Chapter 930: Showing Up at the Door
She suddenly remembered that Julian Ford had mentioned he would come to find her.
Recollecting her fight with Julian Ford, Finn Chandler lowered her head apologetically.
"You being here, there’s really no meaning to go over!"
"Yeah, yeah."
Finn Chandler smiled sweetly with pursed lips.
"You don’t like Fiona Ford, you don’t need to pay much attention to her."
Julian Ford added another remark, Finn Chandler looked up at him, slightly furrowing her eyebrows, feeling inexplicably that Fiona Ford had some irrational dislike for her, and Julian Ford seemed to be avoiding her!
There won’t be any melodramatic incidents between these two!
A couple of days later, Mrs. Ford suddenly called Finn Chandler.
Home alone, Finn Chandler received Mrs. Ford’s call, her heart immediately raced, she sprang up from the sofa where she was watching TV, clutching her phone, and nervously greeted, "Mrs. Ford, it’s me!"
"I arranged for a driver to come pick you up, come over for a bit!"
"Okay!"
Finn Chandler responded repeatedly, as she then heard the sound of a car horn downstairs, holding her phone thinking there was no need to call Julian Ford.
Although having met Mrs. Ford just once, Finn Chandler had a good impression of her, further disbelieving Mrs. Ford’s notorious reputation as a "malicious mother-in-law," yet receiving a call from her wanting to meet made her very nervous.
Finn Chandler directly took a car to the main house of The Ford Corporation located outside Solaria.
Inside was so immense, it made Finn Chandler dizzy sitting in the car.
The Chambers Family’s old residence was built by her grandfather, housing many people, like Mr. Chambers, his most beloved mistress and their children, and other aunts and uncles.
With so many people, the old residence was also quite large.
But compared to The Ford Corporation, it was still smaller.
This Ford Family, they must be so wealthy!
Finn Chandler got out of the car, took a deep breath to steady her emotions.
She wondered why Mrs. Ford suddenly wanted to see her! Mrs. Ford was not the type who would bring her over just because she missed her.
Finn Chandler cautiously entered, not yet reaching the living room when she heard familiar voices.
"Really sorry for troubling Mrs. Ford."
"Mrs. Ford, it’s truly a blessing for Finn to become your daughter-in-law!"
It was Mrs. Chambers and Pearl Chambers!
Finn Chandler hurried inside, and seeing the mother and daughter seated on the sofa, was momentarily stunned.
Was it really them?
How did they find The Ford Family and even got Mrs. Ford to call her!
Finn Chandler suddenly felt uncomfortable; the last thing she wanted now was to see Mrs. Chambers and Pearl Chambers.
Even though they revealed her identity, she wasn’t afraid because Julian Ford knew everything.
However, she was still worried Mrs. Ford might dislike her because of this.
"Here you are!"
Mrs. Ford first spotted Finn Chandler standing at the door and spoke bluntly.
Mrs. Chambers and Pearl Chambers simultaneously turned their heads toward Finn Chandler, their expressions instantly twisting into grimaces.
"Finn..."
Mrs. Chambers stood up, preparing to unleash her anger when Pearl Chambers tugged at her, taking over.
"Finn, you’re really here, we were scared to death!"
Pearl Chambers said, her eyes turning red, she approached Finn Chandler, grabbing her hand regardless of her willingness.
"Mom and I couldn’t get in touch with you, we were nearly frantic."
"Why do you keep avoiding Mom and me!"
While speaking, Pearl Chambers’ tears fell, truly looking as though she felt sorry for Finn Chandler.
"Being with Mr. Ford is a good thing. We disagree because the families aren’t well-matched."
"How can a secret love child be worthy of him!"
