Chapter 1437 - 1431: A Qualified Dad (Part 2)
Originally, he handled it skillfully, but the little one wouldn’t stop crying. Evander Lancaster was also at a loss, worried the baby might cry too much and concerned about waking up Sophia Hamilton, so he hastily called his mother-in-law for help.
Juliana Lancaster suddenly remembered that in the sudden turn of events, she was so focused on the safety of the mother and child that she forgot to prepare the baby formula!
The baby must be hungry, which is why he’s crying non-stop.
After buying formula and bottles from the supermarket, Juliana Lancaster returned to the hospital. Just as she got out of the taxi, she ran into Violet Zimmerman, who had come back again.
Violet Zimmerman walked ahead, carrying several paper bags, followed by her assistant, who was also carrying a lot of things.
Juliana Lancaster caught up with a few quick steps and politely said, "Hey there, you’re here again?"
"Ah, in-law, I came to bring them some nutritional supplements." Violet Zimmerman greeted warmly, and the two elders walked into the hospital together.
In the supermarket, Juliana Lancaster chose the best formula, but compared to what Violet Zimmerman brought, it seemed inadequate to present.
Though the one she bought was also imported, it had Chinese labels, while Violet’s was all in foreign languages, brought back from New Zealand by her and Joseph Lancaster.
Moreover, it was produced by their own farm’s dairy cows, so the quality was absolutely reliable.
While preparing the formula, Violet Zimmerman said, "In-law, there’s no need to particularly buy formula in the future, as we produce this ourselves."
Previously, Juliana Lancaster was worried about her daughter’s relationship with the in-laws, but it now seemed that with a grandchild, Violet Zimmerman’s attitude showed no sign of awkwardness.
She even thoughtfully prepared an empty pacifier for the grandson. Although Juliana Lancaster didn’t approve of the baby having it in his mouth all day, it worked in a pinch. Once the empty pacifier was in the baby’s mouth, he stopped crying.
Sophia Hamilton was in a sedated state after the anesthetic and surgery. Learning from the two mothers how to prepare formula and change diapers, Evander Lancaster then sent the two elders home.
Taking care of his own wife was his responsibility, especially with the hospital’s dedicated nursery care available at his call.
Following the elders’ instructions before they left, Evander Lancaster fed his son formula again in the middle of the night. Watching the little one suck on the nipple so hard that his cheeks sunk in, Evander’s gaze turned tender. He couldn’t take his eyes off the little one’s face for a moment and murmured with a smile, "My son’s mouth is really strong!"
Before going to sleep, he changed the little one’s diaper again. For an ordinary man, this might be difficult, especially since the baby was just born. But for Evander Lancaster, a doctor accustomed to handling surgical tools, it was much easier. Supporting the baby’s bottom with one hand and the diaper with the other, he had the new one on in just a few minutes.
Experiencing fatherhood for the first time, Evander Lancaster was too excited to feel any hint of sleepiness. He stood in front of the crib, gazing at the sleeping baby, occasionally touching the little face, sometimes the tiny hand...
The next day, Nicholas Croft, Nathan Moore, and Felix Shaw and his wife arrived at the hospital in succession. Titus Zane was also pregnant, her small belly just beginning to show, and Nathan Moore treated her like a protected panda.
He was holding her wrist with one hand and gently supporting her waist with the other, walking with careful precision.
Sophie Foster couldn’t stand it, swiftly walking over to rescue Titus Zane from Nathan Moore’s "clutches."
"Uncle Nathan, though Leah is expecting, your way of protecting her like this will give her psychological pressure!"
"Leah, do you feel pressured?"
Nathan Moore asked with concern, and Titus Zane sighed helplessly, nodding, "Yes, you always stop me from doing this or that, making me constantly worry about the baby being lost."
Nathan Moore...
Blame me for causing my wife such pressure.
