Chapter 933: This Is Madness
Finn Chandler was almost moved by these words.
Her mother and sister had traveled all the way from the Imperial Capital, wholeheartedly thinking of her.
"Finn."
Seeing Finn smile after hearing their words, Mrs. Chambers’ voice turned cheerful.
"We are all your closest relations, all thinking for your good."
Finn had heard plenty of similar words.
Dressing her as a man to please the Old Master was for her good;
Breaking up with Julian Ford and marrying a woman was for her good;
Giving Pearl Chambers the Chambers Corporation shares she held was also for her good!
"Don’t even think about the Chambers Corporation shares."
Finn dropped her smile and directly told them.
"I’ll tell Grandpa my identity myself."
As soon as she finished speaking, the previously smiling Mrs. Chambers couldn’t contain herself and shouted, "You’re crazy!"
"Finn, you’re going to kill your mother!"
Pearl Chambers couldn’t hold back either.
Unless it’s absolutely necessary, Finn being a woman must not be known by the Old Master Chambers.
The Old Master is ruthless; if he found out Mrs. Chambers had kept it from him, nobody knew what he’d do to her.
"Finn Chandler, you’ve latched onto the Ford Family and don’t care about my life or death anymore."
"If you dare do this, don’t expect to marry into the Ford Family!"
Mrs. Chambers gritted her teeth and said with hatred, an extremely unpleasant feeling when you find someone intolerably disagreeable but are helpless to do anything about it.
"Who’s not supposed to marry into the Ford Family!"
Just as they were about to continue scolding, the door to the private room was pushed open, and Julian Ford walked in directly.
He saw Finn was there and walked straight in.
Mrs. Ford had called him, saying Mrs. Chambers was here. Julian guessed their purpose for coming, knowing Finn was at the hotel, and came straight to find her.
"Mr. Ford!"
Julian’s sudden appearance changed Mrs. Chambers and Pearl’s expressions, and Pearl quickly tidied her hair, regretting not wearing a brighter, more alluring dress today.
"Mr. Ford, it’s been a while."
Pearl walked up, smiling, and greeted Julian Ford.
"Mr. Ford, since you returned to Solaria, Pearl has been thinking of you. Finally seeing you today."
Mrs. Chambers added on behalf of Pearl right in front of Finn.
Seeing their true colors, Finn felt cold inside as she watched them fawn over Julian Ford.
She felt even more that she was too far from Julian Ford, unworthy of him!
"Mrs. Chambers, Finn is already my wife."
Julian Ford didn’t spare Pearl a glance; he reached out and held Finn’s hand.
"Our wedding will soon be held at the Ford Family."
"You’re welcome to attend, but if you’re here for anything else, please leave!"
Though Julian’s voice sounded mild, his tone was cool, not to mention the icy gaze he directed at Mrs. Chambers and Pearl.
"Of course, we’ve come to attend your wedding with Finn."
"It’s really unexpected that Finn can marry you; it’s her blessing."
At this point, Mrs. Chambers had no choice but to accept it.
"It’s just that Finn’s identity is somewhat special, and her grandfather doesn’t know yet."
"We’re worried that once he finds out, it might be detrimental to Finn."
Mrs. Chambers was wise enough not to mention in front of Julian Ford that they wanted the shares Finn held.
"I’ll handle this."
Julian Ford said coolly, "If there’s nothing else, we’ll be leaving now."
It was pointless talking to Mrs. Chambers and Pearl, Julian said, and left with Finn.
Mrs. Chambers and Pearl watched them leave, and seeing how unsettled the conversation was today, she was furious, cursing Finn as heartless and ungrateful.
They had hoped that after Finn married Julian Ford, better benefits would come.
Now it seemed Finn had Julian Ford and kicked them aside.
"Pearl, what do we do next?"
Mrs. Chambers trusted Pearl the most.
Pearl smirked coldly, curling her lips, "What can we do! It might just end in ruin, and nobody will have it easy!"
If they don’t receive benefits, Finn won’t have peace.
Mrs. Chambers nodded in agreement, the two pondering their next move, when the room’s door was pushed open again, and a woman entered, smiling at them, "Perhaps I can help you!"
