management nowadays the number of Spartans had exceeded fifteen thousand, knowing that the peak of Sparta's history was only nine thousand.

What the Spartan warriors needed to practice today was not only combat, but also all kinds of combat knowledge including teamwork, trap making, and poison concoction. Only when each of these reaches a value can one become a member of the Spartan Praetorian Guard.

Come to the barracks, Quintus is not the first time to come, Sparta's barracks are allowed to children to visit, of course, the children here is limited to Sparta's children, and the next few meters even children are not allowed to enter.

Quintus had grown up watching the drills of soldiers, so the barracks were not unfamiliar to Quintus.

As he was walking, Quintus suddenly saw a familiar figure, which pleased Quintus somewhat.

"Leonidas! I'm over here! I didn't know you were assigned to this barracks! This time I'm going to share the spoils with you!"

Hearing the familiar words, Leonidas turned back, and when he saw that it was Quintus, a smile that couldn't be stopped appeared on his face as well.

"I'm not going to lose to you!"

This pleased Hydra, who watched the Spartan city-state through the Gehenna, and Quintus didn't need to be told. And Leonidas' word was that of the historically famous king of the three hundred warriors of Sparta, the Spartan king who was known for fighting the battle of Hot Springs Pass with a precarious three hundred men against a Persian army of one hundred thousand.

Now, the two of them were good competitors.

On the other side, within the reign of Olympus, Perseus, influenced by the ill-intentioned calumny of Polydektes, finished packing his bags and went on his way. The gods guided him all the way to a distant land, where Perseus met the three daughters of the primordial sea-god, Fulcus, who were born with white hair, and three of them had only one eye and one tooth, and used each other in turn. Perseus had taken their teeth and eyes. They demanded the return of these things that were indispensable to them. Perseus, in turn, makes a condition that they show them the way to the fairies. These fairies are magical and have a few treasures: a pair of flying shoes, a sacred bag, and a dog-skin helmet. Whoever, with these things, can fly free as he wishes and see whomever he wishes, but whom no one else can see. The daughters of Fulcus showed Perseus the way, and begged for his eyes and teeth.

At the fairies, Perseus is given three treasures. He carried the sacred bag, wore flying shoes, and put on a dog-skin helmet. In addition, he received from Hermes a shield of bronze mirrors that reflected Medusa's gaze. He armed himself with these divine objects and flew over to the sea. There lived the three daughters of the dragon Typhon, the three sisters of the Gorgon Banshees.

........

Perseus is the guy who killed Medusa in Greek mythology, and is also the prototype for Perseus. But judging by the taking of the eyes and teeth...well, that's about it.

Volume 1: Text-12-Athena.

Perseus, the most famous hero in Greek history, became famous across the Aegean Sea by slaying the serpent-haired demon Medusa.

The three Gorgon sisters are stranded on a deserted island for various reasons, with no visitors. The three sisters had to live alone together.

If it wasn't for the fact that Typhon was finally compelled by the shepherd boy, Zeus' divine power would have been completely overturned.

Unfortunately, if Hydra had been conscious at the time it would have allowed Typhon to kill Zeus completely, leaving no room for error but for various reasons, Hydra had fallen asleep at the time and eventually missed this great opportunity.

But that was all irrelevant to the present. The Shield of Athena in hand was the result of Perseus praying to Athena, it was no ordinary shield, it was given to Athena by Zeus himself when Athena was born. In addition to being indestructible, it also possessed the effect of reflecting all energy attacks, in other words. Whether it was Medusa's sight or a light cannon that possessed a trajectory. As long as it wasn't substantial it could be reflected.

The three treasures that Perseus got from the Fairy of Motion were stated before, the flying shoe that allows Perseus to fly freely, the bag of gods that allows Perseus to store Medusa's head, and the dogskin hat that Kaj makes Perseus invisible.

Arriving on a deserted island, Perseus leans on a sharp sword in his hand.

The three Gorgon sisters are Stheno, the Daughter of Power, Euryale, the Daughter of Flight, and the last, Medusa, the Serpent-haired Banshee.

Of the three Serpent-Haired Banshee sisters, only Medusa cannot live forever; her sisters, Stheno and Euryale, both live forever. Perseus cleaned up the youngest sister Medusa, while the other two sisters had immortal superpowers, so in mythology no matter how many times Perseus slashed and killed them, they would never die, and finally Perseus had to give up and run away. Perseus escaped from Medusa's two sisters when he was attacked by a gale in the air, and was blown around, and the blood dripping from Medusa's head fell into the Libyan desert and became a poisonous snake.

Looking at the three young girls lying asleep in the cave, Perseus turned his back on them and reflected their faces in a mirror-like shield, and after careful identification finally saw the target of the trip, Medusa.

Turning around, Perseus said "offended", then gripped the sword in his hands and crept closer to the three sisters.

