Chapter 427: Abnormal Realm (2)
While the slave traders were panicking, the humans and intelligent magic beasts, on the other hand, reacted very differently.
Seeing the devils that had captured them dying one after another, the natives were relieved and overjoyed.
They did not fully understand what was happening or where these slave traders had come from, but they knew that they were not friendly.
Who knew what kind of fate awaited those who had been captured by them?
Fortunately, another mysterious person had appeared and was killing these evil people one after another. They only hoped that they hadn’t escaped the wolf’s mouth only to enter the tiger’s den.
"Look! They are being killed!"
"Serves them right!"
"My sister was captured by them. They deserve to die!"
While the slave traders were panicking, the natives, on the other hand, were celebrating.
Seeing Claude was like seeing the Grim Reaper, and the slave traders were terrified.
"Back to the void ship!"
"We must use the void ship’s cannon to kill this madman!"
"Hurry! Kill him!"
Seeing that none of them could withstand even a single sword strike from this unknown man, the slave traders decided to use the void ship to kill him.
While the void ship could not contend against a Noble Rank being, it could definitely kill Great Mages and those below them.
Great Mages could not withstand the void ship’s power. After all, while the void ship was not as powerful as a Noble Mage, its power still far exceeded that of a Great Mage.
It could be said that its power lay somewhere between the Great and Noble Ranks.
Seeing the slave traders’ intentions, Claude naturally could not let them succeed. Even for the current him, he could not say for certain that he would survive an attack from a void ship.
"Since they want to use the void ship to kill me, then I will kill them using my own void ship."
Claude’s void ship was of a higher quality than the slave traders’ void ship, and he could even control it remotely.
Using the magic chip implanted in his head, which almost everyone who had made contact with the universe possessed, Claude controlled his void ship.
His half jet-black and half white hair was blown by the wind, making him look even more ethereal, but his expression was as cold as ice.
He had always hated injustice, and these slave traders were exactly the kind of people he despised.
Without an ounce of mercy, he controlled the magic cannons of his void ship and aimed them at the slave traders’ void ship inside the realm.
Claude knew that this realm was extremely fragile. Spatial storms had appeared one after another due to the clash between beings that had reached the third rank. As such, he didn’t dare use his void ship’s full power inside the realm.
What he planned to do was destroy the slave traders’ void ship to prevent them from using it against him.
As for who would kill the slave traders... that was naturally Claude Preston! He had enough confidence and strength to do that on his own.
With his command, the void ship fired a beam of mana toward the slave traders’ void ship.
The superior quality of his own void ship quickly became apparent. After a few rounds of magic cannon attacks, the slave traders’ void ship was completely destroyed, causing them to despair.
The other party also had a void ship. Didn’t that mean that if he wanted to, he could use the void ship to kill them?
Everyone was completely terrified, and they decided to resort to threatening Claude by mentioning their backer.
"S-stop! We are the subordinates of Noble Mage Erega!"
"That’s right! Killing us means offending a Noble Mage!"
"That’s a Noble Mage! That is a realm we couldn’t even hope to reach!"
"If you stop now and beg for mercy, Noble Mage Erega might still spare you!"
"If you continue killing us, you will further offend a Noble Mage. That is definitely not someone you can afford to offend!"
It was as if the slave traders had been injected with chicken blood. They remembered that they were subordinates of a Noble Mage.
Even if you wanted to scold a dog, you still had to check who its owner was. Killing them was akin to offending a Noble Mage.
This madman should be afraid now, right?
Unfortunately, their threats were far from effective. Not to mention a Noble Mage—even if it were a Royal Mage, Claude still wouldn’t be afraid.
He had a sixth-rank Sage Mage as his Master!
While he wouldn’t deliberately make trouble for his Master, he was also not someone who disdained using his connections if it was for the greater good.
Even if he killed all these slave traders, not only would a Noble Mage not kill him, that Noble Mage might even apologize to his Sage Mage Master!
As such, Claude continued his massacre. He didn’t use any large-area magic for fear that the entire realm would collapse.
Even then, he was still moving extremely fast. Since he only needed a single strike to kill, it didn’t take long before all the slave traders had been massacred.
One man... all it took was a single person to kill thousands of Senior and Great Mages!
Not only was he not a peak Great Mage, but he was not even a late-cycle Great Mage! He was only a mid-cycle Great Mage.
The further one cultivated, the harder it became to fight people above one’s own realm. However, for Claude Preston, it seemed as if the higher his cultivation realm became, the more capable he was of defeating and killing people above his level.
Just as Claude was about to check on the natives and save as many of them as he could, he suddenly felt something.
The realm was communicating with him in its own subtle way, and with a frown, he flew toward a certain direction and thrust his sword.
"Ahh!! No! How did you find me? I used a high-quality invisibility talisman! Only a Noble Mage should have been able to detect me!"
The space where Claude thrust his sword distorted, and from it, the vice captain of the slave traders appeared.
This cowardly man, after seeing Claude kill Great Mages as easily as if they were chickens, was frightened to the extreme. He didn’t dare show himself and could only hide.
What he didn’t expect was that even after using a treasure talisman, he was still detected by Claude.
Of course, he was actually wrong. It was not Claude who personally detected him; it was the realm itself that revealed his location.
"Hmph!" Claude snorted coldly as he watched the vice captain die.
With the vice captain’s death, all the slave traders were finally killed. However, their arrival had greatly harmed the realm.
One must know that the Savage Beast Realm had barely managed to give birth to two first-cycle Great Rank beings. Even among third-rank realms, it was one of the weakest.
But now, thousands of Great Mages had clashed, and there was no shortage of beings at the peak of the third rank. It was inevitable that the realm’s vitality would suffer.
When a realm’s vitality suffered, it was the living beings inside it that were affected the most.
Just look at these spatial storms. Due to the realm’s current state, it would take quite some time before space healed.
This meant that the living area available to the natives had shrunk considerably. After all, not everyone could survive near the torn fabric of space.
As Claude was unwilling to see more people die, he took out special stones from his spatial ring, and the stones blended into the broken space, healing it at a rate visible to the naked eye.
These stones were Stabilizing Space Stones, and their name was self-explanatory. They could stabilize space itself.
They were materials used for artifacts or formations, but they could also be used to heal broken space.
With these stones, fewer people would die from the spatial storms, and the realm would become habitable once again.
As Claude helped heal the realm, he once again sensed fortune aura descending. Just like in the Eclipsion Realm, as long as he remained inside this unknown realm, he would be a quasi-Noble Mage.
He would also be able to use the surrounding mana, something that normally only Noble Mages could do, despite being only at the mid cycle of the Great Rank.
This was truly abnormal, but since it had already happened once before, the shock the second time was much less. Something that happened only once was a novelty, but if it continued to happen repeatedly, sooner or later it would become just another normal occurrence.
Claude would rather save more people’s lives than delve deeper into this mystery. He believed that one day, he would learn the reason behind this abnormality.
For now, saving lives was the priority.
