Chapter 1626 - 1612: As Far as the Eyes Can See, Eternal—Neglect
The third aunt’s intention was too obvious. Violet Zimmerman wasn’t an idiot; she could see that she had her eyes on her little uncle.
An unusual feeling arose in her heart, causing a sharp pain. Unsure of the intention, Violet said, "Joseph is twenty-two this year and he just broke up with someone."
"Twenty-two, twenty-two..." The third aunt watched Joseph and his big brother Daxton Lancaster busy together, muttering the age repeatedly.
"Sister-in-law, you aren’t..." Aria Williams leaned over and asked tentatively.
The third aunt withdrew her gaze, leaned forward with a smiling face.
"Sister-in-law, you see Lucy is already nineteen, there’s a three-year difference with Violet’s little uncle. You should ask Violet to make a match. If Lucy also marries into the Lancaster Family, wouldn’t the sisters take care of each other?"
Aria withdrew her body, turned and looked at her daughter who was coaxing the child, "Violet, what do you think?"
Violet forced a smile, unwilling at heart. With her mother and aunt speaking up, it wasn’t easy to refuse, especially with the two sisters-in-law also encouraging.
"Violet, ask about it. Although T City isn’t far from F City, it still takes hours to return home. If Lucy marries here, you two would have company."
"Yeah, Violet, I think Lucy and your little uncle are quite a match."
Violet glanced at her cousin opposite, sincerely not feeling they were matched.
Her little uncle had elegant eyebrows, looked cultured.
Looking again at the cousin, her appearance followed her mother, with thick eyebrows, big eyes, turned-up nose, and large lips weighing half a pound.
"Violet, can you do it or not? Just say something!"
The third aunt asked anxiously. Violet reluctantly agreed, "I’ll ask later."
"Hey, hey, hey, that would be great." The third aunt was so pleased she couldn’t close her mouth.
Before the meal started, only bowls, chopsticks, and soda were placed on the table. The third aunt promptly used her teeth to open a bottle and handed it to Violet.
"Come, Violet, have a soda, consider it my early thanks to you."
Violet placed the soda beside her, wrapped her arms around the child, and stood up.
"Mom, you accompany the third aunt and sister-in-law, I’ll find a place to nurse the baby."
"Go ahead, we’re all family, no one will mind."
Violet held the child and went to find Daxton Lancaster. Meanwhile, the third aunt leaned over again, "Sister-in-law, be sure to remind Violet not to forget."
"Don’t worry, I will." Aria promised with a smile. Although her niece’s looks were average, if she could become a sister-in-law with her daughter, it was better than a stranger. The sisters living near each other would also have mutual care.
Joseph was busy with Daxton, entertaining guests when Violet came over holding the child.
"Daxton, Robert is hungry. It’s time for nursing."
"Oh, wait,"
Daxton responded dismissively, then turned to Joseph, "Joseph, go find a quiet place for your sister-in-law."
Joseph looked back at his sister-in-law behind him, raised his head and called his sister.
"Aurora, come over here."
Aurora Lancaster ran over, "Second brother, what’s up?"
"Go find a place without people for your sister-in-law to nurse Robert."
After giving the instructions, Joseph continued to serve guests with wine.
"Let’s go, sister-in-law, there are many people here, let’s go to the bathroom. I’ll stand guard at the door."
Aurora linked arms with Violet, who was refused by Joseph. At that moment, Violet felt an inexplicable feeling in her heart.
