Chapter 43: Crystabel has lost everything
Crystalbel immediately spotted Logan, and as soon as she did she came running towards him and Stephanie.
Almost immediately she reached, she immediately crouched down on his foot.
As a content-hungry freak Evelyn was, she immediately turned the camera towards the situation and calmly zoomed in to catch the activity clearly for her audience.
By this time everyone in the restaurant was already completely indulged in the event unfolding. Even the security had already gotten ready and on standby to throw her out if at all she tries to cause some nuisance. Even Logan’s own bodyguards had already become alert to the current situation.
"Logan, please, I’m so sorry. Please, I am really, really sorry. I promise I would never do such again. Please.
I don’t want to cause my family their whole investments. Please, Logan, please, I am begging you. I would do anything.
I really didn’t know you were the one. How naive and stupid I was. Please, I’m so sorry for whatever I did. Please," she pleaded with tears flooding out of her eyes.
She was even clutching Logan’s legs very tightly, wetting it with her tears.
But Logan still remained calm.
He was not sure what her aim was yet, and even if she was indeed genuine, he couldn’t in any way at all ascertain that and would not even like to take the risk.
At this point his guards scattered all around the restaurant were just waiting for one word from him.
That was definitely all it would really take for them to actually show themselves, but Logan didn’t give them the go-ahead, so they stayed put.
"I forgive you, but I really don’t know what you’re talking about. And I’m also sorry about your family business, but I don’t possess such powers to either make or break a business.
I’m such a lowly college student," Logan immediately spoke, putting up a face of confusion.
Miss Stephanie kept looking at the two of them, a confused and very suspicious look playing on her face.
’I knew it. This girl is just being so delusional. I mean, who doesn’t know Logan in school? That guy who isn’t even capable of getting a decent meal from the cafeteria. Come on, give me a break,’ Evelyn thought as she zoomed in the camera even more to capture the entire scene.
Even switching seats to see if she could at least capture her face, because obviously if she wanted to make a fool of herself she would help her do just that.
After all, they were really not friends. She was just a little used to her simping for some type of acceptance.
Meanwhile, over at Logan’s table was just absolute chaos.
Logan was simply just looking at her.
Crystalbel immediately reasoned it out. Maybe Logan didn’t want his role revealed to the public.
I mean, what could she even do at that point? She couldn’t just give up and begin hoping for another chance to catch him alone.
Because of course she knew that the chances were as low as hell.
It was just not happening, so instead of doing that she immediately changed tactics to actually pleading for his words.
"Please, I know you know him. Just help me plead with him. My family is currently going to go into debt if you don’t do that. Please, I really need you to do this," Crystalbel kept crying as the security men finally decided to come in and pull her over and outside the restaurant.
With her still begging.
"Ooo my, what a mad woman. Probably looking for attention."
"Wow, things are really happening in this world of ours."
The comment sections of the stream had already gone haywire.
It was just so crazy.
But no one really knew who she was. After all, she really didn’t have a status in the social world to actually brag about or anything of that nature.
But if a group of people who knew her were in the class group—
Most of them have been silently watching Evelyn’s stream ever since and intentionally refused to bring about anything regarding it in the group chat. After all, nobody really wants to be in the wrong.
After all, it turned out that Evelyn was wrong, and even if someone came out to speak on it, it might even anger her, so the topic wasn’t just spoken about entirely.
It was really, really crazy to say.
No one wanted to get on the bad side of someone as rich and privileged as her.
But now it was Crystalbel, and every single person wanted to jump on it. After all, it was a way to gain popularity and pass boredom.
That was just the irony of life, and no one could change it by any means.
"Wow, what’s that simp doing there?"
"Na fam, anyone that isn’t on Evelyn’s stream this night is really missing a lot, ngl."

The comments kept flooding in like rain.
Soon everything settled down again in the restaurant and everyone continued eating like nothing had just happened, but Evelyn was already tensed, her cheeks turning red.
If someone could be humiliated so much for doing that, then what would have....
Evelyn couldn’t even begin to imagine the rest, because she had planned to cause such a scene while begging them. The plan was simply so they would reject and tell her to leave or say something harsh, not knowing that they are going to be that calm.
For the record, if Crystalbel hadn’t just entered now, that would have literally been her over there.
But now she knew better.
Looking back at her stream, she had already hit 10 million views. Many people were already throwing in gifts, waiting for her to go and apologize.
At this point it was like those generic ads on TikTok, probably with a heading that says
"Watch me stream to the end and I would apologize to a trending figure." After all, no one at the moment could get enough of Stephanie. She was the trending shit right now.
But Evelyn still had a plan up her sleeves, and for sure this time around it was surely going to work.
Thanks to Crystalbel, she even had a better way to approach them.
"Alright guys, that was really wild, you must agree.... Oh well, I think it’s time to give you guys what you want. Let’s walk up to them, a little scared that they would not take my apology, but I really do hope they see how genuinely sorry I am," Evelyn said to the stream as she gradually began walking towards Logan’s direction.
