Chapter 406: Cecilia Vaughn, You’ve Already Lost
Chloe Alden narrowed her eyes like a venomous snake, full of malice.
"Cecilia Vaughn, let’s make a bet! Whoever loses has to slap herself ten times in front of everyone, and shout in English to those foreigners: ’I’m a bitch!’"
Cecilia Vaughn’s pupils contracted slightly at Chloe’s shocking words.
—She’d really underestimated Chloe’s toxic mind. What kind of hatred makes someone come up with such a nasty bet!
Mona Summers couldn’t help but spit out her drink.
She angrily grabbed Cecilia’s wrist.
"Cecilia, don’t stoop to Chloe Alden’s level. This is so shameless! If we lose, isn’t that throwing away all our dignity?"
Mona sincerely felt there was no need to get pissed off with someone as petty as Chloe.
Mainly because Mona wasn’t confident that she and Cecilia could win against Fiona Vaughn’s team in getting guys’ contact info within five minutes.
Instead of gambling with less than a fifty percent chance, it was better to shut down Chloe’s vile plans directly.
...
Chloe saw Mona trying to talk Cecilia out of it, and felt even surer of victory. She lifted her chin arrogantly, almost looking down at Cecilia and Mona through her nostrils.
"Oh wow, Cecilia, weren’t you just acting like some queen earlier? And now you know to team up with Mona to sneak away?"
"It’s just a bet! Isn’t this the perfect time to prove if you and Mona have any feminine charm? Don’t tell me you both lack even this much guts to gamble?"
Mona was pissed by Chloe’s shoddy taunting.
"Chloe, we don’t need to prove our appeal by your ridiculous standards! Sorry, but we’re both married, we don’t need your nonsense!"
Chloe scoffed coldly.
"Tch, blabbering so much—scaredy cats, the both of you! Cecilia, don’t tell me you’re too chicken to do it?"
Cecilia knew Chloe was just trying to provoke her, but that didn’t bother her. She’d just scanned the group of twenty-plus foreigners outside and started to make a mental calculation.
"I’ll bet with you. Satisfied?"
Chloe saw her icy-cool expression and had thought Cecilia would refuse, but when she heard her agree, she almost thought she misheard.
She was ecstatic!
"Great, Cecilia Vaughn, once you say it, you can’t take it back! No backsies!"
"As if you’re a ’gentleman’!"
Mona anxiously pulled at Cecilia’s hand.
"Cecilia, are you sure you want to gamble with them? If we lose, then what? Are you really going to slap yourself and yell that... in front of all those foreigners?"
The rest of those dirty words Mona couldn’t even say aloud. Just picturing the scene in her mind gave her goosebumps and made her shudder with dread...
Cecilia squeezed Mona’s hand in reassurance, their fingers tightly entwined.
"Mona, don’t worry. Even if we lose, I’ll take all the consequences. I’m the one betting with Chloe, not you."
"Cecilia, don’t say that! I’m worried about you..."
Mona had always been fearless, but seeing her good friend about to be bullied, she looked more than a little flustered.
Cecilia smiled lightly, looking completely unruffled.
"Mona, just trust me. We won’t lose."
Mona froze for a second, not really catching Cecilia’s meaning.
Meanwhile, Chloe saw how confident Cecilia looked and couldn’t help but size her up with amusement.
"Cecilia, since you’re dreaming so wildly, I’ll grant your wish!"
As she spoke, Chloe’s face suddenly twisted, turning vicious.
"Today, I’ll make you shout you’re a whore for everyone to hear!"
Cecilia heard Chloe’s nasty words and remained unfazed.
"Whether wild dreams or a confident plan—we’ll see soon enough, Miss Alden."
...
Hearing Chloe and Cecilia make a bet, quite a few people pricked up their ears.
"Damn, did I hear that right? Mayor Alden’s daughter really knows how to party!"
"Tsk, tsk, I really wanna see how this ends!"
Chloe found the café owner to be the timer; the match would begin in a few minutes, giving everyone time to get ready.
Cecilia hadn’t moved yet, when Chloe tossed her thick cashmere coat onto her chair.
—Well damn, she’s actually wearing a blazing-hot club outfit underneath.
Chloe Alden’s character sucked, but her looks and figure were definitely eye-catching.
—Without the coat, Chloe’s deep cleavage gleamed, just barely covered by her tiny skirt that put her long legs on full display and left her navel exposed.
Fiona Vaughn was clearly ambitious too.
She’d been waiting to see Cecilia embarrassed; now with such a perfect chance, Fiona touched up her makeup and shot Cecilia a provocative look.
"Sis, if you lose later, if you beg me, maybe I’ll persuade Chloe to go easy."
Cecilia raised an eyebrow at Fiona’s blind confidence.
"No need—let’s compete on skill."
Fiona had expected Cecilia to be stubborn; that’s exactly what she’d hoped for, to block off any path for Cecilia to beg for mercy. She wanted Cecilia to lose and totally disgrace herself!
No wonder Fiona was so confident; she was a goddess for otaku guys, with male fans all over the world. Who here could flirt better than her?
With Chloe playing the sultry temptress, Fiona went for an opposite style: her watery eyes were veiled in mist, and whether it was just pregnancy or something else, her skin looked even more delicate—giving her a soft beauty that was easy to pity.
Though this amusement park had only just opened, it was already popular among the rich kids; the café was crowded, and with Cecilia Vaughn, Fiona Vaughn, and Chloe Alden all local celebrities in Stellerton, the crowd watching grew bigger and bigger.
"I’m betting on Mayor Alden’s side—men are men, and Miss Alden’s seriously got major sex appeal! That body’s got curves where it counts—amazing!"
"Exactly! And Miss Fiona is like a fairy—one hot, one pure, what a combo. Meanwhile, the Eldest Miss Vaughn’s team are beauties, sure, but they’re too fierce, no femininity at all."
Among all the excited spectators, the café owner pressed the timer.
"Start the match!"
Chloe was the first to sashay her snakelike hips, running up to that group of foreign guys!
Outside, it was freezing cold, but Chloe’s blazing nightclub look got some foreigners whistling!
"Hot stuff, for real!"
Chloe, praised for her killer body, turned to shoot Cecilia a smug look.
A gaze that made everything clear.
—You’re doomed to lose!
