My Blood Legacy: Bloodlines

Chapter 202: The New Master

Victor performed inverted push-ups in the center of the mansion’s inner courtyard, supporting his entire body with one hand while remaining completely upside down. His fingers had sunk a few millimeters into the stone, his legs stayed perfectly aligned above him, and his arm bent slowly until his hair almost touched the ground. His execution was flawless, but his face showed no concentration, determination, or satisfaction from the training. His eyes were dead, the dark circles beneath them remained deep, and his expression belonged to someone whose soul had abandoned his body during the night.

He had been drained nearly to death.

That was not an exaggerated way to describe the night. Carmilla and Scarlet had repeatedly drained his blood, stripped away every bit of energy he managed to regenerate, and demanded attention until his body began producing resources only to lose them again. Victor had faced assassins, monsters, werewolves, a chimera, and a vampire capable of replacing parts of his own body, but none of those experiences had prepared him for two yandere wives after more than two weeks of abstinence.

Victor bent his arm again and completed another push-up, maintaining balance with only minor adjustments of his fingers. The blood he had drunk that morning had already restored much of his reserves, but the spiritual exhaustion remained. Training was the only way to force his body back into a normal rhythm without having to hear Scarlet ask whether he already felt better or Carmilla suggest that a second round might help him relax.

"Monsters," he murmured as he rose again.

Little by little, Carmilla’s powers were returning. The difference between the woman he had first met and the one who had trapped him in bed through the night became more obvious every time they had sex. Her strength, endurance, and control over blood were growing rapidly, but the worst part was the way her body reacted to Victor’s. The more energy she recovered, the more demanding she became, and the closer he came to being killed by her pussy.

Scarlet was no different.

As a vampiric demi-human, she already possessed a high sex drive because of her blood and vampire physiology. The problem was her fox nature. Scarlet seemed to remain in constant heat whenever Victor was near, and her tails revealed every thought before she even opened her mouth. During the night, those damned tails had restrained his arms, legs, and waist every time he tried to rest for a few minutes.

Victor completed another repetition.

"I need to become stronger."

The sentence sounded ridiculous when taken out of context. He had just faced an entire military operation, regenerated a leg after blowing it apart during a kick, and burned a chimera until no recognizable ashes remained. Even so, at that moment, his main reason for refining his body was surviving his own wives.

He tightened his fingers, launched his body several inches upward, and switched supporting hands in midair. His right palm struck the stone with force, and Victor continued the push-ups without allowing his legs to lose alignment.

"I wish I had Rakshasa’s techniques," he murmured, thinking about the promises she had made. "They would be perfect for me."

The Demonic Sword Dance would complement Lilith in a way no ordinary technique could. Victor possessed strength, speed, and destructive powers, but he still relied too heavily on instinct whenever he used a sword. An art created to eliminate useless movements and transform every slash into a direct intention to kill fit his fighting style perfectly.

The Divine Blood Body Refinement Method was even more attractive. His body could already endure absurd damage thanks to regeneration, but that did not mean he was using all the potential available to him. A technique capable of reinforcing muscles, bones, organs, and energy channels could transform regeneration into something beyond recovery. Every injury would become material for evolution.

"You look like you are thinking quite hard."

Victor recognized the voice immediately.

His fingers pressed against the ground, and he launched himself with a single hand. His body rotated through the air in a controlled motion before his feet touched the stone. Victor turned toward the voice, preparing a natural response.

Then he froze.

Rakshasa stood beneath the covered passage connecting the garden to the courtyard, watching him with a small, confident smile. Her hanfu combined deep red and black, with golden borders following every curve of the fabric. The upper section fit perfectly around her waist and left a generous neckline between the overlapping layers, displaying the fullness of her breasts in a deliberately provocative way. A side slit revealed part of her thigh whenever she walked, while the longer fabric moved behind her like a dark flame.

Her hair was partially held by a jade hairpin, although several strands fell around her face. Her perfume reached Victor even from a distance, blending moonflowers with the natural scent of her blood. Everything had been chosen with far too much care to be a coincidence.

At that moment, Rakshasa did not look merely like a powerful vampire.

She looked like a vampire goddess who had descended into the courtyard solely to test how much self-control remained inside him.

Victor did not notice when she moved.

Rakshasa appeared in front of him without producing any perceptible displacement, leaned forward until her lips almost touched his ear, and allowed her neckline to press lightly against his chest.

"Are you going to keep devouring me with your eyes?" she asked in a low, deliberately sensual voice.

Victor did not stammer.

He was a man.

Even after the previous night, he still possessed enough dignity not to retreat from such a direct provocation. His arm wrapped around Rakshasa’s narrow waist and pulled her against him, making her breasts press completely against his chest.

"You came here quite boldly."

Rakshasa released a low laugh. One hand slid across his shoulder, feeling the muscles still warm from training.

"Hmm... how bold." Her eyes dropped to the arm around her waist. "I like men with a firm grip."

Victor became still.

An abyssal spiral seemed to form around his expression as his eyes lost every trace of amusement.

"Men?"

