The brothers were still celebrating at the dining table, while Violet Zimmerman had already been escorted by her younger brother-in-law back to the bridal room.

Thinking of Daxton Lancaster’s reddened eyes, Violet Zimmerman still felt a bit uneasy, "Joseph, I’m worried Daxton might drink too much."

"Don’t worry, sister-in-law, you can rest assured, I’ll go over and keep an eye on him," Joseph Lancaster said with a reassuring smile to Violet Zimmerman.

"Alright, Joseph, make sure to watch over your big brother, don’t let him drink too much; it’s not good for his health."

Joseph Lancaster had already walked out the door, but Violet Zimmerman still followed with concern, reminding him from behind, forcing Joseph Lancaster to turn around and smile.

"Sister-in-law, don’t worry, having a brother like me, big brother definitely won’t get drunk!"

After Joseph Lancaster left, Violet Zimmerman was assisted by the servants up the stairs. She wasn’t good with alcohol; after toasting the elders, she already felt dizzy.

Although her thoughts were still coherent, Violet Zimmerman knew that she was drunk.

With bright red sheets and a bright red wedding quilt, the servants settled Violet Zimmerman in before returning to their quarters. Daxton Lancaster didn’t return until the latter half of the night.

The man was holding onto the railing, his steps on the stairs seemed heavy.

On a day of celebration, he couldn’t escape the toasts, later having his brother Joseph Lancaster handle them on his behalf. But recalling how his brother ran to the foot of the tree to vomit halfway through, Daxton Lancaster couldn’t help but laugh.

Unknowingly, his brother had grown up and could help him fend off drinks.

"Violet, I’m home," the man’s hoarse voice sounded weak; throughout the day, he had hardly eaten anything.

A servant was awakened by the noise, threw on a coat, and ran out of the room to stand in the hallway, watching the stairs.

"Family Head, are you hungry? Would you like a bowl of late-night snack or a hangover soup?"

Daxton Lancaster shook his head while holding the railing, "It’s late, let’s rest."

"Yes, Family Head." The servant only returned to their room once Daxton Lancaster made his way up the stairs.

The bedroom had a light left on, dark red, quite festive.

Opening the door, Daxton Lancaster staggered to the bed and sat down heavily. Watching the woman already asleep on the bed, his drunken eyes seemed dull.

Under the dark red ambiance, Violet Zimmerman’s face glowed with a pink flush, her lips resembled ripe cherries, glistening and rosy.

Daxton Lancaster’s adam’s apple moved seductively as he swiftly removed his wedding attire and climbed under the quilt.

The woman’s body was amazingly soft. Daxton Lancaster stretched out his long arm to pull Violet Zimmerman into his embrace. The kiss was purely instinctive, unlike the roughness of the evening; it was filled with careful cherishing.

In her dream, Violet Zimmerman felt her breath being obstructed, opened her eyes to see an enlarged handsome face.

The man had his eyelids lowered; his gaze rested on her lips.

Though both inexperienced, some things seemed innate; as the kissing deepened, the two on the bed had already shifted positions, man above woman below, the most standard and primitive.

As if everything had naturally reached its course, Daxton Lancaster suddenly rolled over and lay on the bed, gently patting Violet Zimmerman’s back, saying, "Sleep, it’s getting late."

Feeling somewhat disappointed, as it was their wedding night, but the reserved woman wouldn’t proactively suggest anything.

With a gentle murmur, Violet Zimmerman reached out to turn off the light, and as she lay back on the bed, her back already pressed against a firm chest, the man’s body heat transmitted from behind, warm and secure. Closing her eyes, Violet Zimmerman’s lips curved upward.

A good night’s sleep, in the morning, the two were awakened by the servants in the room.

Auntie Li stood outside the bedroom door, gently knocking, "Family Head, Madam, breakfast time has arrived, it’s time to serve tea to the Old Master,"
