"Mr. Chambers?"
Before Mrs. Ford and Mr. Ford could speak, Fiona Ford smiled at Finn Chandler and said, "I thought no one from The Chambers Family would come to attend your wedding, and I worried you might feel uncomfortable."
"Now, your dad is here, that’s great!"
Fiona Ford, afraid that Finn Chandler would refuse to see Mr. Chambers, decided first.
After discovering that Finn Chandler was actually Finn, Fiona Ford specifically had someone thoroughly investigate The Chambers Family’s people and matters inside and out.
I have to say, The Chambers Family is truly an interesting place.
In Solaria, among so many families, there are hardly any like The Chambers Family, where every member turns out to be a loser.
Even Mr. Chambers is a bastard.
So, since Mr. Chambers is here, is there any reason not to let Mr. Ford and Mrs. Ford meet him?
Let them see what kind of people Finn Chandler’s parents are!
She believed that the coming meeting and conversation would definitely be exciting.
"No way!"
Just as the servant turned to leave, Julian Ford shouted.
Mr. Chambers is Finn Chandler’s biological father, but Finn Chandler never expressed the desire to see Mr. Chambers in front of him.
Before getting married, traditionally the groom’s parents should have a meal with the bride’s family and discuss the dowry and such things.
Finn Chandler’s side was quite simple. She was marrying herself to Julian Ford.
The dowry and such matters weren’t mentioned by her, but Julian Ford prepared them anyway.
Regarding her family, Finn Chandler didn’t propose a shared meal; initially, she intended on having Mrs. Chambers and Pearl Chambers attend her wedding. After what happened at the mall, and seeing Mrs. Chambers’ attitude after waking up, Finn Chandler was no longer willing to invite them.
As for Mr. Chambers, Finn Chandler probably didn’t want him either.
"Let him in."
Finn Chandler said in a subdued voice.
She didn’t want to maintain contact with The Chambers Family, but since they were here, avoiding them wasn’t an option.
If she didn’t see them today, she would still see them tomorrow.
Besides, before getting married, who wouldn’t want their parents around?
Soon, the servant brought Mr. Chambers in.
Along with Mr. Chambers came a young and beautiful girl.
The Ford Family thought she came with Mr. Chambers as Miss Chambers.
"Finn."
Mr. Chambers, about sixty years old, walked in, his shifty eyes scanning everyone in the living room. Upon seeing Fiona Ford, he smiled and stepped forward, addressing her.
"It’s really been hard to find you, Dad."
"It’s been so many years since we last met. You are getting more beautiful."
These words, Mr. Chambers directed at Fiona Ford.
Fiona Ford was momentarily stunned, as were the others, including Finn Chandler herself.
No one would have expected that Mr. Chambers couldn’t even recognize his own daughter!
Even though Finn Chandler had been using the identity of Young Master Chambers to enter and leave The Chambers Family for years, how could Mr. Chambers be so blind?
This only proves that Mr. Chambers never really looked at Finn Chandler.
"Mr. Chambers."
Fiona Ford found this Mr. Chambers quite interesting.
The Chambers Family members, each of them, certainly did not disappoint her.
"I’m not Finn Chandler, I’m Miss Ford."
"This here is your daughter."
Fiona Ford laughed as she introduced Finn Chandler to Mr. Chambers.
Mrs. Chambers chuckled, without the slightest hint of embarrassment.
"So it’s Miss Ford. I was so captivated by the beautiful woman standing here that I couldn’t move my feet."
Mr. Chambers complimented.
His words made Mr. Ford frown.
This, what a bastard of a father-in-law!
As soon as he walked in, not only did he mistake Finn Chandler, but he also flirted with Fiona Ford.
Fiona Ford gave a slight derisive smile, she looked at Finn Chandler, whose expression visibly darkened.
