Chapter 935: Dream On
The rest of the message was much the same, it started with a tirade against Finn Chandler, the only difference was Pearl Chambers ended with a single line.
"This is the last chance, since you refuse to treat us well, we won’t bother anymore."
The last chance?
Won’t bother anymore?
This was telling Finn Chandler that they were going to make a move!
This part of Solaria was the Ford Family’s territory, how could two outsiders make a move!
Serena Sullivan wondered, puzzled, as she deleted the message.
After deleting it, she handed the phone back to Finn Chandler, "Be careful of them!"
"Mm-hmm."
Finn Chandler nodded, lowering her head to look at her protruding belly, gently stroking it with her hand.
Her belly was much bigger than it had been a short while ago, before long, it would be time.
"They have no support here, they can’t do anything to me!"
Because of being in Solaria and by Julian Ford’s side, Finn Chandler felt very at ease.
After Finn Chandler and Serena Sullivan finished shopping, they left the baby store and walked a distance when urgent footsteps came from behind.
The store clerk from the baby store rushed up, apologetically saying to Serena Sullivan, "I’m sorry, Miss, we made a mistake with the pricing of your purchase earlier; could I trouble you to come back and verify it?"
Serena Sullivan looked at the bags in her hand, then turned to Finn Chandler.
Finn Chandler, feeling a bit tired from walking, noticed a nearby bench and said to Serena Sullivan, "You go ahead, I’ll rest here for a while."
"Okay!"
Serena Sullivan followed the store clerk back, leaving Finn Chandler alone on the bench.
As soon as she sat down, her belly seemed even more prominent, making Finn Chandler unable to resist reaching out to touch it.
What would her child look like when it was born?
It would be great if the child looked like Julian Ford, whether a boy or a girl!
She smiled at the thought, when the sharp sound of high heels approached, and just as Finn Chandler lifted her head, she saw a hand swiftly extend, trying to slap her across the cheek.
"Shameless thing!"
Finn Chandler caught Mrs. Chambers’s hand and forcefully shoved it away.
She stood up, puzzled as to why Mrs. Chambers was here!
"Mom."
Pearl Chambers’s voice followed, and seeing them appear, Finn Chandler instinctively shielded her abdomen with her hands.
"Why are you here?"
What a coincidence, to run into Pearl Chambers and Mrs. Chambers at the same mall.
Finn Chandler looked around the mall and noticed there were hardly any people, not even store clerks in sight.
Suddenly, she felt uneasy.
"If we hadn’t come here, we wouldn’t have known you were pregnant."
"I wondered why Julian Ford would marry you, turns out you climbed the ladder with a borrowed seed."
"Finn Chandler, what bad luck I’ve had to give birth to you, such a thing!" When someone told her Finn Chandler was pregnant, she didn’t believe it.
Seeing Finn Chandler on the bench holding her swollen belly, Mrs. Chambers realized why Finn Chandler could marry Julian Ford.
"Now, let’s go to the Ford Family together!"
Switching the subject, Mrs. Chambers reached out to grab Finn Chandler.
"I’m not going."
Finn Chandler broke free.
She had never mentioned her pregnancy to Mrs. Chambers.
At first, she was afraid Mrs. Chambers might take action against the child to break off her and Julian Ford, now she’s afraid Mrs. Chambers would use the child to demand an extravagant bride price from the Ford Family.
"Once you’re pregnant, your grandfather will find out sooner or later."
"It’s impossible for him to give The Chambers Corporation back to you."
"Either have the child aborted, or let us demand money from the Ford Family for you."
Before, Mrs. Chambers was pondering how to demand money!
Knowing Finn Chandler was pregnant, she understood what to do.