The pressure around the courtyard changed.

Rakshasa blinked once, realizing the mistake immediately. Then she smiled, placed her fingers beneath his chin, and forced Victor to keep his eyes fixed on hers.

"Oops." She brought her lips close to his but did not complete the kiss. "Only my man."

The pressure vanished as quickly as it had appeared.

Victor tightened his hold around her waist.

"Better."

"Possessive."

"You like it."

"I love it."

They remained close for several seconds, neither willing to be the first to create distance. Rakshasa seemed pleased to find him training, although the dark circles and exhausted expression had not escaped her notice. She could have asked what had happened, but Carmilla and Scarlet’s scents still clung to his skin. She did not need a detailed explanation.

Victor looked at the sword hanging from her waist, then returned his attention to her face.

"What did you come here for?"

Rakshasa grasped the upper edges of her hanfu and opened the neckline slightly farther. Victor expected another provocation, but instead found two small, thick manuals nestled perfectly between her breasts, protected by dark covers and golden inscriptions.

"I brought what I promised." She smiled when his eyes immediately dropped. "The Demonic Sword Dance and the Divine Blood Body Refinement Method."

Victor slowly moved his thumb across her waist.

"You store secret techniques in there?"

"Only the ones I wish to deliver personally."

He tried to remove one of the manuals, but Rakshasa closed the neckline before his fingers could reach the cover.

Victor raised an eyebrow.

"I thought they were for me."

"They are." Rakshasa placed both hands against his chest. "As long as you accept one condition."

"What?"

"Choose me as your master."

Victor looked at the manuals hidden between her breasts, then at the satisfied smile on her face. Rakshasa had clearly prepared that proposal throughout the entire journey and expected him to argue about authority, training, or a disciple’s obligations.

He did none of that.

Victor pulled her even closer.

"Oh... what a hot master you are."

Rakshasa opened her mouth to answer, but Victor seized the back of her neck and pulled her into a kiss. Their lips met forcefully, interrupting whatever provocation she had planned. For an instant, Rakshasa seemed surprised. Soon afterward, her arms wrapped around his neck and her body relaxed against his, accepting the kiss with equal intensity.

When they separated, she kept her eyes half-closed and wore a satisfied smile.

"Was that a yes?"

Victor ran his fingers along the edges of her hanfu.

"It depends."

"On what?"

"How much practical training comes with the manuals."

Rakshasa showed her fangs.

"Everything necessary to break you."

Victor smiled despite his dead eyes and the body still traumatized from the previous night.

"Then I chose a good master."

...

Serafall remained seated behind her desk inside the military office of the Capital, slowly turning the pages of the report while Natasha finished explaining the events in Bramford. The documents had been separated into three different stacks: one about the operation at the harbor, another containing the records recovered from the laboratory, and the final one listing the werewolves identified during the confrontations in the tunnels.

Natasha stood in front of her with her arms crossed and her expression as controlled as usual. She had already explained Ghideon’s death, the Chimera’s destruction, the secret laboratory, and the decision to eliminate the hybrids before transport. She had also reported every order Victor ignored, every absurd injury he suffered, and, unfortunately, the way all his reckless decisions ultimately contributed to the mission’s success.

Serafall turned to the page describing the electric kick.

"So he truly blew up his own leg."

"Yes."

"Voluntarily."

"Yes."

"To kick Ghideon."

Natasha remained silent for several seconds.

"It was a very effective kick."

Serafall slowly raised her eyes.

"You should not encourage him."

"I am not encouraging him. I am merely recording that the target passed through several walls."

Serafall looked back down at the page with an exhausted expression. Victor possessed a rare talent for transforming completely idiotic ideas into functional strategies, which made scolding him far more difficult without making it seem as though she were criticizing the results.

She opened her mouth to ask another question.

A sudden irritation crossed her nose.

Serafall frowned, tried to suppress the reaction, and turned her head aside, but it was useless.

"ACHOO!"

The sneeze shook the office.

The windows rattled inside their frames, two reports were thrown from the desk, and a small crack appeared across Yuka’s inkwell. Natasha did not move, but her eyes followed a pen that rolled toward the edge and fell onto the floor.

Outside, several soldiers stopped in the corridor.

Yuka immediately appeared in the doorway, alarmed.

"General?"

Serafall raised one hand.

"I am fine."

Yuka looked at the crack in the inkwell.

"Are you certain?"

"Return to work."

The secretary carefully closed the door, although she continued looking at Serafall until the final instant.

Natasha waited several seconds before speaking.

"Are you all right?"

Serafall passed one finger beneath her nose and remained still. There was no strange scent in the room, no irritating substance, and no change in her body. Vampires did not sneeze easily, especially someone with her level of control.

She narrowed her eyes.

"Someone is doing something I do not approve of."

Natasha raised an eyebrow.

"That is your conclusion?"

"Yes."

"Could it not merely be dust?"

Serafall looked around the perfectly clean office.

"No."

"Some perfume?"

"No."

"Perhaps a reaction to the products used inside the laboratory."

Serafall slowly closed the folder.

"It is Victor."
