"Mr. Chambers, have a seat."

Mrs. Ford and Julian Ford remained composed, both the type to stay unfazed even in the face of disaster.

Under Mrs. Ford’s hospitality, Mr. Chambers, accompanied by a pretty girl, sat down with a smile on his face.

He looked over at Finn Chandler, finally taking a closer look.

"I haven’t seen Finn Chandler for some years. She used to wear suits, which is why I didn’t recognize her at first. I apologize for that."

Mr. Chambers said with a smile.

When he looked at Finn Chandler, there was no anger in his eyes; he wasn’t bothered by Finn’s identity at all.

Simply because he couldn’t care less whether Finn was a man or a woman.

Whoever gives him money is good.

Finn Chandler remained silent. She had met Mr. Chambers half a year ago at the old man’s place.

At that time, though, Mr. Chambers had his arm around a pretty girl and hadn’t spared her a glance.

Such was her biological father. Besides providing a sperm, everything else was void.

"I won’t be polite with you, Mr. Ford and Mrs. Ford."

"I’ve come today to ask for the bride price on behalf of Finn Chandler."

"My daughter is marrying your son, how much are you willing to pay!" Mr. Chambers asked with a smile.

His words, heard by everyone, gave off an impression of selling his daughter.

This daughter, whom he had ignored all these years.

"Bride price!"

Finn Chandler sneered as she picked up Mr. Chambers’ words.

This father she barely knew came over, and the first thing he asked for was money.

This money wasn’t truly intended for her; it was for himself.

"Of course."

Mr. Chambers said as if it were the most natural thing, "Where does one marry off a daughter without receiving money."

"I’m not asking for much."

"Buy me a house in Imperial Capital, and a car worth a million, and give me another ten million."

Upon opening his mouth, Mr. Chambers was asking exorbitantly.

Finn Chandler’s smile grew. Though bride price is normal, this amount was nothing to the Ford family, and Julian Ford’s bride price for her was much more substantial.

But Mr. Chambers, what right does he have to ask?

Seeing his daughter marry well, he just wants more money.

"Darling!"

After Mr. Chambers spoke, the woman beside him clung to his arm, saying sweetly, "I want a house in the city center of Imperial Capital."

"Two stories."

"Alright, alright!"

Mr. Chambers agreed with a smile, "Two stories, a villa over five hundred square meters, is that good?"

"Hmm, hmm."

"Darling, you’re so good to me."

Saying this, the young girl kissed Mr. Chambers in front of everyone, and even tossed Julian Ford flirty glances.

This Mr. Chambers was absolutely mind-blowing for Mr. Ford and Fiona Ford.

In this world, there are men like this.

To please a lover, sell his daughter and buy a house.

"Mr. Ford, Mrs. Ford."

Mr. Chambers didn’t feel he was in the wrong; he continued smiling, "To be frank, I’m planning to hold a wedding."

"You give more bride price, so I can hold a grand wedding."

"You’re getting married!"

Finn Chandler voiced out, though she was utterly disheartened with Mrs. Chambers, hearing Mr. Chambers talk about divorcing her still felt hard.

Who likes seeing their parents separated!

"Your mom deceived me; I want to divorce her."

Mr. Chambers thundered in response.

He had long wanted to divorce that old hag; due to Finn, the old man disagreed.

Now, the hag deceived him and the Chambers family, offended the old man, and he had a "darling" he wanted to marry; of course, it’s divorce and remarry.

"This old woman, what right does she have to be Mrs. Chambers!"