Because of the long isolation, the three sisters of Gorgon has gradually forgotten the crisis of the battle, so even if Perseus is close to them they still do not have the slightest awareness, still sleeping deeply.

Raising high in her hand the steel sword blessed by Athena, the goddess of war and wisdom, just as Perseus was about to get his hands on it, suddenly, a voice sounded in the cave.

"Are you conducting a sneak attack? Dear big hero?"

The sound woke the three sleeping sisters, and they quickly figured out what was going on when they saw the Excalibur with Athena's scent glued to Perseus's hand.

Swallowing a mouthful of saliva, Perseus even withdrew his gaze, for even the God King Zeus would feel stiff in the joints from the effects of the petrification curse once he met Medusa's eyes.

Turning his head, a giant five meters tall with nine heads on his shoulders was looking directly at him. This image made Perseus feel inexplicably familiar, as if he had seen it on a mural somewhere....

"Hydra! Are you Hydra Hydra? Why are you here!"

"Brother?"

Hearing Perseus's words, the three Gorgon sisters were obviously very surprised. It was because since the birth, this brother hadn't contacted him for over three hundred years.

Spitting snake mail, Hydra sneered.

"I swore I wouldn't purge my involvement in human strife, but then again, I don't seem to have said I wouldn't mind my sister, do I? Do I have to sit by and watch you kill my sister? You've got to be kidding me. Perseus..."

Swallowing, Perseus was acutely aware that the three Gorgon sisters were closing in behind him, and the only exit had been blocked by Hydra Hydra, now Perseus was literally at the end of his rope.

"You can't kill me! I have the blood of the Zeus God-King flowing through my veins!"

At Perseus' words, Hydra laughed disdainfully.

"Zeus? You mean the old stallion? Let me guess, he saw how beautiful your mother was and raped her until she got pregnant, then he gave birth to you. No need to argue, I know Zeus' temper much better than you do, and in his eyes, success in the pursuit of a woman means getting that woman pregnant. Isn't that right? You poor bastard..."

"You-!!!"

"What? Are you angry? Or is there no room for rebuttal at all? Can you remember how many half-brothers you have? That's pathetic, mongrel."

Just as Perseus was about to retort, suddenly, the sky lit up with divine light, and Athena, spindle at her waist, wrapped around a serpent, wearing an olive crown, with an owl falling from her shoulders. A divine spear in her hand fell from the clouds.

"Hydra, you can't hurt him! Unless you want to start a war between the Gods!"

Hearing Athena's words, Hydra wasn't afraid, but instead sneered, "Yo, if it isn't the goddess of war and wisdom. Are you stupid? A goddess of wisdom with a head the size of a walnut? It was Perseus who tried to sneak up on my sister, wasn't it? Am I supposed to let him kill my family and get away with it? You're the ones who jumped into this mess, right? You really think I'm blind? Your shield, Hermes' flying boots, Hades' invisible helmet...fairies? I'm afraid you've been planning this all along, haven't you? Do you think so? My dear Miss Athena~"

Hearing Hydra's words, Athena frowned darkly.

"Watch your language! Hydra!"

Hearing Athena's words, Hydra acted dismissive.

"My use of words? Aren't you just a bitch? Your father, Zeus, devoured his first wife, Mortis, when she was pregnant because Zeus feared being overthrown by his own child to rule like his father. Right after swallowing Mortis, he began to get severe headaches and then gave birth to you from his head. Defending your father like a bitch, even becoming his number one intellect. It's disgusting..."

As she said it, Hydra made out like a provocation to vomit.

Mortis means wisdom. This was the legendary first wife of Zeus. She was later eaten by Zeus. Because he feared that the child she gave birth to would take away his political position that he had gained through hardship. Zeus himself became ruler of Mount Olympus by subduing his father. After eating Mortis, Zeus gave birth to Athena from his own head.

Hearing Hydra's provocation, Athena's eyebrows rose and she gripped the divine spear in her hand.

"You're provoking me! Hydra!!!"

"I'm just trying to provoke you, but don't you dare touch me. Your god-king, Zeus, however, has made an oath to Kaos, the god of chaos. You may use your divine power to try your hand against the power of Kaos, the god of chaos. May you be able to leave a whole body behind. My dear Goddess of Wisdom~"

With that, Hydra turned around and gave Athena, who was unprotected and open behind her, her back.

Bringing Perseus up by the throat, Hydra stripped off Hades' invisibility helmet, Athena's bronze shield, the pouch of gods that could immunize against curses, and all of Hermes' flying boots.

With a grimace, he threw Perseus to Athena's feet. Hydra said with disdain, "See, Perseus. This is your sister, the goddess of war and wisdom, Lord Athena~~"

But because of the curse of Chaos God Kaos, Athena left the island with Perseus' body, saying "I will repay the shame of today".

Athena didn't even ask for the goddesses that Hydra plundered, but as she watched Athena leave, Hydra turned her attention to the three Gorgon sisters behind her.
