Chapter 450: One Problem After Another
Due to the blind spot issue, Cecilia couldn’t dodge in time and only managed to lean slightly to the side, causing Chloe’s cappuccino to splash directly onto her skirt.
Luckily, the coffee had cooled down long ago, otherwise it might have burnt her.
Cecilia’s expression suddenly turned cold, her gaze chillingly fixed on the woman in front of her.
"Chloe Alden, are you out of your mind? If you’re sick, go get your brain treated at the hospital. What’s the point of coming out in the middle of the night to scare people?"
Chloe had always been pampered like a princess, and besides Cecilia, no one dared to mock her like this.
"Shut up! You shameless woman, who are you to say my brain has issues?"
In her fury, Chloe raised her hand, intending to slap Cecilia.
Cecilia was already on guard, and with a cold smile, she quickly grabbed Chloe’s arm.
Then, with a swift motion, she hurled Chloe backward, shockingly executing a shoulder throw onto the deck!
...
With a loud bang, Chloe’s body hit the ground, creating a resounding crash.
"How dare you do this to me? I’ll make my dad come back and arrest you!"
"I bet Radiant Group has never evaded taxes!"
Chloe rubbed her sore hip painfully, screeching in disbelief at Cecilia, wishing she could skin Cecilia alive on the spot.
...
Looking down at Chloe from above, Cecilia bent down and grabbed Chloe’s collar.
"Tell your dad? Ha—"
Hearing Chloe threaten to use her father to investigate Radiant Group’s accounts, Cecilia’s lips curled into a sardonic smile.
"Eldest Miss Alden, you’ve finally shown some cleverness for once. But alas, I walk the straight path, and my company’s clean, even if you find any dirty accounts, I bet it’s from Fiona and Gregory, that useless father-daughter duo."
"Of course, I don’t mind you investigating at all. The more thoroughly you check, the better. Then I’ll see who ends up in jail."
Chloe’s face instantly froze.
She never imagined Cecilia would be so resolute.
Normally, private business owners fear public audits, right?
Could it be that Cecilia is truly as transparent as she claims?
Chloe bit her lip, suddenly afraid Radiant Group is exactly as Cecilia says, that even if there are any impurities, it’s all remnants from Fiona and Gregory.
If anything suspicious turns up, it would only harm her friend.
...
Chloe Alden is malicious and arrogant, but she’s always upheld her loyalty to Fiona. She angrily raised her head, her eyes cold as a knife, hurling insults at Cecilia.
"What are you proud of, Cecilia! Don’t think just because you snatched Radiant Group from Fiona and Uncle Vaughn that you’re anything but a shameless hussy!"
"You’re fickle, unfaithful—marrying The Eldest Young Master Law and still seducing Tyson, humiliating Fiona greatly, and flirting with our school’s heartthrob, Sean! How shameless can you be! Fiona’s carrying Tyson’s child, how dare you force them to divorce?"
Cecilia tugged at Chloe’s hair, forcing her to step forward in pain and scream.
"Ahhh, you shameless bitch, let go, stop pulling my hair..."
"Know it hurts now?"
Cecilia squatted down coldly, her eyes staring directly into Chloe’s face.
"Chloe Alden, I warn you, don’t randomly throw dirt on me. You think everyone’s interested in cow dung? I’d rather see Fiona and Tyson, that scummy pair, stay together forever."
"You dare to call Tyson cow dung..."
Chloe was incredulous, eyes wide in shock and pain, feeling the tug on her hair was driving her insane.
"Bah, Cecilia, you’re just sour grapes! I’ll tell you, Tyson saw through your nature, that’s why he abandoned you for Fiona! Who told you to be so libertine in high school, flirting with the class president?"
Bringing up the old stories from Stellerton First High, Chloe recalled the class president’s handsome face, indifferent to her, making her clench her fists, her gaze at Cecilia growing more hateful.
"Back then, driven by jealousy, you sent my bar photos to the class president’s panel, now you’re pulling old tricks, sending photos of Fiona and my uncle together to Tyson! You despicable person can’t stand others doing well!"
...
Seeing Chloe getting more absurd, Cecilia laughed, but the discordance was in the cold sparkle in her eyes, her expression icily indifferent.
"Chloe Alden, should I pity your stupidity, or should I pity your stupidity?"
"What do you mean?"
Chloe’s anger was uncontrollable, wanting to slap Cecilia again.
Cecilia didn’t even care about her antics, simply took hold of Chloe’s hair and pressed her onto the yacht rail.
"I advise you, whether you’re bad or dumb, stop bothering me!"
Chloe’s scalp tightened painfully, wanting to retreat but behind her was the sea, no way to back up. She was half-suspended above the ocean, clutching the rail fearfully, terrified of falling.
"Argh, Cecilia Vaughn, if you dare do this to me, you’ll regret it! Let me go——"
The yacht rail wasn’t high, just about waist level for an adult woman.
If Cecilia really wanted Chloe dead, a push forward could easily throw Chloe into the sea.
...
"Stop pulling me, Cecilia, I was wrong, let me go!"
The fear of hanging by a thread gripped Chloe’s heart, this bullying, vicious princess no longer dared act out, only able to whimper in terror and beg.
Cecilia saw Chloe almost wetting herself and raised an eyebrow slightly.
"Afraid now?"
"Yes! Yes!"
Chloe nodded frantically, her cries louder than before.
...
To a bully like Chloe, Cecilia found it laughable and pitiful, she flicked her hand, releasing Chloe, tossing her onto the deck.
Chloe was already so frightened, she’d lost her senses, even though Cecilia released her, she was rigid on the deck.
Looking down at her, Cecilia’s voice was cold.
"Don’t mess with me again."
"Moreover, if I didn’t do it, then I didn’t do it. It’s been said that it was Fiona who showed your bar antics to the class president, if you don’t believe it, that’s your problem."
Leaving these words, Cecilia was about to turn and leave, when she suddenly saw a female server with a tray not far away.
The side profile seemed vaguely familiar.
It looked like Katherine North, who had dropped out from Stellerton University...
