Chapter 1627 - 1613: As Far as the Eye Can See, Everlasting: Could Your Uncle Take a Fancy to Her?
Behind him, Daxton Lancaster glanced at his brother, who continued to entertain the guests, then at his wife as she left with his sister. His dark almond eyes narrowed slightly, but when he turned back to entertain the guests, his face was once again brimming with enthusiasm.
Just like on the day of the wedding, Violet Zimmerman had returned to her residence early. However, this time, it was not her brother-in-law who brought her back, but her sister-in-law, Aurora Lancaster.
She was accompanied by two others, her mother Aria Williams and her cousin Lucy Zimmerman.
T City is more than a three-hour drive from F City. After the meal, the family left early, with Aria saying she wanted to stay with her daughter for a night. In fact, it was a pretense for carrying out her third aunt’s request, with the intention of arranging a marriage between Lucy Zimmerman and Joseph Lancaster.
The car drove through the gates of the Lancaster Family’s residence. Seeing the row of small Western-style houses and the manicured lawns, Lucy couldn’t help but turn around and ask excitedly.
"Violet, do you always live here?"
Violet, sandwiched between her mother and sister-in-law, forced a smile and responded begrudgingly. On her left, Aurora Lancaster gave Lucy an annoyed glare and bluntly muttered.
"You’re such a country bumpkin. Where else would our sister-in-law live if not here?"

"Ahem," Lucy cleared her throat and glanced through the rearview mirror with a peek. This was her future sister-in-law, so she had to be careful not to offend her.
Aria disapproved of her niece’s behavior, thinking it was embarrassing to their family.
Although the Zimmermans weren’t as wealthy as the Lancasters, they had seen the world.
The car had already passed several Western-style houses. Lucy couldn’t resist asking again, "Violet, which one is yours?"
"Oh, it’s that one right up front."
As she spoke, the car stopped in front of Violet’s residence. Seeing the two-story Western-style house, Lucy opened her mouth in awe.
No wonder Violet’s in-laws are so rich; that’s why her brother-in-law often gives business deals to the elder brother’s family.
"Sister-in-law, Aunt, I won’t accompany you inside. I’m preparing for the high school entrance exams next year, so I need to go back and study."
Aurora Lancaster politely said goodbye.
Aria hurriedly smiled and said, "Go ahead, don’t let us delay your studies."
Aria and her niece followed her daughter inside. In the hallway, two servants hurried over, respectfully addressing Violet as Madam. One took the child while the other offered slippers to the guests.
Seeing how grand her cousin’s home was, Lucy felt all the more envious.
Violet instructed a servant to go wash the fruit. Lucy gazed around at the luxurious decorations of the Western-style house, not knowing where to look first.
"Violet, are all the houses here like this?"
"More or less."
Violet responded indifferently. She hadn’t thought much of her cousin before but realized today how annoying she was.
"Mom, you and Lucy can sit wherever you’d like. I’ll go upstairs to change Robert’s diaper."
Violet had just headed toward the stairs when Lucy followed, "Violet, mind if I come up and have a look?"
Violet glanced back at her mother, her face full of helplessness, "Mom, why don’t you come up too and rest in the guest room for a bit."
Aria and Lucy followed Violet upstairs to the second floor. Violet went to her room to change the baby’s diaper and then sat on the bed to nurse.
Like a tourist, Lucy looked around Violet’s place inside and out. She saw a swing hanging outside in the yard and went to sit on it.
A servant stood by her side, holding a tray of fruit.
"Violet, do you think your brother-in-law might fancy our Lucy?" With Lucy not around, Aria gingerly asked.
Violet lowered her eyes to her nursing son, clearly indifferent to the matter, "I don’t know."
