Things were quickly off track!
Pearl Chambers was subtly defaming Finn Chandler’s background.
"But we were relieved to see how good Mrs. Ford is to you."
Pearl Chambers shifted her tone, turning with a smile to Mrs. Ford.
Mrs. Ford gave Finn Chandler a cold glance and said flatly, "You all chat, I have things to attend to."
With that, Mrs. Ford stood up and walked out of the main hall.
To make it easier for Finn Chandler to talk with her family, Mrs. Ford dismissed the servants.
"Oh, Finn, you can’t be so stubborn anymore!"
"From now on, discuss things with us properly, both your mom and I will agree."
Pearl Chambers continued to sob.
"Exactly." Mrs. Chambers chimed in, "As a mother, I only want my daughter to have a good life."
"Marrying Mr. Ford was absolutely the right choice."
Mrs. Chambers spoke as she sneakily eyed the wealth of the Ford Family.
Nobody expected the Ford Family to be this wealthy, no wonder Finn Chandler gave up The Chambers Corporation to marry Julian Ford.
Initially, it seemed wrong for Finn Chandler to do so, but now she has truly become Mrs. Ford, which benefits them more.
Despite that, Mrs. Chambers still wants both The Chambers Corporation and the Ford Family.
"Everyone’s gone. Is the act over?"
Finn Chandler didn’t want to tear into Mrs. Chambers and Pearl Chambers here.
After days of not visiting The Chambers Corporation and ignoring their calls from Solaria, they were bound to find her in Solaria.
Finn Chandler hadn’t expected them to be more shrewd, coming directly to the Ford Family.
"How did you come here?"
Finn Chandler asked.
"When we couldn’t find you, we went to Mr. Ford."
Pearl Chambers smirked derisively.
With Finn Chandler absent from The Chambers Corporation, its situation isn’t promising.
Mr. Chambers heard the news and brought his mistress to The Chambers Corporation demanding money.
If he knew Finn Chandler was a woman and couldn’t inherit The Chambers Corporation, he’d definitely cause more trouble.
"We have something important to discuss with you this time."
Pearl Chambers paused and said with a smile, "Don’t worry, we’re not here to break you and Julian Ford up."
The Ford Family is so wealthy, both her and Mrs. Chambers changed their minds.
"Finn."
Mrs. Chambers also changed her tone, reaching out to hold Finn Chandler’s hand, "Let’s go outside and talk."
"It’s not convenient to chat here."
Finn Chandler found it awkward to see Mrs. Chambers and Pearl Chambers suddenly acting friendly, she glanced at Mrs. Chambers and pulled her hand out of her hold.
Without speaking, she turned her back and left the Ford Family.
The Ford Family wasn’t suitable for a conversation.
She didn’t want Mrs. Ford witnessing her arguing with Mrs. Chambers and Pearl Chambers.
As they left, Mrs. Ford upstairs coldly watched the three of them walking away, and said quietly to the servants behind her, "Have you cleared her details?"
"Check thoroughly and cautiously, don’t let Julian find out."
Having said this, Mrs. Ford stared blankly after Finn Chandler’s disappearing figure.
She wouldn’t stop Julian Ford from marrying any girl, but if the girl’s character was flawed, she would definitely oppose.
Finn Chandler drove Mrs. Chambers and Pearl Chambers to a hotel suite.
Once the suite door was closed, she couldn’t hold back any longer.
"What do you two want!"
They said they approved of her and Julian Ford’s relationship, which Finn Chandler found laughable.
She didn’t need their approval for her matters.
"Finn."
Mrs. Chambers said with an ingratiating smile, "Why so fierce, your sister and I truly care about you."
"You don’t know, your grandfather has been looking for you these days."
