Chapter 529 - 523: If You Want to Bully Her, I Won’t Allow It
After a while, Toby Dalton was carried back.
He had just come out of surgery, and just like that, he had lost his manhood.
His expression was as grim as one would expect.
Lying on the bed, his handsome face was deathly pale and shrouded in gloom.
Saphira Sutton stood to the side, not daring to speak. She watched his expression carefully, trying to figure out what she should say.
"Toby, I really don’t remember..."
"Shut up!" he snapped before she could finish.
Saphira Sutton trembled in fear and swallowed the words she had been about to say.
Time seemed to stand still. Saphira Sutton didn’t dare say another word.
Toby Dalton’s mood had hit rock bottom. He couldn’t accept this reality.
Just then, there was a knock at the door.
"What is it?"
"May I come in and speak, sir?"
"Come in." Toby Dalton opened his eyes.
"Young Master Dalton, there’s a problem."
"What’s wrong?"
"The news about your... condition has reached the media. It’s causing a massive stir online!"
Upon hearing this, Toby Dalton was enraged. "What!"
He shot upright, the movement jarring his surgical wound. The anesthetic had worn off, and his handsome face contorted into a grimace of pain.
He was in agony.
"Who leaked this! How could it have gotten out! Go find out for me!"
’He’d just gotten out of surgery. For the news to have already reached the media, it was clear that things weren’t that simple.’
"I’ve already investigated, sir, but I couldn’t find the source of the leak."
"Damn it!" Toby Dalton was on the verge of a breakdown. He took a long, deep breath. "Get me the laptop."
Saphira Sutton quickly handed him the laptop from the desk. His fingers flew across the keyboard.
His expression grew darker and darker as he read. When he was finished, he smashed the laptop screen with his fist.
Saphira Sutton gasped and rushed to get the first-aid kit. The moment she sat on the edge of the bed, he roared at her, "Get the hell out!"
She flinched. Knowing she was in the wrong, she said, "Toby, don’t be like this. Your hand is bleeding."
His eyes were frigid. "I don’t need your concern. Someone, lock her up!"
Saphira Sutton’s face went pale with fright. "Toby, no! Please, don’t lock me up..."
Toby Dalton’s men immediately dragged Saphira Sutton out and locked her in a dark room.
He was left alone in the room. The silence seemed to amplify the long-suppressed rage inside him, making him feel as if he would shatter from the inside out.
’What dignity does a man have left without his manhood? He can’t even touch a woman anymore. What joy is there left in life?’
’Not to mention ever having children of his own.’
’It’s just a foolish dream now.’
’From now on, he would have to live the rest of his life under the strange stares of others.’
At this thought, an unconcealable hatred blazed in Toby Dalton’s eyes.
「Several days passed quietly, and soon it was the sixth of May.」
It was the day of Leon Lynch and Holly Wood’s wedding.
Mrs. Lynch was now able to get out of bed and walk.
Although Leon had told her she didn’t have to attend, Mrs. Lynch decided to be there for the sake of the Lynch Family’s reputation.
The wedding was held at the Lynch family estate.
After many days of preparation, all of Leon Lynch’s hard work was finally paying off.
When Nora Ainsworth and her family of three arrived, Leon Lynch had already left to fetch the bride.
Dylan Grant, the flower boy, was waiting at the main gate with the groomsmen and bridesmaids.
After about half an hour, the wedding procession returned.
Dressed in a white suit, his face beaming with joy, Leon Lynch opened the car door. He swept Holly Wood out of the car in his arms and set her down on the red carpet.
The two flower children took their places, and the groomsmen and bridesmaids got ready as well.
Taking Holly Wood’s hand, Leon Lynch slowly walked toward the other end of the red carpet.
Nora Ainsworth and Quentin Grant held hands tightly, watching the newlyweds’ ceremony from a distance. Moved by the scene, Quentin leaned in and whispered into her ear, "When we get married, I’ll make sure you’re a hundred times more beautiful than she is."
Nora Ainsworth tilted her face up. "Where are you planning for us to have our wedding?"
"I already have a plan in mind, Nora. I’ll make you the most beautiful bride in the entire world. In fact, I’ve already started planning our wedding. I’m just waiting for the day I can bring you home as my wife in grand style."
"Okay."
Their fingers intertwined, and they both smiled joyfully.
The ceremony concluded.
Nora Ainsworth made sure Dylan Grant stayed close to Quentin Grant, then went to the bridal suite by herself.
The bridal suite was crowded with people. When Leon Lynch saw her enter, his eyes crinkled in a smile. "Nora."
Nora Ainsworth nodded and walked over to the couple.
She placed the thick red envelope she was holding into Holly Wood’s hands. "Congratulations. I’m so happy for you both. Honestly, on your big day, I think I’m even happier than you are. Holly, you’re a good woman. Marrying Leon, you’re going to be so happy. He’s very thoughtful. And, let me tell you a little secret..." She took a step forward and whispered something in Holly Wood’s ear, making the bride laugh.
