Chapter 952: Wanting a Daughter
Finn Chandler didn’t answer, and hung up.
Another one came, and Finn directly blocked Pearl Chambers.
While she was doing all this, Julian Ford was watching her hang up and block the number.
After a while, Julian Ford’s phone rang.
An unfamiliar number, no notes attached.
Julian Ford didn’t know whose it was, answered it, and it was Pearl Chambers’ voice from the other end.
After being unable to contact Finn Chandler, Pearl Chambers decided to stir up trouble between Finn Chandler and Julian Ford.
"Mr. Ford."
"Finn Chandler isn’t as kind as she seems."
"She forced me to change my statement at the police station, she was the one who pushed my mom down the stairs."
Over the phone, Pearl Chambers loudly accused Finn Chandler of her wrongdoings.
Finn Chandler, next to Julian Ford, heard everything clearly.
Finn pretended not to hear, quietly nestled in Julian Ford’s arms, though her heart still felt uneasy.
No matter how cruel Pearl Chambers was, she shouldn’t, yet she didn’t care anymore.
But now the person she cared about most was Julian Ford, the father of her unborn child.
If he believed Pearl Chambers’ words and blamed her for being heartless...
What should she do!
"Anything else to say?"
"If not, I’m hanging up."
After listening to Pearl Chambers’ words, Julian Ford hung up the call.
Pearl Chambers, seeing her words didn’t affect Julian Ford at all, became furious and smashed her phone.
All her efforts were destroyed by Finn Chandler.
After hanging up Pearl Chambers’ call, Julian Ford behaved as usual, standing up and gently asking Finn Chandler, "Feeling hungry?"
"Let’s go down for dinner."
Finn Chandler raised her head looking at this still gentle man, as though she wanted to see something through his deep, beautiful eyes.
Unfortunately, the man was too perfect, and she couldn’t see anything.
So, Finn Chandler confessed everything she did.
"I sent Pearl Chambers’ photos."
"I used those things to force Pearl Chambers to change her statement, to go to the police and say Mrs. Chambers fell by herself."
She gave two options, how could Pearl Chambers choose the first one?
"But, I didn’t push Mrs. Chambers."
"Pearl Chambers did it. I had no evidence in hand and was unwilling to let her get away, so I only warned her this way."
"Hmm!"
After hearing Finn Chandler’s words, Julian Ford’s expression didn’t change. With a smile, he asked, "Hungry?"
Finn Chandler was momentarily dazed, then nodded along with his words, "Hmm!"
"Hungry."
"Let’s eat together."
As he spoke, Julian Ford leaned down to pick Finn Chandler up.
"Julian."
Caught off guard, Finn Chandler cried out in surprise.
"What you did, you don’t need to explain to me."
"Hmm?"
"Finny, filling your tummy is more important, don’t let my daughter go hungry."
Looking at Julian Ford’s face full of tenderness, Finn Chandler’s heart started to beat quickly, she softened her voice, "What daughter!"
"It’s obviously a son."
Growing up in the Chambers Family, Finn Chandler hoped for a son in her belly.
In a family like the Ford Family, a son was definitely needed.
"Either is fine."
Julian Ford followed along with Finn Chandler’s words.
To him, whether a daughter or son wasn’t as important, as long as Finn Chandler gave birth.
However, Julian Ford actually hadn’t told Finn Chandler one thing.
While she was dealing with business matters, he had obtained surveillance footage.
The video clearly captured Pearl Chambers pushing Mrs. Chambers down the stairs and he was waiting to intervene if Finn Chandler couldn’t handle it.
