She truly felt wronged. She and Miles Morgan were genuinely in love. Mrs. Monroe knew Miles didn’t love her, yet she wouldn’t step back graciously, insisting on making everyone unhappy.
"Yara, you’ll sleep in my room tonight."
Ivy Preston said as she looked at Miles Morgan.
"Miles, what do you think?"
When she and Riley Preston moved into The Monroe Residence, Miles had arranged for the servants to prepare two guest rooms for them.
Now Riley Preston’s room was uninhabitable. Ivy decided to give her own room to Riley, which meant she would naturally move into the master bedroom.
"Okay!"
Miles nodded in agreement, needing no more consideration for Mrs. Monroe and Anna.
"Sir."
A servant hurriedly came down from the upstairs room and said, "The eldest Miss has trashed Miss Preston’s room as well."
The bed was drenched, making it impossible to sleep.
"What!" Riley Preston became anxious, "Then where will I sleep tonight?"
Oh, there’s also Anna’s room.
"All the rooms on the second floor have been trashed by the eldest Miss. There’s nowhere to sleep tonight!"
When Anna did something, she certainly wouldn’t leave any room for Ivy or Riley Preston.
She wanted to trash everything, so she’d ruin all the good rooms upstairs at The Monroe Residence, soaking all the beds and clothes in the closets with water!
Let’s see how they’ll sleep tonight!
"Miles!"
Now, even Ivy was getting anxious.
Wouldn’t this force her to stay in a hotel for the night?
"Alright!" Miles suppressed his anger, managing not to lose his composure.
He initially thought intimidating Mrs. Monroe and divorcing her would be easy, but it seems they had someone supporting them.
The Grant Family or The Ford Family?
These two families even worry about others’ family affairs!
He needed to visit The Lockwood Family to find Carter Lockwood and discuss a collaboration to suppress The Ford and Grant families.
Anna and Mrs. Monroe left The Monroe Residence and had a brief exchange with Counselor Zimmerman.
Counselor Zimmerman suggested that Mrs. Monroe and her party arrange another meeting to discuss many details thoroughly. Today was just to intimidate Miles, but Miles, having reached his current status, was not a simple character.
"Counselor Zimmerman, thank you."
Mrs. Monroe said politely, smiling as she added, "Please convey my thanks to Mr. Grant and Mr. Ford."
It was certain someone else requested Counselor Zimmerman’s involvement.
Miles wouldn’t have been able to invite Counselor Zimmerman, so it must have been The Grant or The Ford families.
"Uh?" Counselor Zimmerman was momentarily stunned.
It wasn’t Ethan Grant and Julian Ford who brought him here.
Could Carter Lockwood have been doing a good deed anonymously?
Counselor Zimmerman didn’t clarify, but he smiled at Anna.
He could guess she had a good relationship with Carter Lockwood to invite such a top lawyer, maybe he even knew about her dealing with Carter.
Seeing Counselor Zimmerman’s smile, she blushed, "Thank you, Counselor Zimmerman, goodbye."
After Counselor Zimmerman left, Mrs. Monroe and Anna got into the car.
This trip to The Monroe Residence placed most of the weight off Mrs. Monroe and Anna’s minds.
"You didn’t make a mistake with these two friends."
Mrs. Monroe brought up Counselor Zimmerman again.
"Mom," Anna explained, "it wasn’t Serena Sullivan and Finn Chandler helping me."
"Serena is in the Imperial Capital awaiting the baby, and Ethan is with her there, they can’t manage the issues here."
"Finn doesn’t know Counselor Zimmerman either."
"That’s true," Mrs. Monroe thought for a moment, "Even though Serena and Finn have a good relationship with you, this divorce matter is ultimately family-related and not easy for them to intervene in."
"Anna, who is it that you know?"
Anna did have quite a few friends, but her closest were Finn and Serena.
If not them, who else would take the risk of offending Miles to help?
Seeing Anna lower her head, Mrs. Monroe suddenly thought of something and asked, shocked, "Anna, you wouldn’t have offered yourself in exchange for something, would you?"
"I will handle my affairs myself, Mom. Please don’t do anything foolish.
