Flying Eagle spoke leisurely, eyes fixed on the octopus spirit’s reaction, but he held little hope in his heart.

He was even prepared for mockery, as such words seemed absurd and powerless in this life-and-death moment.

But then, the octopus fell silent.

The tentacles that were wildly thrashing about began to slowly retract, plunging the entire space into an eerie silence.

Flying Eagle noticed its movements and his body stiffened.

He couldn’t believe his eyes, filled with doubt and shock. Could this name really hold such immense power?

At this moment, the octopus spirit’s countless eyes shimmered with complex lights, as if pondering something.

Flying Eagle nervously swallowed, body taut, ready to deal with any possible changes.

Time seemed to freeze, each second dragging on endlessly.

Flying Eagle’s heartbeat was exceptionally clear in the silence, and his breaths became hurried.

Finally, the octopus spirit broke its silence, its voice deep and husky, filled with endless anger and resentment. "Ha, this hand reaches too far!"

"Can she not feel my presence in this territory, yet she dares invade?" The octopus monster’s voice grew louder, causing the entire space to tremble slightly.

Its countless eyes flashed with angry lights, which seemed to burn everything away.

He didn’t want to fight Ding Ning; if it wasn’t necessary, he wouldn’t want to fight any Lord now.

Now it was a matter of who would strike first, who would be the mantis, who the cicada, and who the oriole.

But he was so vexed at how things went awry when he emerged.

He initially encountered a group of people on the way and wanted to indulge himself.

But sensing Ding Ning’s presence, he reluctantly gave up.

That craving was forcibly suppressed, which made him even more irritable.

Now he found a territory resonating with his presence, yet this person is shielded by Ding Ning.

They were only out for a few days, yet it seemed the outside world has changed?

Where else in this outside world hasn’t been tainted by Ding Ning?

Flying Eagle only saw him speaking tough, but no further actions taken.

His heart remained in his throat, eyes unblinkingly focused on the octopus monster, not daring to relax even a bit.

The octopus monster also knew that within the human territories, distinctions weren’t made; it was all about what one could claim through their own prowess.

This was the unspoken rule before their arrival, first fight for the Land of No Master, then for territories with masters.

Everyone tried to enhance themselves rather than fight, allowing other Lords to benefit.

Since this person invoked Ding Ning’s name, regardless of whether he opened an exit, it belonged to Ding Ning.

Because without establishing an exit, it could be part of Ding Ning’s plan, and acting forcefully equals to declaring war.

That crazy woman had become unpredictable.

Her intentions were growing increasingly inscrutable, her methods more ruthless and incisive.

If it were other Lords, they might not wage war over this, but with that mad woman, anything was possible.

Since developing feelings for a human, she had changed.

In a moment, Flying Eagle felt darkness receding gradually from the room. It retreated like a tide, bringing a faint glimmer of light.

He gasped heavily, the tension subside.

Even though it was merely the darkness withdrawing, it felt like he had gone through life and death, his whole body as if fished out of water.

Sweat drenched his clothes, hair clung damply to his scalp, eyes full of post-crisis relief and exhaustion.

He picked up his phone, fingers trembling as he dialed his daughter’s number.

When Flying Tiger saw the incoming call, tears instantly overflowed.

Her trembling hand answered the call, even as they were still on the road, but she knew her father had just traversed a life-or-death ordeal.

"Safe now!" His voice was full of relief and excitement.

"Naming really worked." Flying Eagle spoke with gratitude.

"Dad, rest well first, we’re coming right over." Flying Tiger wiped the tears from her face.

After hanging up, she turned and looked at Ding Ning next to her.

"Thank you!" She knelt before Ding Ning, knocking her forehead to the floor several times.

"Stand up quickly." Ding Ning helped her up from the ground, somewhat at a loss.

She looked at the girl in front of her, her face dirty, tears and dust mixed together, blurred.

She had only felt awe from these humans before.

Not close.

Not fear, just awe.

But this time, for the first time, aside from Jiang Che, she felt genuine sincerity from other people.

It was a heartfelt, unreserved sincerity.

"As friends, it’s only right." She smiled shyly.

That smile carried a hint of shyness, yet was exceptionally warm.

Flying Tiger also smiled, looking at the woman before her, smiling freely and boldly.

In that moment, she understood why Jiang Che would wholeheartedly place his heart with an evil spirit.

This wasn’t merely an evil spirit!

This was Jiang Che’s beloved, and also her own friend!

"Afterwards, I’ll organize a wedding for you." Flying Tiger announced loudly.

"Wedding?" Hearing this, Jiang Che was taken aback.

He had never thought of a wedding.

Because he had always considered Ding Ning his wife, never having thought they missed a wedding.

"Wedding?" Ding Ning also looked at her quizzically.

Flying Tiger smiled and nodded assertively.

"Yes, a wedding!"

"Marriage always involves a wedding, he certainly hasn’t given you one, let him make it up to you!" she said, pointing at Jiang Che, her voice full of reproach.

Jiang Che lowered his head in thought, then nodded vigorously.

"I truly haven’t given you a wedding." After a moment of mental chaos, his mind became clear.

The family portrait in his mind suddenly became indistinct, and shortly after, a new photo frame appeared beside it.

In the frame were two people, one being him, the other Ding Ning.

But the two in the photo had faces but no bodies.

This photo was missing a wedding dress.

Ding Ning pursed her lips, curiously looking at the phone Flying Tiger handed her.

She showed her some sample images of weddings.

In the pictures, the couple walked hand in hand down a path strewn with petals, the sunset’s glow draping the couple in a golden veil.

"In our weddings here, all friends and family are invited to extend their blessings and celebrate the newlyweds."

Flying Tiger watched as Ding Ning seriously browsed the photographs.

This wasn’t the Evil Spirit Lord, this was clearly a young woman discovering love!

The three of them looked at the pictures while on their journey; since she knew her father was safe, she slowed down.

"So many kinds, these outfits." Ding Ning said as she looked at the pictures, momentarily unsure what to choose.

"Then take pictures of them all." Flying Tiger laughingly suggested as she watched her earnestly selecting.

"Can we capture them all?" Ding Ning asked, her surprise evident.

"All of them! Even some with a spooky style."

Flying Tiger laughed, wedding between humans and evil spirits, where’s the limitation of black spooky styles?!
