Chapter 896

For several days, Anton immersed himself in studying the mana structure of the most basic Cleaning Spell. Since he had chosen the cantrip version of the spell, its structure was relatively simple. As a result, he gradually came to understand the underlying logic behind its construction and the various magical elements that allowed it to function.

His research revealed that the spell incorporated minute amounts of the fire, water, and lightning elements. Fortunately, Anton was already well-versed in all three. Ever since he had transmigrated into this world, he had been studying the mana structures of the Sorceress's skills from Diablo II, as it had always been his favorite character class.

After spending another two weeks rearranging the spell's mana structure to fit the framework of his Diablo II Sorceress abilities, Anton finally completed a working version.

The next step was ensuring that the spell contained no flaws.

That meant endless trial-and-error testing, a process Anton expected would require thousands of attempts.

Two more weeks later, he finally perfected his Diablo II version of the Cleaning Spell.

The spell combined modified portions of the mana structures from Fire Bolt, Ice Bolt, and Charged Bolt, each extensively altered to fulfill the function of a Cleaning Spell.

Anton was delighted when a fourth tab suddenly appeared within his Sorceress skill tree.

The new tab was labeled General Spells, and it currently contained only a single entry—his Diablo II version of the Cleaning Spell.

From what he understood, every spell he successfully created using Sorceress-based mana structures would eventually be listed under this category.

He also noticed that the spell already possessed one skill point, which was also its maximum level.

According to its description, the area the spell could clean depended entirely on the amount of mana invested into it. During his testing, Anton discovered that its mana capacity was remarkably high, allowing him to clean an enormous area with a single cast.

The spell's operation was surprisingly elegant.

The Fire Bolt mana structure disintegrated any material identified as dirt or anything the caster wished to remove.

The Charged Bolt mana structure gathered the residual particles created during the disintegration process.

Finally, the Ice Bolt mana structure transformed those particles into water, froze them, and harmlessly dispersed them into the air.

Even better, the spell was extraordinarily efficient.

Even when cast at its maximum mana capacity, it consumed no more mana than a single Fire Ball spell.

Anton was immensely satisfied with his accomplishment.

Successfully recreating the Cleaning Spell under the framework of his Diablo System meant that if Izmorta's rebirth process truly left the Diablo System untouched, then this spell would likewise remain unaffected.

The best part was that the project never disrupted his daily routine.

The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation.

While developing the spell, he still completed his daily Diablo Immortal quests and spent plenty of time socializing with his friends.

During the weeks he had been recreating the Cleaning Spell, Liemdal visited his room to invite him to meet the group the captain had appointed to organize the upcoming cosplay event.

There were ten organizers in total, nearly all of them nobles.

Anton understood why they had chosen to proceed with the event.

By then, the passengers had already watched numerous films, including The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit trilogy, Star Wars, and, most recently, the Harry Potter films.

Anton did not mind that the captain had begun showing the movies much more frequently than before.

Since many of the younger passengers had already started copying the clothing worn by characters from those films, a cosplay event was the obvious next step.

The organizers wanted to learn what made a cosplay convention successful.

They gathered in one of the ship's meeting halls, where Anton showed them video clips of cosplay conventions from Earth.

As they watched, he explained the various attractions commonly found at such events, including merchandise booths, costume competitions with prizes, themed boutiques, and numerous other activities.

Before the meeting concluded, Anton made one thing clear.

This would be the last time he would involve himself in organizing the event.

He had no desire to participate in its behind-the-scenes management, nor did he wish to be interrupted with questions about it in the future.

If the organizers encountered problems, they would have to solve them themselves.

After all, they were more than intelligent enough to do so.

At the very least, they agreed that since the entire concept of the convention had originated from Anton, he would be granted free admission whenever the event began.

Anton accepted on one condition.

Since his ideas had inspired the convention, all of his friends would also receive free admission, especially after learning that the organizers intended to charge an extremely high entrance fee.

Liemdal immediately assured him that every one of Anton's friends would be admitted free of charge.

He even informed Anton that he had already compiled a complete list of their names.

His friends were already grateful that Anton's agreement with the ship allowed them and their families to watch all of the movies free of charge.

Now, thanks to his negotiations, they would also be able to attend the cosplay convention without paying for admission.

According to the organizers, the event would take place in approximately two weeks.

After the meeting ended, Anton summoned Paul and Eric to his favorite café using one of his Raven Summons.

"I've got news!" Anton announced as soon as they arrived.

Paul and Eric ignored him completely.

Instead, they walked straight to the counter and ordered an enormous assortment of pastries and drinks.

Anton simply rolled his eyes.

He knew that several of his friends liked taking advantage of his agreement with the ship.

Unfortunately for them, the merchants would only allow purchases to be charged under Anton's name if he was physically present.

As a result, whenever Anton accompanied them to a café or restaurant, they made sure to order enough food to leave completely satisfied.

"So, what's the news?" Paul finally asked after swallowing a mouthful of cream bread.

"The ship's cosplay event will be held in two weeks," Anton said. "I strongly recommend that all of you participate in the costume contests. The prizes are worth competing for."

He proceeded to explain the various competitions that would be held during the convention.

In addition to the individual costume contest, there would be a group costume competition requiring teams of four to five participants with a unified theme.

There would also be contests for reenacting scenes from movies, along with several other events.

The announcement immediately excited both of his friends.

They eagerly began discussing which costumes they wanted to create.

Anton chuckled.

"It'll be better to plan everything once the rest of our friends arrive."

He also informed them about the convention's admission fee.

The ticket price left both Paul and Eric completely speechless.

Before disappointment could settle in, however, Anton burst into laughter.

"Don't worry," he said. "All of my friends are getting in for free."

Paul glared at him, but after a few seconds, they hurriedly ate the remaining food that they had ordered so they could meet up with the rest of their friends.

Anton told them that he would all of them in their favorite deck. Paul and Eric rushed to gather the rest, and Anton headed to the deck that was located a floor below the Noble Section of the ship. The deck was mostly used by their group simply because only a very few people knew of its existence.

While he was waiting for his friends to arrive, Anton was surprised when his Diablo System suddenly sent him a notification, and when he opened it, he was extremely delighted.
