Chapter 95

The eyes of the lazy Liyu slowly changed when he sensed just how much pressure was coming from the original. His Qi... it was really, really powerful. He could immediately tell that the original’s Qi was superior to his own.

A Qi mutation... his mind reached that conclusion almost instantly. At that very moment, he realized that this battle wouldn’t be nearly as easy as he had originally thought. His instincts were already sending him blaring warning signals, which genuinely surprised him.

Even though both he and the original were in the exact same cultivation realm and stage, he could clearly tell that the original’s raw power had already surpassed his own.

"...Too troublesome."

He didn’t even get to finish muttering those words before a fist shot toward his head at a speed that was practically impossible to dodge... or rather, impossible for any ordinary Qi Gathering Realm cultivator to dodge. But he wasn’t just any Qi Gathering Realm cultivator.

He casually took a single step backward, the one eye he had opened suddenly sharpening. Qi rapidly gathered around his hand, forming a swirling vortex before he struck toward Liyu’s jaw. His intention was simple: end the fight quickly; there was no need to drag it out any longer than necessary.

Yet, his unbelievably fast strike was intercepted by one of Liyu’s Qi-enhanced punches. The two attacks collided head-on, and a violent burst of power exploded outward. The surrounding earth shattered, forming a massive crater beneath the two of them.

Both figures immediately disengaged. Liyu’s gaze sharpened; the simple fact that he hadn’t managed to put this clone down within just a few exchanges already said a great deal about the guy’s potential. He was fast, his reaction speed was extraordinary, and Liyu couldn’t help but feel impressed.

Meanwhile, the lazy Liyu landed lightly on the ground. "This guy... he’s a monster," he couldn’t help but think to himself. The original was unbelievably strong. When had the Heaven’s Greatest Slacker ever encountered someone within the same cultivation realm and stage who could genuinely threaten him?

Never. Such a thing had never happened before. He had always been the strongest. Of course, he knew he was still holding back considerably; however, he was equally certain that the original was doing exactly the same. He lazily rubbed the side of his temple. "Can’t things just move forward peacefully without all this unnecessary trouble...? Too..."

He once again failed to finish even a single thought. Another wave of danger suddenly rushed toward him. His expression changed, his figure instantly blurring as he moved at astonishing speed. Qi completely reinforced both of his hands; every ounce of Qi was used with absolute efficiency, and not even the slightest bit was wasted.

The eye he had opened became noticeably more serious. Then, he met the original’s assault head-on.

The two immediately exchanged a rapid barrage of blows: fists, palms, elbows, knees. Each collision sent violent shockwaves throughout the surrounding forest, and the ground continuously cracked beneath them while trees shattered apart from the force alone.

As the two continued fighting in an intense hand-to-hand battle, Liyu couldn’t help but become surprised once again by this clone of his. Every single one of his movements was efficient... every attack, every dodge, every counter. It was almost as though he was reading Liyu’s every move before it even happened.

Liyu found himself impressed yet again by the way this clone fought.

Without hesitation, he doubled the speed of his attacks. At the same time, he poured even more of his Primal Qi into every strike, making each blow significantly more brutal than the last.

The one eye the lazy clone had opened dimmed slightly. If it had been anyone else, they probably would’ve sighed in frustration, but even sighing felt like too much effort for him.

Things were becoming troublesome. He knew he couldn’t afford to continue fighting casually anymore; if he did, he would definitely end up taking a brutal hit.

So, he abandoned that idea entirely. Instead, he continued clashing head-on with the original at incredible speed.

He tried his best to keep up with Liyu’s attack speed, and he even managed to match several of his movements.

However, one thing soon became painfully clear: even if he could barely keep pace with the speed, the power behind Liyu’s Qi-infused punches was on an entirely different level.

His own attacks simply couldn’t compare. Again and again, he was forced backward. Several times he was nearly struck, yet with an effortless sidestep, his figure vanished. All Liyu felt was a ripple of Qi. The next instant, the lazy clone had already appeared directly behind him.

