Chapter 1165 - 1166: So Angry I Want to Hit Someone
"Outsider!"
Those words from Riley Preston made Anna Morgan furious.
She wasn’t as composed as Mrs. Monroe; upon hearing something she didn’t like, she’d simply slap the person.
With that thought, Anna quickly approached Riley. Seeing Anna getting closer, Riley hurriedly turned to run back inside the house.
Anna moved faster, grabbed Riley’s hand, and slapped her face hard and fast.
The sound of the slap was crisp and clear, prompting Ivy Preston to rush out from the doorway in a panic. Protecting Riley, she angrily said to Anna, "Anna, what are you doing!"
Ivy didn’t like Anna.
From the first time she visited The Morgan Family for dinner, she disliked this eldest daughter who was doted on by The Morgan Family.
Later, when she got together with Miles Morgan, Anna’s hostility towards her made her think she was right not to like her from the start.
The Morgan Family spoiled Anna beyond measure, and she slapped anyone who said something she didn’t like.
"Slapping outsiders." Anna, fully assertive, stood tall in front of Ivy and Riley.
Having been dealt with by Anna twice before, Riley felt a bit intimidated seeing her.
She lowered her head, hiding behind Ivy.
Ivy was already shorter than Anna, and wearing flats during her pregnancy made her even more overshadowed by Anna in terms of height and presence.
"It’s Miles who let us stay here."
Ivy replied coldly.
"This is The Monroe Residence!" Mrs. Monroe replied calmly.
"You haven’t married Miles yet." Bringing the mistress home; Miles is really something.
The mistress acting like the lady of the house, that’s quite bold too.
"I..."
Being not truly married to Miles, Ivy found herself lacking confidence.
"Yes!"
Ivy took a moment, quickly adjusting her emotions.
"It was Yara’s mistake earlier; she’s young and her words offended Mrs. Monroe and Miss Monroe."
"I’m sorry!"
Ivy apologized calmly.
Her indifferent expression along with the coldness in her eyes made it obvious that it wasn’t a genuine apology.
If it were a real apology, why would she say that Riley is young and can’t speak properly?
Riley was younger than Anna, but she was also a college student, an adult, yet her words were thoughtless, lacking proper values.
If Riley truly had sound values, as her sister, Ivy wouldn’t have become a mistress so righteously.
"But..."
Ivy shifted her tone, clearly having no intention of admitting her fault.
"I’m staying here because of Miles’ arrangements."
"The Monroe Residence is Miles’ property. Mrs. Monroe, you and Miles lost affection long ago; why insist on clinging to him?"
With Miles not around, Ivy felt it better to be clear about everything.
Otherwise, if Mrs. Monroe regretted it and didn’t want a divorce, what would she do?
"Yes, being with Miles means I intruded on your marriage." Looking at Mrs. Monroe, Ivy continued, "But I’m not the only one at fault; you are too."

"You couldn’t keep Miles’ heart; divorcing him is inevitable. It’s just that I appeared a bit earlier."
"Mrs. Monroe, if you don’t want a divorce, Miles won’t be utterly heartless. However..."
Ivy spoke softly, her hand resting on her slightly rounded belly.
"Can you accept the child in my womb?"
Ivy’s words made Mrs. Monroe’s face turn pale from anger; this mistress was so brazen, not feeling any guilt at all.
Such a perspective, it was the first time Mrs. Monroe encountered it.
