Chapter 131: Upper Tier Level Five Beast
The second day of the students in Restricted Area.
Within few minutes of them inside. Team 3 encountered their first major challenge of the day.
A pack of eight Level 4 Razor Fang Tigers came out from the mist. They surrounded Team 3 in a tight circle.
These beasts were over eighteen feet long. Their black fur had glowing red stripes. And their four big fangs were dripping with paralyzing poison.
"Eight Level 4 beasts." Ophelia called out. She slammed her foot into the rocky ground right away.
A thick, five foot high wall of solid earth shot up behind them. It protected Lira and Ava from a back attack. "This pack is working together."
"Kira, cover the left." Ava ordered. Her deep blue uniform moved as bright blue lightning moved around her arms like snakes. "Lira, clear the mist with wind."
"On it." Lira shouted. She moved her hands in a big circle. She released a big wind that blew away the fog. Now all eight tigers were clear to see.
Kira pushed both hands forward. She fired three fireballs. They hit the lead tiger’s chest. It flew back with burnt fur and loud pain.
Ava ran forward with fast speed. She used her Storm Monarch footwork. She turned into a blue blur and appeared above one of the tigers.
She slammed her electric hand on the beast’s head. She released a strong lightning that killed its nerves at once.
BOOM!
The tiger fell to the dirt. It was dead before its body touched the ground.
When they saw their pack mate fall, three Razor Fang Tigers jumped at the same time toward Kira and Ophelia. Their mouths were wide open.
Ophelia used her Gaia’s Aegis Blessing. She raised two big stone pillars. They caught two of the charging beasts in the air. They pinned them to the cliff face.
Kira released a long stream of red fire. It covered the third tiger completely. It burnt its thick skin to black ash in seconds.
Meanwhile, on the right side, two tigers tried to pass the stone wall to get to Lira. Before they could reach her, Lynx stepped in their way.
Lynx just raised his right hand and made a fist. As the two eighteen foot tigers jumped toward him, Lynx pushed his fist forward into the air.
BANG!
A wave of strong air pressure came out from his knuckles. The strong force hit both Level 4 tigers in the air. It broke their ribs and threw their bodies sixty feet back into the stone walls. The two beasts hit the rock. They died at once.
The remaining two tigers looked at Lynx. Then at the burnt remains of their pack. Fear took over them.
They made a small sound, turned, and tried to run back into the mist.
"Oh no you don’t." Lira laughed. She moved her arms forward. She sent two big, sharp wind blades. They cut through the running tigers’ back legs. They fell to the stone path. Ava quickly finished them with lightning hits.
In less than two minutes, a whole pack of eight Level 4 Razor Fang Tigers were all killed.
A bright cloud of monster essence rose from the eight bodies. It split and entered Ava, Kira, Lira, and Ophelia.
Ophelia closed her eyes. She let out a soft breath as her mana core felt new strength.
"The essence from these beasts is amazing. Especially as we go deeper and kill more strong level 4 beast... I can feel my mana growing already."
Ava smiled, wiping a small sweat from her forehead. "We are really getting stronger."
Lynx walked over. He lightly tapped Ophelia’s head with his knuckle. "Good work with that stone wall. Your reaction speed is getting faster."
Ophelia looked up at him. Her rose pink eyes were bright with pride. "I told you I was the top Year 3 earth user."
"Keep it up, Goddess Leah," Lynx teased with a wink. This made Ophelia blush hard while Ava and Lira laughed beside them.
For the next three hours, Team 3 cleared the area. They hunted packs of Level 4 stone golems, poison spitting drakes, and giant frost spiders. Different types of strong level 4 beasts.
Their team work reached its highest point. They worked like a perfect, deadly war machine. Lynx was their final shield.

By 03:30 PM, Team 3 was resting in a wide, sunny stone ridge. A gentle wind moved through the trees. It brought a fresh, cool mountain smell.