"This is over," he spoke calmly. Qi rapidly gathered around his palm, swirling faster and faster. Within the blink of an eye, his hand transformed into a deadly palm strike capable of crushing solid steel upon contact.

Without the slightest hesitation, he thrust his palm toward the back of Liyu’s head. His intention wasn’t to kill... only to knock the original unconscious. Yet, Liyu’s lips merely curled into a faint smile.

The next second, a devastating kick slammed directly into the lazy clone’s cheek. Boom! His entire body was blasted through the forest like a cannonball fired from its barrel at full force. He crashed through one giant tree after another, each impact shattering another trunk into pieces before he finally twisted his body midair, landing lightly upon both feet.

A small groan escaped his lips; even the act of showing that he had been slightly hurt somehow looked unbelievably lazy. He lazily cracked his neck.

Then, he heard calm, steady footsteps approaching him. Looking up, he saw the original walking toward him... that abnormal version of himself. "Why the hell is someone this strong...?" he couldn’t help but wonder.

"And what exactly did he use just now...? A movement Spirit Art capable of increasing his speed severalfold...?"That was the only explanation that made any sense. After all, he had been certain that he had already won that exchange, yet the original had somehow disappeared before retaliating instantly.

Liyu looked at his clone before smiling. "You’re definitely strong. But this fight has gone on for far too long. If you don’t want to get roughed up badly, then you’d better fight with everything you’ve got."

The lazy clone slowly raised an eyebrow. For the first time since the battle had begun, he could clearly tell that Liyu wasn’t joking. And it showed in the very next second. Liyu’s eyes flashed: "Momentum has been activated."

The lazy Liyu tried to dodge, but it was already too late. He received his second direct hit of the battle. His body was sent flying through the air at an alarming speed. Yet he didn’t cry out in pain; instead, he simply sighed. "Must I really get serious...?" he wondered.

He rarely became serious when dealing with opponents in the same realm, and even those three or four realms above him were no exception. And yet, right now, he felt that if he truly wanted to win, he would have to become serious... even if it was only slightly.

He twisted his body once again before landing calmly on both feet. His legs spread slightly apart, and a spiral of Qi slowly revolved around his figure. One hand formed a chopping stance; the other was held in a punching stance, though the fist pointed downward. It was a combat style Liyu had never seen before.

Seeing that the other version of himself was finally becoming serious, Liyu smiled. A white ring of light pulsed within his eyes: "Origin Eyes have been activated." He released his Primal Qi to its fullest, then charged forward.

The sharpened gaze of the lazy Liyu suddenly dimmed slightly. He let out another exhausted sigh. "Too troublesome..."

A few minutes later, the center of the forest, where the original and his clone had been fighting, had been completely and utterly decimated.

The surrounding earth had long since collapsed, countless trees had been reduced to splinters, and deep craters covered nearly every inch of the battlefield. The lazy Liyu sat on the ground looking slightly battered. He slowly raised one hand into the air. "Okay... I give up. No more fighting."

Liyu, who was still completely prepared to continue beating him up, paused for a moment. Seeing that the other party was genuinely serious, he slowly lowered the fist he had already prepared to throw. "Yeah... yeah... I agree. You’re the strongest. So... can I go sleep now?"

Immediately after those words, a familiar system notification echoed within Liyu’s mind: *Ding! Your authority over your Lazy Clone has increased.* Seeing that message, Liyu couldn’t help but smile.

He had accomplished exactly what this battle had been meant for... to let his clones know who was truly in charge here.

Still, even Liyu himself had to admit that this clone was unbelievably powerful. The mere fact that he had managed to fight against Liyu, who had been going nearly all out, already proved just how ridiculously overpowered this fellow truly was.

What was even more shocking was that Liyu could clearly tell the damn brat still hadn’t gone all out. He hadn’t even opened the eye that remained closed throughout the entire battle, as though opening both eyes required far too much effort.

