Chapter 1493 - 1485: Wherever the Eye Can See, There Is Eternal Love (Part 6)
After a night of hangover, Daxton Lancaster rubbed his temples and responded with a nasal sound.
Actually, Violet Zimmerman had long been awake, but she was worried about waking the man whose arm was around her, so she pretended to sleep.
Upon hearing the man respond, Violet opened her eyes, tilted her face, and looked up from under the man’s chin.
After a night, stubble had sprouted in a bluish tint on the man’s chin. When he rubbed his temples, his chin brushed against her forehead, tickling, a sensation she had never experienced, quite wondrous.
Violet smiled, raised her hand, and gently rubbed the other side of Daxton Lancaster’s temple. He opened his eyes slightly and glanced at her. Violet tenderly said, "Good morning."
In the morning light, the woman’s face was like a peach blossom in March, showing an enticing pink hue. Daxton Lancaster’s eyes darkened slightly but suddenly lifted the big red wedding quilt.
"Get up, let’s go and serve tea to Grandpa."
Watching the man in a bright red pajama walk towards the bathroom, Violet Zimmerman let out a long breath.
Moving into the Lancaster Family, Violet truly experienced what it was like to be the matriarch of the household.
The only thing she did by herself was washing up. A servant stood by her side, and upon seeing her finish washing her face, quickly handed her a towel. After she wiped clean, the servant carefully helped her back to the dressing table.
Two servants, one helped her with her hair, the other opened the cosmetics to assist her with makeup...
By this time, Daxton Lancaster had already changed into formal wear, now resting his closed eyes on the sofa waiting for Violet Zimmerman to finish her makeup so they could serve tea to the elders of the family.
Violet turned her head, softly calling, "Daxton."
Daxton Lancaster opened his eyes; despite the hangover, his eyes were remarkably clear.
His handsome brows furrowed slightly, puzzled, he asked, "What’s wrong?"
Violet glanced at the two servants waiting by her side to help with her makeup and hair, hesitating for a moment, she said, "Please let them leave, I’m not used to it."
Being attended to like this, she felt like an ancient lady who never left the house, although her needs were met with a mere gesture, Violet felt like a helpless infant; this feeling made her uncomfortable.
Daxton furrowed his brows again, tiredly rubbing his brow as he instructed, "You two go out, in the future, you don’t need to attend to Madam’s grooming."
The two servants bowed slightly and replied, "Yes." Then they put down the comb and cosmetics and walked out.
Seeing the servants so cautiously, Violet felt it was a bit exaggerated. Her own family hired help for laundry and cooking, but it was not as extreme as the Lancaster Family, sometimes she even joked around with the household help.
But the Lancaster family’s servants, they were like maidservants bought by wealthy families in the past, if she hadn’t seen it with her own eyes, Violet truly wouldn’t have believed such families still exist in this era.
After the servants left, Violet took a box of lotion, squeezed it onto her fingertips, and dotted it evenly on her forehead and face. After spreading it evenly, she applied some lightening face powder.
She had a beautiful eyebrow shape and thick brows, so she didn’t need an eyebrow pencil. She applied lipstick, combed her newly permed hair, and turned to Daxton Lancaster.
"Daxton, does this look okay?"
Daxton Lancaster opened his eyes, Violet’s seated position was just near the window, the morning light streamed through the glass, casting on the woman. Under the sunlight, in her bright red outfit, her features were picturesque, her lips gently curved.
Daxton Lancaster stood up and walked over, his eyes fixed intently on the woman at the dressing table. He came to her, grasping her hands, his eyes filled with an unacknowledged tenderness.
"Beautiful." His wife, Violet Zimmerman, was the most beautiful woman in the world.
