Chapter 904: You’re Talking Nonsense
At the end of the conversation, Claire Sullivan was icy cold all over as she listened beside them; she stared at Serena Sullivan, wanting to ask something but couldn’t find the words.
And Wendy Monroe was the same in the visiting room, sitting there in a daze.
It wasn’t until Serena finished speaking and started to leave that Wendy reacted.
"Serena, these are all your guesses, you’re spouting nonsense!"
She shouted, as Serena walked further away from the sound of her voice.
"Everything Serena said is true!"
Claire Sullivan believes her daughter, even if it’s just a guess, she trusts it.
She turned around, looking at Wendy angrily and disappointedly.
"You believe such speculation."
Wendy looked at the incoming Claire Sullivan and denied it.
The events of those years were nothing like Serena said; Serena was lying.
It was really all her doing.
"I believe it."
Standing beside Wendy, Claire Sullivan didn’t care that this was a police station, and with a raised hand, she slapped her hard.
The slap was fierce and swift, Wendy had no time to react, and when she felt her cheek hurt, she came to her senses as Claire Sullivan turned and quickly left.
"It’s not like that."
Wendy cried, her eyes tearing as she tried to chase after her, but was grabbed by someone in the police station.
Listening to the retreating footsteps, Wendy knew she had caused trouble today.
She sat down in a daze, and was soon taken back to the detention area.
The things from twenty years ago were really too far gone, so much so that she even forgot how she became friends with Claire Sullivan!
No, in the beginning, she knew she and Claire Sullivan were people from two different worlds.
She was indifferent and distant to everyone else, creating distance between them.
Until Felix Lockwood came to the dormitory looking for Claire Sullivan, with just a glance, she was captivated.
