My Blood Legacy: Bloodlines

Chapter 203: The Divine Blood Body Refinement Method

Rakshasa crossed her arms in front of Victor and examined him from head to toe, paying close attention to the miserable condition he was still in. Although he had recovered part of his energy after Carmilla and Scarlet nearly drained him to death, there was a clear difference between being alive and being in good condition. His muscles responded, his regeneration continued working, and the vampiric energy inside him had already begun circulating again, but his body remained overloaded. For any other vampire, this would have been a time to rest. For Victor, it was merely another reason to train.

"First, I am going to teach you the techniques," Rakshasa said. "Then you are coming with me to my castle, and you are going to fuck me until I pass out."

Victor stared at her for several seconds.

Rakshasa raised an eyebrow.

"Is there a problem?"

"No."

"Then why are you making that face?"

"I am trying to decide which part sounds more dangerous."

Her smile immediately widened.

"The second."

"I thought so."

"Do not be so confident, sweetie. If you reach my castle without enough energy to fulfill your part, I will consider it a personal offense."

Victor released a short breath through his nose.

"You want to teach me a body refinement technique and then intend to test the result."

"Exactly." Rakshasa approached, placed one finger against his chest, and pushed him backward. "Now sit on the ground."

Victor looked around the training area. The floor was made of reinforced dark stone, covered in old strike marks and small cracks that had not yet been repaired. He sat without arguing, crossed his legs, and assumed the lotus position.

Rakshasa walked around him, examining his posture.

"Straighten your spine."

Victor corrected it.

"Relax your shoulders."

He obeyed.

"Stop contracting your abdomen."

"I am sitting in front of a woman who announced that she intends to drag me to a castle after this. It is difficult to relax."

Rakshasa slapped the back of his head.

"Focus."

Victor kept his face neutral, although the blow had been strong enough to break the neck of an ordinary vampire.

Rakshasa sat behind him, also in the lotus position, and placed her hands between his shoulder blades. Her energy came into contact with his body in a controlled manner. Unlike the crushing pressure she normally carried, Rakshasa’s presence now felt extremely thin, moving over Victor’s skin like dozens of threads searching for specific paths.

"The Divine Blood Body Refinement Method does not begin with the muscles," she explained. "That is the mistake idiots make. They want strength, so they pour energy into their arms, legs, and bones. They become large, fast, and apparently resistant until someone strikes their liver, ruptures their heart, or blows apart their lungs from the inside."

Victor closed his eyes.

Rakshasa’s energy traveled along his spine, followed his ribs, and reached the center of his chest.

"Blood is the foundation. It carries energy to every part of the body, nourishes the organs, transports vampiric essence, and keeps regeneration functioning. If you refine only the flesh, you create armor around a fragile interior. If you refine the blood first, the entire body improves together."

"It sounds simple."

"It is simple to understand. Surviving it is the difficult part."

Victor opened one eye.

Rakshasa smiled behind him.

"Do not worry. If you begin to die, I will stop."

"That was not reassuring."

"It was not supposed to be."

She removed one hand from his back. One nail lengthened, acquiring a deep red glow, and Rakshasa passed its tip across the skin just below his left shoulder. The cut was precise and thin.

Victor felt no pain.

He perceived his skin opening and felt the cold air touch the flesh, but his nerves sent no painful reaction.

"What did you do?"

"I temporarily interrupted the nerves in that area. If you feel pain during the first injection, your body will react instinctively and try to expel my blood."

Rakshasa brought her palm close to the wound.

A dark drop appeared on the tip of her finger.

It did not resemble ordinary blood. The substance was thick, almost black, but contained red and golden reflections within it. Even in such a small quantity, the energy it carried was absurd. The air around the drop became heavier, and Victor’s blood reacted inside his veins before contact even occurred.

Rakshasa pressed her finger against the cut.

The drop entered.

Victor felt it immediately.

Her blood advanced through his back like liquid metal, crossing blood vessels, muscles, and energy channels. Its initial intent was clearly dominant. Rakshasa’s blood entered prepared to crush, occupy space, and force his body to adapt under pressure.

But the expected reaction did not happen.

Victor’s blood did not try to expel it.

Nor was it destroyed.

It moved.

The vampiric cells around the drop altered their flow, surrounded Rakshasa’s blood, and began accompanying it, as though they had recognized an unknown energy and immediately sought to understand its structure. Within seconds, the drop stopped moving alone. Victor’s blood coiled around it, absorbing small characteristics without consuming it completely.

Rakshasa pulled her hand away from his back.

"What is this?"

Victor kept his eyes closed.

"What?"

"Your blood."

Her voice had lost some of its teasing tone.

Rakshasa placed two fingers over the wound and followed the reaction from inside. The longer she observed, the more serious her expression became.

"It is embracing mine."

Victor frowned slightly.

"Embracing?"

"It is not resisting. It is studying." She pressed her hand more firmly against his back. "Does your blood possess some adaptive property?"

Victor considered the question before answering.

"Probably."

"Probably?"

"My blood is powerful."

Rakshasa narrowed her eyes.

"That is not an explanation."

"It is the explanation I have."

She remained silent, following the way his essence surrounded hers. The reaction was not random. Victor’s blood slowly copied the drop’s thermal resistance, density, and part of its regenerative structure. It could not reproduce everything because the difference in quality was too great, but it was already using that small quantity as a model.

"You never mentioned this."

"You never asked."

"I have also never drunk your blood."

Victor opened his eyes.

Rakshasa remained silent for a moment, as though only then realizing the detail.

