Chapter 1625 - 1611: Wherever the Eyes Rest, There Lies Eternity: The Full Month Banquet
In the blink of an eye, the baby was already a month old, and the old master had booked a banquet at the best hotel in T City to invite guests.
It was the same state-owned hotel where Violet Zimmerman and Daxton Lancaster got married. In a year and a half, the hotel was still the same, but many things had changed.
A lot of Violet Zimmerman’s family had come, including her parents, her two brothers and their wives, as well as uncles and aunts, filling an entire table.
"Aria, you see how lucky Violet is to have married into such a good family. Look at this full-month banquet the Lancaster Family is throwing, what a grand affair! How much must this cost?"
The third aunt looked at the room full of guests, repeatedly expressing her admiration and envy.
Violet Zimmerman smiled but said nothing.
Some things are like drinking water, only the drinker knows if it’s warm or cold.
Outsiders only see her apparent glory; who really knows what kind of life she leads.
Ten days ago, Daxton Lancaster slapped her. Although he cried and repented to her, that slap left a mark in her heart.
As a mother, nothing brings more pride than others praising her daughter’s good marriage. Aria Williams smiled and said, "I don’t really care about how grand it is; the main thing is that Daxton treats our Violet well.
Sister-in-law, you didn’t see, last year when Violet was in the hospital, Daxton visited her every day. He was managing the company and the factory, so busy, yet in his heart, our Violet has always been his number one priority."
Listening to her mother’s proud boasting, Violet Zimmerman felt a kind of bitterness she couldn’t express.
That hospitalization, to put it bluntly, was still Daxton Lancaster’s fault; if not for him, she wouldn’t have fallen down the stairs.
"Ah, your Violet is truly blessed, I wonder what kind of in-laws our Flower will find in the future."
The third aunt sighed as she looked at her own daughter.
Lucy Zimmerman looked at the guests still coming in to congratulate them, with an unmistakable envy in her eyes.
Aria took a glance at her burly niece opposite her, suppressed her disdain, and smiled, "Sister-in-law, don’t worry, each generation has its own fortune. Our Flower has a prosperous appearance and will definitely marry well in the future."
"Yes, that’s what the fortune-teller said too." The third aunt looked at her daughter and laughed with a face full of chrysanthemums.
As the two sisters-in-law were talking, Daxton Lancaster hurried over, naturally placing his hands on Violet Zimmerman’s shoulders and greeting everyone warmly.
"Mom, third aunt, sister-in-law, there are too many guests today. Please understand if we don’t take care of everyone properly."
"We understand, we understand. Go greet the guests; we’re all family here, no need to take too much care of us."
The third aunt agreed with a smile, and Aria quickly echoed the sentiment.
"Go on, Daxton, your third aunt is right, we’re all family here so no need to fuss over us, you should be busy."
Daxton lowered his eyes to look at Violet Zimmerman, "Violet, help me entertain for a bit, I’ll go check over there."
Violet curved her lips in a nod, and before she left, Daxton reached out to pinch his son’s cheek.
"Big brother, Dad’s calling you over." Joseph Lancaster came over, calling out urgently from a distance.
"Alright, coming."
Daxton gave his son a kiss on the cheek and hurriedly left.

Looking at the brothers’ backs, the third aunt curiously asked, "Sister-in-law, was that... Violet’s younger uncle?"
Aria turned to glance back, "Yes, that’s Daxton’s brother, a college graduate, now he has his own company."
Looking at the gentle and elegant man, the third aunt and her daughter’s eyes seemed glued to Joseph Lancaster.
Lucy Zimmerman anxiously grabbed her mother’s hand, and the third aunt smiled and asked, "Violet, how old is this little uncle of yours, does he have a partner?"
