Me, Hydra

I, Hydra, chapter 34.

........

A reader wrote me privately asking if I could change the title of the book, so I'll leave the choice to you....

"Change"

"No change."

Begging for tickets....

Volume 1: Text-45 - Zeus's Spies

For Raze, this was definitely a day to remember.

As mentioned before, Raze was the subordinate who had followed Hydra for the longest and most loyal, no matter what Raze would do his best to accomplish, and from this point of view alone, Hydra would never treat Raze badly.

"From now on, Raze. You become the Seat of Martyrdom. This is the Golden Apple, eat him, you are enough to bear this honor."

As she said that, Hydra handed over the youthful fruit she had begged from the Norse Gods to Raze.

Raze's lifespan had been greatly extended by Hydra, but helplessly, Raze was still fundamentally a human life form, and not in any way compatible with the Eternal Species. The Warner clans of Northern Europe didn't have immortality of immortality at first, but the Fruit of Youth gave them the ability to live forever, and Hydra never doubted Raze, just as Raze never doubted Hydra....

Looking at Raze standing in front of Hydra, Hercules, sitting on the spectator stand, touched his chin with small interest.

Although his own purpose was the Twelve Trials, because of Raze's various compulsions, Hercules had risen an unprecedented curiosity about Sparta, and the fact that Sparta's year-end hale was a grand festival, which just happened to not be too far away, so Hercules decided to come here and take a look.

"Che, he's your enemy, you should be looking like you're gnashing your teeth right now."

As she said that, Atalanta on the other side grimly picked up a skewer of Spartan-style kebabs and ate them.

Shaking his head, Hercules smiled and said.

"How so~ Though obviously an enemy, I personally consider Raze a friend, as you can feel, he had several opportunities to come down on me, but changed it to gentle means like teleporting a thousand miles away, how could I be upset if my friend received a compliment?"

"Cut, dead faggot..."

As she said that, Atalanta turned her head with a disgusted face.

Hearing that, Hercules helplessly shrugged his shoulders, Atalanta hadn't stopped talking about herself during the days of traveling with Atalanta. But such things passed quickly, there was no need to care.

As he thought about it, Hercules was about to continue watching the festivities when Atalanta's voice came back to his ears.

"But that golden apple looks like it's delicious..."

Tapping his forehead helplessly, Hercules explained.

"I don't know if golden apples are good or not, but you should know that they're definitely not easy to get, no matter what time of year it is..."

"...cut, no-good guy..."

As she said that, Atalanta looked at Hercules in disgust and then quickly turned her head as if she saw something dirty.

This was very frustrating for Hercules, and after a moment's thought, Hercules continued, "My eleventh trial is to pick the golden apple of Hesperides, and I will give you another one when I get there."

"That's what you said! It's a deal!"

Looking at the suddenly radiant Atalanta in front of him, Hercules shrugged his shoulders helplessly.

After a moment of silence, Atalanta suddenly said.

"Did that bald scoop named Raze say he had all the knowledge in the Great Spartan Library?"

"Well...he did say that. What happened?"

In the meantime, Atalanta spoke seriously.

"In that case... the favorite attendant of the goddess of hunting, Artemis, would have been recorded, right?"

"Or...maybe..."

There was a bit of uncertainty in Hercules' tone, but it was clear from Ruiz's words that Ruiz held the Great Library of Sparta in high esteem, and not only that, but Ruiz was able to easily name all the events, large and small, of Olympus from the past to the present....

This caused Hercules some hesitation.

"I'm not sure, but if Raze is right there should be..."

Upon hearing the news, Atalanta immediately got up after a moment of silence and left the celebration square, quickly darting towards the Great Library of Sparta.

Opened his mouth, Hercules did not stop, after all, find his benefactor is Atalanta's wish, and now his friend's chance to fulfill his wish is close at hand, as a friend himself how would he stop?

"Let's hope Ata finds his benefactor soon..."

As he spoke, Hercules shook his head and refocused his attention on the celebration.

In fact, the celebration was not just Hercules the Outlander, but also the many tribal commanders from northern Europe, and the Greek travelers.

Patrolling the circumference of the celebration as a guard, Quintus was acutely aware of a familiar scent.

Not the scent of a close companion of his own like Leonidas, but the kind of mutual attraction that came from the bloodline.

But then again, his own mother, Callisto, had lived alone since her arrival in Sparta, and had never had any desire to marry again. Then the result of the problem is obvious.

It was a mutual attraction from the father's blood!

Thinking so, Quintus' gaze gradually became heavier.

This caused Leonidas, who was using the side as a guard, to feel a little confused.

"What's wrong? Quintus? Find out what's going on?"

Nodding, Quintus said in a slightly murderous voice.

"Some spy of Zeus has infiltrated Sparta..."

I went to bed at 4am yesterday and I'm still a little fuzzy on consciousness....

Volume I: Text - 46 - Dying as a Warrior

Watching the festivities with small interest, Hercules suddenly felt a sudden stare.

"Well...?"

Turning his head in confusion, Hercules suddenly found a young man in Spartan Guard armor watching him.

Frowning in confusion, Hercules looked very confused, you know, Sparta's claim is that this is a non-discriminatory metropolis, did they discover the bloodline in his body? But even so, he had once burned the immortal divinity in his body when he fought Raze. In other words, it was basically impossible for Spartan to discover his true identity except for extremely individual people....

"Was it sent by Hydra...?"