She had already teased him, threatened him, trained him, and pushed his body to absurd limits with her provocations, but she had never actually drunk his blood. Among powerful vampires, sharing blood was something intimate, dangerous, and full of consequences. Rakshasa had not needed to drink anyone’s blood for thousands of years, so she had simply never thought of doing it with Victor.

The smile returned to her face.

"After the training, I am going to taste it."

Victor looked over his shoulder.

"You already had other plans."

"I will add that one."

"Naturally."

Rakshasa placed her hand back against his back.

"Focus. The adaptation will make the first cycle easier, but it may also make the process unstable. Your blood will try to learn more than your body can withstand. You need to control the amount."

She injected a second drop.

This time, Victor was prepared.

"Find the foreign blood," Rakshasa ordered. "Do not try to dominate it. Circulate your essence around it and guide everything toward the heart."

Victor closed his eyes and sank his perception into his own body. His heart beat slowly, each pulse distributing vampiric energy through a network he already knew deeply. Rakshasa’s two drops were easy to distinguish. They felt like small black suns moving through his veins.

He pulled the flow.

The blood traveled along his spine, passed through the left lung, and reached the heart.

The first beat was normal.

The second made his chest sink inward.

Victor felt the entire organ being compressed from the inside out. Rakshasa’s energy crossed the walls of his heart and began reinforcing every muscular layer, not by adding material, but by destroying weak structures and forcing regeneration to rebuild them denser.

This time there was pain.

A great deal of it.

Victor leaned slightly forward.

Rakshasa placed one hand on his shoulder and held him in position.

"Do not interrupt it."

The heart beat again.

A crack appeared in one of the internal walls.

Regeneration closed it immediately.

With the next beat, the rebuilt section endured the pressure better.

"This is refinement," Rakshasa explained. "You guide energy through the blood, force the organ to its limit, allow controlled destruction, and use regeneration to rebuild it. Every cycle makes the structure more resistant."

Victor took a deep breath.

"And the other organs?"

"All of them."

The energy advanced into his lungs.

His breathing stopped for several seconds as the alveoli began to compress. Small hemorrhages appeared and were healed before they could spread.

"Lungs to sustain speed, pressure, and energy consumption. Liver to filter toxins, enemy blood, and the residue created by regeneration. Kidneys to maintain internal balance when you absorb too much energy. Stomach and intestines to withstand essences that would destroy an ordinary vampire."

The flow descended through his abdomen.

Victor felt the organs react one after another, each subjected to a different kind of pressure. The method was not merely brutal.

It was precise.

Rakshasa adjusted the intensity according to the function, density, and regenerative capacity of each part.

"After the organs, you refine the blood vessels," she continued. "They must withstand accelerated circulation. Then the bones, marrow, muscles, tendons, skin, and nerves. In the end, your entire body becomes a single combat system."

Victor kept his breathing controlled while the blood moved through his liver.

"Is there a limit?"

Rakshasa released a low laugh.

"There is the limit of how much suffering you can endure before giving up."

"That is not what I am asking."

"I know."

She increased the pressure.

Victor’s liver suffered a small rupture. The organ rebuilt itself almost instantly.

Rakshasa brought her face close to his ear.

"I have practiced this method longer than most vampires can comprehend. I have not bled in battle for more than six thousand years."

Victor remained attentive despite the pain.

"My skin is impenetrable to almost every weapon in existence. My organs can endure impacts capable of destroying mountains. My bones do not break, my muscles do not tear, and my physical strength is considered the greatest in the entire vampire world."

"Considered?"

She tightened her grip on his shoulder.

"Do not provoke me while I am holding your heart with my blood."

Victor smiled faintly.

Rakshasa continued.

"I have never found a definitive limit. Only stages that become increasingly difficult. The stronger your body becomes, the more energy is required to produce change. Refinement that strengthens you by ten percent today may not even produce one percent in a few years."

"Then I need more powerful blood."

"Or greater pressure."

"How long will your blood remain useful?"

Rakshasa smiled.

"If you survive what I am teaching you, for a very long time."

The energy began leaving his organs and advanced into the major blood vessels. Victor felt his arteries harden, expand, and rebuild themselves to withstand a much greater flow. His heart accelerated. With every beat, more blood was thrown through his body, carrying Rakshasa’s essence with it.

The ground beneath him began to crack.

The skin of his arms became red.

Black veins appeared across his neck and chest.

Rakshasa watched everything carefully but did not interrupt it. His blood continued adapting, absorbing small properties from hers and integrating them into its own structure without losing its original identity.

That was rarer than Victor seemed to understand.

Perhaps more dangerous as well.

"You are not merely compatible," Rakshasa murmured.

Victor heard her.

"What am I?"

She ran her tongue across her lips, still following the flow inside him.

"A thief."

Victor smiled.

"That sounds familiar."

"Your blood steals whatever it can understand."

"Then I match you."

Rakshasa laughed.

"Keep refining, sweetie. When you finish the first cycle, I am going to discover just how far this adaptation can go."

Victor closed his eyes again.

The blood advanced into his bones.

The first pressure made his entire spine crack.

Rakshasa pressed both hands against his back and kept the flow stable.

"Do not pass out."

"You just said you were the one who would pass out."

Her smile became dangerous.

"Good. You still have enough energy to provoke me."

The refinement continued, and for the first time since desiring Rakshasa’s techniques, Victor understood that learning from her did not merely mean receiving knowledge.

It meant rebuilding his own body until nothing within it remained human, fragile, or easy to destroy.
