Chapter 561: Three Powers of the Jade Purification Vase
—
Skill: Jade Purification Radiance: Active Skill. The Jade Purification Vase’s healing ability. When activated, the vase releases streams of spiritual water, restoring 500 HP per second and increasing resistance to all negative status effects by 30%. While the Jade Purification Vase remains in the user’s inventory, this skill stays active automatically.
—
It truly lived up to its reputation as one of the Seven Ancient Sacred Vases, and the effect was simply incredible. A permanent 500 HP per second regeneration with no activation cost or conditions was already powerful enough to justify its legendary status. And that was only the first skill; there were still two more to see.
—
Water Jade Vase: Active Skill. The user can mentally store any liquid, including water, wine, juice, medicinal liquids, and similar substances, inside the Jade Purification Vase. All stored liquids are automatically categorized and can be retrieved at will.
—
Liquid storage? Marcus’s eyes immediately lit up.
Without wasting a second, he activated Water Jade Vase and extended his thoughts into the vase’s interior. Sure enough, Lady Green Tide had already left three different kinds of liquid stored inside. With another thought, detailed information about each one appeared before him.
—
Flowing Cloud Spring Water: Special Item. Quantity: 50 jars.
A rare spring water created when clouds descend deep beneath the earth and gradually merge with underground springs, requiring a full century to mature.
Effect: Using one jar while forging weapons or equipment greatly improves the quality of the finished item and increases the forging success rate by 30%.
—
The first liquid alone was already a valuable treasure for any blacksmith. The second was even better.
—
Green Tide Aged Brew: Mythic-grade Wine. Quantity: 88 jars.
A legendary wine personally brewed by Lady Green Tide using sacred herbs and spiritual grains from Green Tide Immortal Pavilion. It possesses an exceptionally mellow aroma and remarkable restorative properties. After aging inside the Jade Purification Vase for more than ten thousand years, both its flavor and spiritual potency have reached astonishing heights.
Effect: After drinking, water-element attack power increases by 20%, water resistance increases by 20%, and swimming speed increases by 3. Duration: 2 days.
—
"Excellent," Marcus said, immediately asking Lily to bring out the cups they normally used during their meals. There were eighty-eight jars in total, each holding roughly a liter of wine, so there was no reason to be stingy. He poured everyone a generous cup.
"What incredible wine..." The rich fragrance drifted through the air the moment it was poured. Despite being aged for over ten thousand years, it wasn’t harsh or overpowering; instead, it was exceptionally smooth, leaving behind a rich sweetness that lingered pleasantly on the tongue. Even the girls, who normally didn’t drink much, couldn’t resist helping themselves to another cup after finishing the first.
The final liquid stored inside the vase turned out to be nothing more than ordinary seawater. Apparently, while resting within the whirlpool for thousands of years, the Jade Purification Vase had continuously absorbed the surrounding ocean water.
At first, Marcus thought it was completely useless. Then he read the vase’s third skill, and suddenly, that ordinary seawater became priceless.
—
Raging Tides: Active Skill. During the ten thousand years the Jade Purification Vase remained within the swirling whirlpool while nourishing the Water Kirin egg, it continuously absorbed seawater and accumulated an enormous reserve of water energy.
Effect: Releases an enormous tidal wave measuring one hundred meters long and twenty meters wide. Enemies caught within the waves suffer continuous damage, with each successive wave becoming stronger than the previous one.
Limitation: Consumes 1,000 MP per second while active. If the user’s MP falls below 1,000, the skill immediately ends and enters a 30-minute cooldown. The Jade Purification Vase currently contains enough stored seawater to maintain the skill for a total of 300 seconds.
—
Marcus immediately checked his mana. In his fully empowered state, he had well over 10,000 MP, and that wasn’t even counting his mana regeneration, meaning he could sustain Raging Tides for at least ten straight seconds. Ten seconds of devastating tidal waves powerful enough to sweep across an entire battlefield—just imagining it made him eager to test the skill.
