Chapter 754: I Haven’t Forgiven You
Chapter 754 -505: I Haven’t Forgiven You
In front of the vanity, Jiangg Ning rummaged through her collection of bottles and jars for some time before finally pulling out an oval-shaped box containing a face mask. Without sparing Chen Yuan a glance, she began to diligently hydrate her skin. The sound of her hands patting her cheeks, PAT PAT, was distinctly clear in the bedroom. Chen Yuan lay on the bed, resting his chin in his hands as he admired her.
After a moment, he sat up and crossed his legs.
Since the vanity was very close to the wall, Jiangg Ning had to lean in to see herself clearly. As she bent forward toward the mirror, her loosely wrapped bath towel slipped down a little.
From Chen Yuan’s perspective, the pale curve of her cleavage was clearly visible.
He admired the sight in silence for a long while, mentally comparing the two sisters’ figures. After a moment, his imagination running wild, he began to feel a certain pressure building.
In his head.
Chen Yuan hadn’t spoken for a while, and Jiangg Ning was so immersed in her skincare routine that she had almost forgotten he was there. When she finally noticed, she shot him a surprised glance.
‘Strange. Why is he being so quiet? It’s like someone hit his mute button.’
A moment later, she noticed where he was looking.
Jiangg Ning instinctively glanced down at her own chest.
“What are you looking at?” Annoyed and embarrassed, she turned slightly to the side and shot Chen Yuan a glare.
“I’ve never seen you pat your face like that before,” Chen Yuan said, suppressing the fire within him as he changed the subject. “A new step in your skincare routine?”
“Yeah. I have this mud mask I bought ages ago and never used. It’s great for exfoliating and getting rid of oil, but it’s super absorbent, so you have to hydrate your skin first.”
As she spoke, Jiangg Ning opened the small, oval-shaped box.
She showed it to him.
Sure enough, the mask box contained a lump of deep green, almost black, mud-like paste.
Jiangg Ning scooped out a small amount and began spreading it across one of her cheeks, using the pads of her fingers to smooth it into an even layer.
She had just finished covering half her face when she turned to Chen Yuan and said impatiently, “Aren’t you leaving yet?”
“Where would I go? This is my room, and I’m sleeping here tonight.”
“You’re not sleeping in here,” she said coolly.
“I’m sleeping right here. I’m already all settled in. Ahh, it’s so comfortable under these covers…”
Jiangg Ning shot him a sidelong glance but didn’t say anything else.
‘He’s determined to stay, so there’s no point in arguing. Besides,’ Ningning thought, ‘it seems like the colder I am to him, the more he enjoys it.’
‘I can’t let him get what he wants…’
‘I’m still mad at him, after all.’
“At least go take a shower first, okay?”
“Alright, alright, I’ll go take a shower.”
Chen Yuan scrambled up immediately. After pestering her for so long, he’d finally heard her soften her tone. He happily hopped out of bed, stripped off his clothes in a flash, leaving on only his boxers, then wrapped a towel around his waist, slid on his slippers, and headed out.
“Hey, when I get back, can you put some of that mask on me? I feel like my skin could use some—”
Chen Yuan had just stepped out into the hallway and was turning back to talk to Jiangg Ning.
But he was met with the sight of Ningning, who had at some point stood up from the vanity and was now scurrying toward him in a panic.
He froze for a second.
By the time he realized what she was about to do, it was too late.
SLAM—
A strong gust of wind hit him in the face, and Jiangg Ning’s figure vanished as the door closed.
He was shut out of the room.
“What’d you shut the door for? I have to come back after my shower! Ningning… Ningning!”
His muffled voice reached Jiangg Ning’s ears from the other side of the door.
She pressed her lips together, but the corners of her mouth curled up uncontrollably. Her beautiful eyes curved into crescent moons as she fought back a smile.
“You want to come back in? Dream on.”
Jiangg Ning then flipped the lock on the door, secretly thrilled that her little prank had succeeded. She walked back to her vanity with a light spring in her step.
…
“When did she learn all these little tricks from Jiangg Yao?” he muttered to himself.
He couldn’t just stand here in the hallway shirtless.
Looking at the closed door, he wasn’t angry or annoyed. He simply turned and headed for the bathroom.
…
Soft light filled the room.
After a good while, Jiangg Ning finally finished her skincare routine. A glance at the clock told her it was already ten-thirty, so she pulled back the covers, ready for bed.
She switched on the bedside lamp and picked up the book from her nightstand, planning to read for a little while before sleeping.
As she lifted the covers, something felt unusually heavy. A dark, rectangular object was flung into view.
Jiangg Ning took a closer look and realized it was Chen Yuan’s phone.
‘He didn’t even take his phone…’
She reached for it, and the screen lit up, displaying a stream of messages from Jiangg Yao and notifications from other apps.
Jiangg Ning only glanced at it before putting it down.
‘It wasn’t that she didn’t want to look; she just wasn’t willing to pry into Chen Yuan’s privacy like this. Even in a relationship, Jiangg Ning believed, you should give each other space.’
‘Love and trust are built from within, not through control.’
However, after a moment’s thought, Jiangg Ning picked up the phone again and tried the passcode.
The four-digit passcode was simple: the sisters’ birthday, August 26th. Jiangg Ning opened the chat app and sent Jiangg Yao a voice message.
“He’s in the shower. He didn’t take his phone.”
After that, she tossed the phone aside.
…
KNOCK KNOCK—
Chen Yuan, shirtless and with soaking wet hair, knocked on the door.
“Ningning, you can’t just leave me standing in the hallway. It’s the middle of the night, let me in.”

After a moment, a cold voice drifted from inside the room.
“Go find Jiangg Yao.”
“No way. My clothes are still in there. At least let me get dressed.”
“I can hand them out to you,” Jiangg Ning answered through the door, “along with your phone.”
“Oh, right, I forgot my phone too. So, are you going to open the door and hand them to me?”
On her side of the door, Jiangg Ning hesitated for a moment before picking up Chen Yuan’s clothes, moving to the door, and unlocking it.
The next second.
The instant she opened a crack in the door, Chen Yuan pushed with all his might.
With her slight build, she stood no chance. She was instantly thrown back, offering almost no resistance.
Chen Yuan deftly slipped inside, kicked the door shut, and immediately closed in on Ningning, trapping her in the narrow space between the door and the wall. He loomed over her, looking down.
Jiangg Ning’s beautiful eyes shimmered, and she hadn’t yet recovered from the shock, simply staring at him in a daze.
Chen Yuan was fresh from the shower, his healthy, fair skin flushed with a faint pink. Wet strands of hair clung to his forehead. His handsome features looked even more striking in the dimly lit bedroom, with half of his face cloaked in shadow.
He had Ningning pinned against the wall.
His chest was bare, and beads of water trickled down from his shoulder.
The fresh, clean scent from his body, mixed with his own masculine aroma, made Jiangg Ning’s heart involuntarily beat a little faster.
She bit her lip.
Seeing Ningning’s innocent, rabbit-in-the-headlights expression, Chen Yuan found her incredibly cute. He lowered his head, his face drawing closer and closer.
Her mind went blank. A moment later, a pair of soft lips gently pressed against hers.
Ningning’s eyelashes fluttered as she blinked.
“Let’s go to sleep, sweetheart. We haven’t had a night alone together in a long time.”
“But I haven’t forgiven you yet…”
It was a protest, but her voice was so soft it lacked any real conviction.
And then,
Chen Yuan suddenly scooped her up by the waist and tossed her onto the bed.
