Chapter 882

Anton, Paul, and Eric spent a few more minutes enjoying the mouthwatering pastries and drinking some of the most delicious beverages they had ever tasted at the café. They learned that the baker and bartender working there were elves, which explained why the shop’s products were exceptionally delicious.

Anton believed the rumors that whatever elves created, they would elevate it to the highest possible quality. Perhaps because of their incredibly long lifespans, they had enough time to master any craft they pursued. He then proceeded to purchase as many of the café’s available products as possible so he could store them in his inventory for future consumption.

Thankfully, the café owner welcomed the transaction and did not seem concerned that the shop would be unable to serve its regular customers. Anton soon understood why when one of the customers complained. The elf owner simply explained that the customer making the bulk purchase was a foreign supreme-rank wizard and that the ship that had brought him to the island would be leaving in three days.

Anton was so impressed by the café’s products that he told the owner he planned to purchase as much as he could the following day. The elven owner asked Anton what his budget was so they could prepare the order overnight and make enough items for him.

Anton gave him a very high estimate, which startled the elf slightly. Due to the massive size of the order, Anton was required to pay a deposit, so he paid 50% of the total cost upfront.

The café owner assured him that the order would be ready at the same time the next day, which delighted Anton.

Paul and Eric were greatly surprised by his actions. Anton then remembered that this was the first time they had seen him do something like this, as he had never made such purchases at any of the restaurants, bakeries, or cafés on the ship.

“I normally do this whenever I find a shop that sells food that truly impresses me. To be honest, I have so much delicious food and drinks stored in my inventory that even if I were stranded somewhere for decades, I wouldn’t go hungry,” Anton admitted to his friends.

“Your spatial item must be extraordinarily massive, then,” Paul said.

Anton merely shrugged, since he did not need to comment on something obvious.

Anton then asked their elven guide where he planned to take them next, and Mironor told them about the Lake of Anormona.

“The crystal-clear lake is home to some of the most beautiful fish that have ever existed. Many elves swim there at this time of day,” Mironor explained.

That immediately excited the three youths. They wanted to see the beautiful lake, but what they were truly interested in was seeing the beautiful elven women that Mironor mentioned would be swimming there.

Mironor had already explained the rules they needed to follow. They were allowed to swim, but they had to wear modest swimwear. That rule disappointed the three young men because they knew it meant they would not be able to see much skin from the elven women.

They also needed to shower with shampoo and soap to ensure their bodies and swimwear were clean before entering the lake. Littering was strictly forbidden, and most importantly, they were not allowed to kill any of the fish living in the lake.

Stolen novel; please report.

“Can we swim beneath the lake and truly see its beauty? I can cast the Underwater Breathing spell so we can breathe,” Anton asked their guide.

Mironor simply nodded but told them that he would need to follow closely behind them. This meant Anton would need to cast the same spell on him.

“Don’t you know the spell?” Anton asked the elf tactlessly.

The question only made Mironor smile.

Thankfully, Mironor was mature enough to understand that he was guiding three young humans their age, with all the awkwardness and curiosity that came with it.

When Paul and Eric learned that they would be swimming deep beneath a legendary elven lake, their excitement reached its peak, especially after Mironor assured them that nothing dangerous could threaten them there.

Anton, however, was not worried. If any monster appeared that could harm his friends, he would simply eliminate it. Mironor noticed the silent confidence behind Anton’s gaze and understood exactly what he meant.

The group leisurely walked toward Lake Anormona. Along the way, Mironor continued doing his duty as their guide, explaining the sights and attractions they passed.

Some of the places they saw tempted the three youths enough that they wanted to stop and explore, but Mironor advised them that it would be better to enjoy those places after sunset. Once the sun began to set, visitors would be asked to leave the lake.

When they finally arrived at Lake Anormona, Paul and Eric audibly gasped.

Anton had to admit that the lake’s beauty was something that belonged in legends. The lake was surrounded by the most beautiful and colorful trees he had ever seen. Although the trees and flowers appeared naturally wild, he knew they were carefully maintained by the elves through magic.

Anton possessed some spells with similar abilities, which he had acquired from the forest elves in exchange for movies.

Even though it was only mid-morning, the crystal-clear lake emitted a faint glow, as if moonlight was reflected within its depths.

“Even if we swim to the deepest parts of the lake, it will remain bright. A water dragon is living in its depths, but it is a benevolent creature that protects the islands from malevolent attacks. If you are lucky, the dragon may even speak with you,” Mironor explained.

The statement surprised and excited Anton. He had encountered dragons before, but those were the creatures found inside dungeons. Monsters within dungeons were not true living beings but mana constructs created by the dungeon itself.

The three saw countless glittering fish swimming through the lake. They looked like precious gems moving through the water. In truth, the fish did not inspire hunger in anyone who saw them. Instead, they created a feeling of appreciation for something truly beautiful.

They also saw elves swimming in the lake, with both men and women present. The three young men were delighted that despite Mironor’s warning about modest swimwear, the elves were still showing a considerable amount of skin.

The elven women wore two types of swimsuits: one-piece and two-piece bathing suits, which were surprisingly similar to what Earthlings wore when visiting beaches or swimming pools. The elven men wore regular swimming trunks that revealed their lean and tall physiques.

Anton thought the only major difference between the elves’ swimwear and those from Earth was the material used to create them.

Before arriving at the lake, Mironor had taken them to a shop that sold clothing suitable for swimming there, so the three of them had swimming trunks as well.

Mironor then led them to a public bathing area, where they showered and ensured their bodies were completely clean.

After they finished bathing and changed into their swimwear, they finally entered the lake. The three of them attempted to approach some of the elven women, but the women only laughed and ran away from them.

Disappointed, Anton cast the Underwater Breathing spell on himself, Paul, Eric, and Mironor. The four of them then entered the lake and began swimming.

They first stayed near the surface to adjust themselves. The water truly felt magical to Anton. It felt as though he was swimming in the mana water that he could create.

Unlike his mana water, whose magical properties only lasted for two hours after being created through his spell, the lake’s magical properties appeared to be permanent.

Anton was grateful that although the magical properties of his mana water only lasted a few hours, the effects it provided were permanent. Still, this proved that his mana water was not unique and that similar things existed throughout the world.