Well, knowing his personality, that probably was the exact reason. Which meant, if this clone truly fought with everything he had, he was probably stronger than Liyu... for now.

But that was something Liyu intended to change. No matter what, his own rank would continue increasing very soon.

Very soon, he would surpass every Mini Rank within S-Rank before stepping into SS-Rank. And he wouldn’t remain within SS-Rank for long either; he would cross that rank as well, then step into SSS-Rank, and eventually, the unranked... the immeasurable... the EX Rank.

Finally, Liyu looked away from his lazy reflection, who still looked as though remaining awake was the greatest suffering imaginable. The clone stared back at him with half-lidded eyes that practically begged: "Can I please go back to sleep now...?"

Liyu ignored his silent plea. Instead, he shifted his attention toward his hitman reflection. He certainly hadn’t forgotten this guy’s achievements either, and he had to admit they were just as astonishing.

After questioning him, the clone answered every single question with sharp and precise responses... no unnecessary words, no sugarcoating, only facts. Listening to him, Liyu found himself surprised once again.

He learned that Dead Eye had accepted the contract to eliminate every single Overlord within his galaxy because of one woman. A woman who had lost absolutely everything: her husband, her children, her family, her relatives... even her entire town.

Every single person she had ever known had been wiped out, all because of the senseless wars orchestrated by the Overlords to keep the masses under control and prevent them from ever daring to rebel.

Ironically, those very same actions became the beginning of their downfall because that woman eventually sought out the greatest hitman to have ever existed.

She found Dead Eye, and she signed a contract... a contract to eliminate every single one of the one hundred thousand Overlords. The very moment Dead Eye accepted that contract, the fate of every one of those one hundred thousand Overlords had already been sealed.

Hearing the story directly from Dead Eye himself, even Liyu couldn’t help but feel surprised. Eventually, he asked the question that had been on his mind: "How did you die?"

After all, only after dying would someone become trapped within the Infinite Reflection System and eventually become one of his clones. Dead Eye’s answer was simple: "I was betrayed. My employer killed me."

Liyu blinked. "What...?" He genuinely couldn’t understand. However, he didn’t bother asking any further. That was all in the past now. Besides, he still had many things left to do. So he turned his attention toward the task at hand.

First, he needed to customize the names of his two new clones. Doing so would allow him to obtain new abilities. Momentum had served him exceptionally well after obtaining it from King Rayden. Naturally, he was extremely curious about what abilities these two clones would grant him.

Opening the lazy clone’s name page, he entered: "Lazy Rayden." Then he moved to the second clone. Without hesitation, he typed: "Dead Eye Rayden."

A moment later, the familiar system notification echoed once more: "Ding! Clone names successfully customized. Lazy Rayden. Dead Eye Rayden. The designated names had been successfully recorded."

And then, he received the gifts he had been expecting. From Lazy Rayden, he obtained the S-Rank Skill: Perfect Efficiency.

Description: When activated, every action is instinctively optimized. Unnecessary movements are eliminated. Qi usage is minimized. Stamina consumption drops drastically as every technique is executed with maximum efficiency. Time Limit: 1 hour. Cooldown: 20 mins.

From Dead Eye Rayden, he obtained another S-Rank Skill: Eagle Eyes.

Description: When activated, the host’s eyesight undergoes a tremendous enhancement, granting vision far beyond that of ordinary cultivators. Eagle Eyes allows the host to perceive distant targets with perfect clarity, identify an opponent’s weaknesses more easily, accurately judge distances, and calculate the optimal point of impact.

Everything... movements, Qi fluctuations, airflow, even the slightest disturbances in the surroundings... becomes significantly easier to detect. Time Limit: 1 hour 30 minutes. Cooldown: 30 mins.

Liyu blinked. Then he smiled. "Jackpot."

He had managed to get his hands on yet another jackpot. The skill that Lazy Rayden had given him was already good enough to be considered an incredible reward, but when combined with the skill Dead Eye had given him... along with Momentum, the ability he had inherited from King Rayden... his overall strength had once again risen to an entirely new level.