Ava, Kira, and Lira were sitting on a big flat rock. Ophelia made it. They were talking about how they think the Grand/Supreme Blessed Tournament will go.
Ophelia sat nearby just looking at Lynx. She could also feel her understanding of her Affinity growing the more she used it to Kill. This made it stronger.
While Lynx stood at the edge of the ridge his team were. His two different colored eyes looked out over the endless green trees below.
Suddenly, Lynx’s ears moved.
Through his strong senses, he heard the fast sound of heavy footsteps running through the woods below their ridge.
Lynx used his Primordial Vision. He looked through the thick trees.
Half a mile down the mountain path, Julian Frostborne, Kol Mikel, Mars, James, and Peter Musk were running like crazy. Kol held what looked like an... Egg? A glowing black small thing with an egg inside.
As Lynx watched, Kol threw the glowing black small thing deep into the bushes. It was barely 50 yards where Lynx and his team were resting.
"LETS TRY TO KILL THIS BEAS... NO RUNN!" Kol screamed to his team. They picked up pace and left the area.
Lynx raised an eyebrow at the brilliant performance Julian’s team were putting on, they couldn’t fool him. A cold, dark smile formed on his face. "Unbelievable... those useless idiots actually tried it."
Before Lynx could say more, the whole mountain ridge shook hard.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Trees broke like dry sticks as a huge creature broke through the forest below.
It was a huge monster. A Level 5 Queen Acid Drake. Over forty feet long. Covered in thick, dark green scales.
With two big leathery wings and a long, spiked tail. Its big mouth was dripping with bubbling, bright green acid. The acid melted the ground where it touched.

The Queen Drake let out a loud roar. Its yellow eyes looked at the glowing tiny black thing in the bushes below Lynx’s ridge. It smelled it and thought its egg was taken. It went into full rage.
"WHAT IS THAT?" Kira screamed. She jumped off the rock as the big forty foot drake appeared right under their ridge.
Ophelia’s face went white. Her stone toys broke in her hands. "A... a Queen Acid Drake? From what I know that’s a upper Level 5 monster. What’s it’s doing in this Area? We aren’t that deep in this Forest.
Ava’s eyes opened wide in fear as she saw the green acid gas coming from the monster. "The acid gas is coming toward us."
The Queen Acid Drake crushed the glowing black thing under its big claw. But when it saw there was no egg inside, its angry yellow eyes looked up. They locked directly on Team 3 standing on the cliff ridge above.
ROAAAAR!
The Queen Drake opened its big mouth. It gathered a huge ball of boiling, bright green acid in its throat.
It aimed directly at the cliff where Ava, Kira, Lira, and Ophelia were standing. It wanted to melt the whole stone ridge.
"LYNX!." Ophelia screamed. She tried hard to make a thick stone wall.
"Stay back," Lynx’s deep, calm voice cut through the fear.
Lynx stepped right to the edge of the cliff. He stood between his team and the big Boss monster.
His two different colored eyes shinned brightly. His huge power moved through his body like a volcano waking up.
The Queen Acid Drake released its attack. A huge, twenty foot wide stream of boiling, green acid shot from its mouth. It went up toward the cliff like a waterfall of death.
Lynx raised his bare right hand. His palm facing down.
"Burn," Lynx said quietly.
BOOOOOOM!
A huge, bright pillar of pure, golden white devastating Flame came out from Lynx’s body. It covered the whole mountain ridge.
The heat was so strong that the green acid turned to nothing before it got within thirty feet of the cliff . The air around the ridge shook from the heat.
The golden white fire shot down like a spear from heaven. It hit the forty foot Queen Acid Drake right in its chest.
"SKREEEEEEGH!"
The Upper Tier Level 5 monster screamed in pain. Its thick, hard green scales melted like butter from the heat of Lynx’s hotter flame.
Its big wings turned to ash in one second. Its dark skin turned to burning pieces.
