Chapter 926: No Need to Test Me
"I like you."
Julian Ford, who stood in front of her, bent down slightly, his incredibly handsome face getting so close to Finn Chandler, prompting Finn to lift her head and give him a quick kiss.
"No need to test me!"
Julian’s smile deepened, "And no need to worry."
"I’ll handle it."
With those words, Finn felt an inexplicable sense of peace.
Finn was entirely invested in her relationship with Julian, fearing that one day Julian might leave her.
The Ford Family’s opinion of her affected her mood significantly.
Fortunately, she had met Mrs. Ford, who was pretty nice to her.
Initially, she thought Julian’s sister also accepted her, but unexpectedly, Fiona Ford had two faces.
If Julian started to dislike her because of Fiona, what would she do!
In just a moment, Finn’s mind was filled with numerous thoughts.
However, Julian’s words, "I’ll handle it," truly comforted and made her happy.
What luck she had to meet such a great guy!
"You."
Julian reached out and pinched Finn’s cheek, "You’re so decisive with work, and you were even harsher when you threw me down. How come you’re becoming so prone to overthinking now?"
Recalling the incident when she threw Julian, Finn smiled a little embarrassedly, "If you dare not want me, I’ll throw you even harder!"
"Haha!"
Julian laughed.
Knowing Finn and Chloe Finch were the same person, he didn’t dislike it. Instead, after accepting it, he found himself liking the playful and adorable Finn even more.
When Julian genuinely had things to attend to, Finn wouldn’t cling to him.
She quietly stayed beside him, and even if she played with her phone, she wouldn’t make any noise to disturb Julian.
However, Finn was not one to stay idle for long, and seeing Julian work made her itch to do something too.
Using a break as an excuse, she ran to the studio inside, took out her phone, and called her secretary to ask about the recent matters of The Chambers Corporation.
Since she left Imperial Capital these past few days due to health reasons, Julian didn’t allow her to use the phone much.
On the other end, the secretary almost burst into tears upon hearing her voice.
In her few days’ absence, The Chambers Corporation was nearly in chaos.
What use were Old Master Chambers and Mr. Chambers? The old man was aged, and Mr. Chambers was no better.
Luckily, the deputy general manager, who had worked with Finn for a long time, had the ability to keep things under control but still left a bunch of tasks for Finn.
Finn instructed the secretary to sort out the most important issues and arrange the subsequent work.
Even if she wasn’t around, The Chambers Corporation wouldn’t fall apart.
Actually, at this point, a bit of chaos was beneficial, the more chaotic it was, the more it highlighted her importance.
Finn was no innocent rabbit; having emerged among a bunch of Young Master Chambers, how could she not understand all these!
Unless absolutely necessary, why would she give up The Chambers Corporation!
Finn was also very dedicated to her work; in fact, she was more driven than Julian Ford.
Julian was born with a silver spoon, unlike Finn, who had accomplished everything on her own.
That’s why Finn worked even harder, as she didn’t want to be squeezed out by the Chambers Family.
Julian recognized this resilience within her and didn’t dare let her work too tirelessly.
Once Finn started working, she forgot Julian’s warnings and even forgot she was in Julian’s office. As it gradually got dark outside and became very quiet, after staring at her phone and laptop for a long time, her eyes began to sting. She lifted her hand to rub her eyes, only to see Julian standing at the door of the lounge.
Finn quickly pushed her laptop aside, then held her phone pretending to video chat with Serena Sullivan.
"Serena is so insistent on chatting with me."
"It’s fine, it was just a few minutes!"
"Let’s go."
Julian, without exposing her little lie, smiled and said.
"Where to?"
Finn got up, walked to him, and asked.
"Taking you out to dinner."
