Chapter 930
Chapter 930
Anton wasn’t surprised when, during the first few hours, the old wizard who had introduced himself as Invincible Norberto discussed almost everything that had happened to him since the beginning of his journey from his home village in Rendindura, all the way to when his family reached Ormunda and the Undead Coalition was defeated by the allied wizards of the Gale and Rendindura continents.
They had essentially dug up everything about him, including things Anton didn’t consider relevant, such as his trading movies with the forest elves and the elves of Meronoma.
Even his journey through the Northern Forest and all the way to the Northern Kingdom of Enundia was discussed by the wizard.
Anton was basically there to confirm whether the information in the report that Invincible Wizard Norberto was holding was accurate. He also had to provide some of the information that was missing from his file.
There was a brief moment when Anton wondered whether he should be offended by the invasion of his privacy, but after thinking about it, he realized that he really didn’t care.
He had done nothing he was ashamed of, and most of the things he had done in the past were already known to many powerful people, including the wizards of Ormunda.
Anton felt that the first phase of the so-called final interview was simply Traveler’s Haven making sure that their profile of him was as thorough as possible.
He did have one major secret that he had been passing off as his family’s bloodline legacy magic.
Thankfully, his father and sister had access to his Diablo System, so it appeared that the magic he wielded really was a form of family bloodline magic.
It would have been suspicious if he had been the only person capable of wielding the supposed bloodline magic.
After several hours of confirming his history with the Traveler’s Haven wizard, they finally reached the part of the interview that Invincible Norberto told him would determine whether he would become a member of the organization.
First, Norberto was intensely curious about his supposed window to a dimension where the movies came from.
Anton admitted that a major reason for his desire to become a member of Traveler’s Haven was because of that window. He told the wizard that it had awakened a longing inside him to explore the multiverse.
Anton talked about the movies he had seen and explained that, because the multiverse was so vast, similar places and cultures might already exist somewhere.
For example, he talked about Star Trek, in which a civilization had advanced its technology to the point where it could travel from its home planet to nearby solar systems in spacecraft.
He told Norberto that he would love to experience traveling through space aboard a spacecraft, surrounded by a crew that would eventually become his family during his adventures.
Anton also talked about the Star Wars films and the battles between the Jedi and the Sith. He wondered if there might be a dimension where a similar war was taking place and admitted that he would love to see such a thing with his own eyes.
He talked about other movies he had seen and the possibility that similar kingdoms and cultures might already exist somewhere in the multiverse.
He wanted to find them.
Anton also mentioned that he wanted to reach the dimension where the movies came from. Their art had affected him so deeply that he couldn’t help but want to see that world for himself.
He hoped that Traveler’s Haven was an organization that could provide him with the skills necessary to become a true traveler.
Anton noticed that his final statement about becoming a true traveler brought a smile to Invincible Norberto’s face.
He suspected that he might have secured his membership in the organization.
After several more grueling hours, Invincible Norberto finally informed him that he had passed the interview.
Smiling, the old wizard welcomed him as a member of Traveler’s Haven.
Norberto told Anton that what had convinced him to accept him was his genuine desire to become a traveler. Even after everything Anton had experienced, the hardships had failed to extinguish his joy of exploration.
That made Norberto believe that Anton was truly suited to become a member of Traveler’s Haven.
After congratulating him, Norberto called for another wizard and assigned the man to Anton as a temporary guide.
The wizard’s job was to teach Anton the rules of the organization and help him understand what was expected of him as a member, at least until the orientation day arrived. At that point, Anton would formally be assigned to a higher-ranking teacher from the organization.
Anton was surprised to learn that he wasn’t allowed to leave Traveler’s Haven after passing the final interview.

He could only leave the organization once he became a Journeyman.
The wizard assigned to guide him was an Archmage named Oliver.
Oliver was a cheerful and talkative man who seemed incapable of stopping once he started talking.
Some people might have been annoyed by their guide’s chattiness, but Anton was actually glad. The amount of information pouring from the man’s mouth was helping him learn more about Traveler’s Haven.
As Oliver led him toward the place where he would temporarily stay until the orientation day, which was five days away, the Archmage explained that Novice was the lowest rank in the organization.
The next rank was Journeyman, and Anton could only advance to that rank once his teacher determined that he was ready.
“So there’s no actual threshold? The teacher assigned to me would simply decide that I’ve reached that rank?” Anton asked.
“I would have liked to say that was correct, but your teacher will have to teach you certain skills specific to Travelers. Once you’ve learned those skills, your teacher can determine whether you have reached the level required to become a Journeyman. Of course, it helps if your class or wizardry rank is high,” Oliver explained.
“I had already reached the Supreme Rank before the rebirth process,” Anton told him.
Oliver suddenly stopped walking and stared at Anton in shock.
“How old are you?” Oliver asked after a few seconds.
When Anton told him that he was twenty years old, he understood why Oliver was so surprised.
There were very few young men Anton’s age who had reached such a rank. Even though the rebirth process had stripped away his standard spells, regaining the rank he had possessed before the process would take him only a few weeks.
At least, that would have been the case for an ordinary wizard.
Anton thought that he didn’t even need to wait that long.
His rank depended on the power granted to him by his Diablo System, and he had never lost that power when he underwent the rebirth process.
More than likely, if he were tested with the crystal used to determine wizardry rank, it would show that he was already a Supreme Rank wizard, even though he was supposedly supposed to be a Novice Mage after undergoing the rebirth process.
Oliver resumed walking, and Anton followed him.
His guide explained that once Anton regained the same rank he had possessed before the rebirth process, he would be able to learn the skills and spells his assigned teacher taught him without much difficulty.
Because of that, Oliver was confident that Anton wouldn’t remain a Novice-Rank Traveler for very long.
They eventually reached the building where Anton was supposed to stay.
The building contained a number of large rooms. Each room had two beds and a bathroom, with a chest beside each bed where Novice-Rank Travelers could store their belongings.
Oliver told Anton to press his palm against the array beside the door and imprint it into the magic lock. That would allow him to enter the room.
“So I’ll have a roommate?” Anton asked.
“I would have said yes, but the acceptance rate for new members is low enough that most of the rooms here remain empty,” Oliver said, shaking his head.
That meant Anton would be the only person staying in the room.
