Chapter 871

Paul, Eric, and some of their friends from the ship expressed interest in exploring the jungle of Rokutua.

Anton immediately warned them that the jungle was filled with highly toxic insects and ferocious beasts. The plants were also extremely dangerous, and even with him protecting them, there was still a high chance that some of them could die.

When a few of them foolishly insisted that it did not matter even if they were killed, Anton simply glared at them and told them that the main city had plenty of entertainment venues where they could enjoy themselves safely.

Anton could not fault the young people from the ship for their excitement. All of his acquaintances who had managed to acquire one of his toy wands when he sold them to the children of Rokutua had earned a huge amount of gold coins from the wizards of both the ship and Rokutua. Because of their sudden wealth, everyone was excited and felt like they were on top of the world. They felt invincible and wanted to explore every corner of Rokutua.

The fact that Anton had been overly generous and spent a tremendous amount of gold coins treating his friends also made the families of the young people from the ship view him favorably. Their families did not need to provide them with spending money, and they could save the earnings from selling the toy wands Anton had given them.

One of the ship’s officers even approached Anton to check whether he was being taken advantage of by the young people from the Bottom section. At least the man was subtle with his questions and immediately stopped when Anton expressed his displeasure at the idea that he could easily be scammed by others, despite being intelligent enough to reach the Supreme Rank in wizardry.

Still, Anton felt a little touched that the ship’s officers cared enough to check on him, even though he knew their concern was partly because of the importance Ormunda placed on him as the person providing the Portal Scrolls.

“It’s just a little sad that I won’t be able to watch movies in the cinema again,” one of the girls in their group said.

“Yes. I kept hoping that a cinema would also open in Izmorta,” another one sighed.

“You can ask Anton about that. His family owns the cinema,” Eric accidentally revealed.

Paul glared at Eric because of the information he had just dropped on the group. Anton did not blame Eric, since he had never forbidden them from telling others about the cinema.

“Our family won’t be opening a cinema in Izmorta. It’s too far away! Even if a portal is established, if we decide to open another branch, we’ll prioritize the kingdoms in the Gale Continent,” Anton said.

They were sitting in a park somewhere in the main city of Rokutua, resting. Because someone had brought up the topic of movies, their conversation revolved around it for the next several minutes.

Anton explained for what felt like the hundredth time where movies came from, and as usual, his friends could not believe that the dimension where the films originated did not have magic.

Anton told them about the many things Earth could offer besides movies. Finally, he explained that his desire to become an interdimensional adventurer was also influenced by movies. He wanted to travel to different dimensions because he wanted to see cultures and worlds similar to the scenes he had seen in films.

Even though movies were fictional, Anton explained that the universe was so vast that it was not impossible to find planets with similar magic, technology, and cultures to the stories shown in films.

Eventually, the inevitable happened. Someone asked if they could watch one of the movies Anton could provide.

Anton told his friends that he was a little busy with his magic and could only allow everyone to watch a movie once a week.

Since Anton also enjoyed watching films, sometimes watching them when he grew tired of leveling up his Diablo II ladder characters, he thought it would be fine to watch a movie he had not seen before together with the others.

He did not want his journey to become focused on movies, like what happened when he traveled with his family from Rendindura to the Gale Continent. However, watching one movie a week was acceptable, especially since he would only watch it together with his friends.

That announcement brought enormous excitement to everyone.

In truth, only a few of them had managed to watch movies from Anton’s family cinema in Ormunda because of the ticket prices. However, everyone knew about movies and had heard from those who had seen them that they were the greatest form of entertainment that had recently appeared in Ormunda.

The fact that Anton would allow them to watch movies for free once a week was a huge benefit.

“Just don’t share this news with others. Once it spreads, there’s a chance that a lot of people will try to join our group whenever we watch a movie,” Anton warned.

Everyone, including Paul and Eric, nodded vigorously.

No one wanted to jeopardize their chance to watch movies for free while traveling aboard the ship.

After resting in the park, their group continued exploring. They visited different locations and ate plenty of street food. They watched theater performances and listened to musicians playing in the taverns of Rokutua.

They also visited Rokutua’s infamous horse racing track, but only a few of them gambled with their coins. They knew that if they lost too much money gambling, their families would severely scold them.

Wanting to join in on the excitement, Anton placed a bet on one of the racehorses. As usual, whenever Anton gambled, he lost.

In truth, Anton found it strange that he always lost whenever he gambled on anything. He thought that perhaps he had used up all his luck by receiving a powerful system like his Diablo System.

Anton noticed that Paul and Eric were looking at him strangely.

“What?”

“I’ve never seen you win,” Paul commented.

Anton simply shrugged.

Anton remembered that the first time he met the two young men, it was inside one of the casinos on the ship. Back then, they had watched him lose a large amount of coins while gambling.

They had also joined him several times when visiting different gambling venues, and admittedly, Anton had never won anything.

He also never tried to cheat. Even though there was a chance that he could figure out how to cheat using his skills, gambling halls were extremely strict and had various methods to detect magical interference.

They could even detect the use of esoteric magic, such as divination magic.

Anton also had no desire to cheat when gambling because, to him, gambling was simply a form of entertainment. Cheating would only ruin the experience.

He had never considered earning money through gambling because, once again, he had several easier ways to obtain coins.

After losing at the race track, the sun began to set, so they searched for a nice restaurant where they could have dinner. Afterward, everyone returned to rest.

The next day was their last day on the island of Rokutua. Unfortunately, all of the young people who had joined Anton the previous day were gathered by their families to help them acquire supplies from the islanders.

Because of that, Anton had to explore Rokutua alone.

He spent his time purchasing many exclusive products that could only be found on the island.

Most of his purchases were food.

Afterward, he returned to the inn where he had rented a suite and checked out.

It was already noon when he boarded the ship. According to the schedule, the ship would depart from the Island of Rokutua at around five in the afternoon.
