Chapter 979 - 978: Impossible
Mrs. Chambers looked at his appearance, and the coldness in his eyes, not knowing why, she couldn’t speak.
"Is it because of my sister’s matter?"
Julian Ford asked.
He didn’t beat around the bush with Mrs. Chambers and went straight to the point.
"I want to see Finn Chandler."
Mrs. Chambers raised her voice and spoke again.
The wind blew, making her shiver with cold, standing on the edge, she felt as if she might be blown off at any moment.
"Mom, I can help you with sister’s matter."
"You’re standing too far outside, if you fall, you’ll lose your life."
With Julian Ford’s reminder, Mrs. Chambers turned her head to look down and realized that the hotel was very high, falling down wouldn’t just kill her, she might break everything.
Mrs. Chambers became frightened and moved forward a little.
"Mom, Finn sent sister to the police station, I heard about this too."
Hearing Julian Ford speak in such a gentle tone, Mrs. Chambers thought he was disapproving of Finn’s actions, or perhaps, Finn was keeping a lot from Julian Ford.
Her eyes suddenly lit up with joy, and she took two more steps forward.
"Mr. Ford, you must save Pearl."
"It’s all Finn’s fault, she’s jealous of her sister and that’s why she sent her to the police station!"
"What did Finn do?"
Julian Ford asked knowingly, he wanted to know if Mrs. Chambers misunderstood Finn or if she knew the truth and still thought Finn was wrong.
"How could Pearl have pushed me downstairs, it was Finn who did it."
"She was the one who pushed me."
Mrs. Chambers insisted firmly, her words only made Julian Ford laugh lightly.
"Are you sure it was Finn who pushed you."
"I swear." Mrs. Chambers couldn’t remember the situation at the time, even if she could, she felt the person who pushed her downstairs was Finn.
How could it be Pearl then?
Pearl was her precious daughter!
"Alright!"
Julian Ford responded.
His eyes instantly turned cold, feeling uncomfortable for Finn.
Even if you raise a dog, it can still develop feelings.
Mrs. Chambers didn’t seem to have any!
"Mr. Ford, you can’t marry Finn, she’s been bad since she was young."
Mrs. Chambers continued to defame Finn.
"Mrs. Chambers."
Julian Ford called out coldly, the woman in front of him had no qualifications to be Finn’s "mom," nor had the qualifications for him to call her mother-in-law!
"The mall video wasn’t given to the police by Finn, it was by me."
Julian Ford looked at Mrs. Chambers and said clearly.
"If the video was fake, the police wouldn’t dare convict Pearl."
Mrs. Chambers understood Julian Ford’s words, she shook her head with a smile.
"How is that possible?"
"Your video must be fake!"
Mrs. Chambers insisted firmly.
She had seen the video, but even after watching it, she refused to believe, and had been hypnotizing herself these past few days.
She went to the police station to see Pearl, who cried pitifully in front of her and couldn’t explain the mall incident, only saying she was framed by Finn.
And asked her to come to the hotel today to find Finn, if Finn didn’t agree to release her, let her threaten with her life.
Mrs. Chambers listened very obediently to Pearl.
She treated Finn badly, but treated Pearl well.
"If you don’t believe it, just take a good look again."
Julian Ford gestured to his secretary to throw the tablet in his hand to Mrs. Chambers.
Mrs. Chambers picked up the tablet on the ground, tapped it, and the video popped up.
Compared to what she saw in the hospital, this video was clearer, and she could even see Pearl standing aside and how she acted!