Finally, Marcus decided to experiment with the vase’s storage ability. He took out the nine jars of Spring of Purity they had collected earlier, and with a single thought, every drop of spring water flew out of the jars and disappeared into the Jade Purification Vase, neatly compressed and stored inside.
"Heh." A satisfied grin spread across Marcus’s face. From now on, whenever they discovered a valuable liquid, he wouldn’t have to worry about carrying around heavy barrels or finding enough empty containers. The Jade Purification Vase solved that problem perfectly.
After storing everything away, Marcus looked around the whirlpool chamber. It had become completely deserted, and with the Navy Captain defeated, the undead sea monsters no longer resurrected. The only real regret was that none of them knew how to make use of the rich spiritual energy constantly flowing from the whirlpool.
Lily looked toward Marcus. "Marcus, why don’t we head to Green Tide Immortal Pavilion first?"
Everyone immediately agreed; the plan had always been to explore Lady Green Tide’s sanctuary before returning to Dragon’s Roar Isle to relax and enjoy the beaches.
"Sounds good," Marcus said, having no objections. His only concern was whether the path leading to Green Tide Immortal Pavilion had survived beneath the Storm Seal. With that in mind, he and Pebble took the lead as everyone headed toward the whirlpool.
However, the moment Blackie stepped onto the edge of the swirling water, the women suddenly stopped.
"Marcus," Amber called out, "the system says we have to be at least Level 50 to enter the whirlpool."
Marcus blinked. There was actually a level requirement? Unwilling to give up so easily, they tried flying directly over it instead. The moment they reached about three meters above the whirlpool, a powerful gust erupted from below, instantly pushing them back to the edge before they could get any closer.
There was no forcing their way through. ’Looks like Level 50 really was mandatory,’ Marcus thought with a sigh.
Unfortunately, reaching Level 50 also meant returning to Dragon’s Peak Citadel for their advancement trial, and considering how far away it was, that meant another lengthy voyage across the sea before they could continue exploring this place. It was frustrating, but there was nothing they could do.
"Oh well. We’ll head to Dragon’s Roar Isle first."
With their plans settled, everyone retraced their steps while chatting and laughing along the way. Thinking about everything they had gained on Crescent Island, Marcus couldn’t help feeling that the journey had been more than worthwhile. The thing that pleased him the most was the 188 Soft Moon Stones sitting safely inside his inventory. Unfortunately, he still hadn’t found any suitable socket gems; otherwise, he could have started strengthening his equipment immediately.
Since they already knew the way back, the return trip was much smoother. They quickly left Crescent Island behind, and this time, they didn’t need to navigate through the complicated seal that had blocked their entrance earlier, allowing them to pass directly through the Blue-Eyed Sea Lions’ territory before surfacing.
When they emerged from the sea and boarded the luxury yacht Marcus had summoned, they discovered they had surfaced far away from the place where they had originally dived. Curious, Marcus jumped back into the water to investigate, but even after activating Eagle’s Vision and searching the surrounding sea several times, he couldn’t find the slightest trace of the sealing formation.
Crescent Island had completely disappeared.
What Marcus didn’t know was that the island’s sealing formation was powered by the moonlight contained within the Ancient Moon Meteor Bow, a force so mysterious that even ancient immortals had been unable to fully comprehend it. Whether anyone could ever find Crescent Island again would depend entirely on fate.
"Alright!" Marcus smiled as he climbed back aboard the yacht. "Dragon’s Roar Isle, here we come!"
The luxury yacht surged forward once more, skillfully weaving around the territories of powerful sea monsters while following the route marked on Silas the Wanderer’s map.
After seven or eight hours of sailing, the familiar peaks of Twin Wing Island finally appeared on the horizon, its two tallest mountains standing side by side like a pair of giant lovebirds spreading their wings and making the island instantly recognizable even from a great distance.