Liyu suddenly had a thought. Without hesitation, he summoned King Rayden. The kingly clone materialized before him before immediately looking toward the other two clones with a slightly raised eyebrow. He seemed genuinely surprised that there were now more reflections.

Still, being the strange king that he was, very few things managed to shock him for long. His expression quickly returned to calmness as he quietly observed the two newcomers with mild curiosity.

Liyu couldn’t help but silently compare his three clones. None of them would be easy opponents. Lazy Rayden was undoubtedly the strongest among the three. As for the dark-clothed assassin and the kingly clone, Liyu honestly found it difficult to determine which one was stronger.

He could have simply asked the two of them to fight and settle the matter themselves. However, he had another plan in mind.

With a calm expression, he spoke: "Listen carefully. I’m the boss around here. And every one of you listens to my commands. Understood?"

King Rayden merely nodded; he had already accepted that fact long ago. The assassin, Dead Eye Rayden, placed a hand over his chest before bowing respectfully. Liyu could already tell he was definitely going to like this hitman clone more.

As for Lazy Rayden, he simply looked at Liyu, gave a lazy nod, then closed his eye again. The bastard hadn’t even bothered leaving the crater from their previous battle. Apparently, even standing up and walking out of the crater was too troublesome.

"Okay. Since that’s settled, I’ve got something coming up soon. So all of you... come and face me. I’ll be fighting the three of you at the same time. Three against one. And I want all of you to go all out."

The three clones looked at him simultaneously. King Rayden raised an eyebrow. *What exactly is the original talking about now?* It honestly made very little sense. Every one of them was extremely powerful. If the three of them fought together, did the original really believe he stood any chance of winning?

Seeing their hesitation, Liyu immediately urged them on. He turned toward Dead Eye Rayden. "This is a mission. Your objective is to incapacitate me." Then he looked toward the other two.

"And you two... fight me with everything you’ve got. If you do, you’ll be allowed to sleep peacefully for the rest of the day without being disturbed."

Lazy Rayden, who had remained completely uninterested until now, immediately stood up from the crater. His half-lidded eyes looked toward Liyu. "Are you sure about this?"

Liyu smiled before nodding. "Not only that, I’ll even get you a really comfortable bed afterward. You can sleep somewhere soft and relaxing."

The moment he heard those words, Lazy Rayden’s eyes actually shone. Sleeping... on a comfortable bed... that was an offer he simply couldn’t refuse. He immediately became ready for battle.

King Rayden, however, still seemed hesitant. He was genuinely worried about the original. After all, every one of the three of them was extraordinarily powerful. It didn’t matter how strong the original himself was; three against one simply wasn’t a favorable situation. He hesitated.

But another clone didn’t. Liyu suddenly sensed an overwhelming danger. Without thinking, he immediately shifted his stance to one side.

The very next instant, a Qi bullet tore past the side of his face. It didn’t merely bury itself into the tree behind him; it completely obliterated it. Liyu immediately moved again. The sound of another gunshot echoed behind him. "Damn... that guy is getting way too efficient. He almost killed me."

He hadn’t even finished lamenting before another sense of danger exploded above him. Looking upward, he saw Lazy Rayden descending from the sky. A terrifying Qi-infused palm strike came crashing toward his skull.

Liyu barely managed to evade the attack by relying on Momentum. *Boom!* The palm strike smashed into the ground, and the impact alone shattered the earth apart.

Liyu landed several meters away before letting out a slow breath. He had expected this. He already knew this training wouldn’t be easy. However, there was no way he was going to let himself get beaten into a miserable state by his own clones.

If he truly wanted this to become genuine training, instead of a one-sided beating, then he needed to stop holding back. Liyu’s pupils narrowed into slits.

"Ding! Momentum has been activated."

"Ding! Eagle Eyes have been activated."

"Ding! Perfect Efficiency has been activated."

"Ding! Primal Qi has boosted all active skills severalfold."

Liyu slowly grinned. "Time... to enter serious training mode."
