Chapter 119: Re-registration
After leaving Marina to rest following almost an entire night of activity, Kaiser logged out of the Cosmic World and returned to the real world. Now, he wanted to bring his parents into the Cosmic World with him.
When he came downstairs, he found his parents sitting together and watching television. Kaiser walked over and sat down beside them.
"Mom, Dad, my friend made something that should be very useful for both of you."
His parents looked at him curiously.
"What is it?" his father asked.
Kaiser took out two Contract Summoning Magic Scrolls.
"These are Contract Summoning Magic Scrolls. Once someone binds themselves to one, another person who possesses the corresponding scroll can summon them directly to their location."
His mother looked at the scroll with interest.
"Does that mean you can summon us to you?"
Kaiser nodded.
"Exactly. I want both of you to bind yourselves to these scrolls. That way, I can bring you into the Cosmic World whenever necessary."
He paused before adding, "Once you’re there, I can also help both of you level up safely. With my Death Transfer skill, I can transfer any fatal injuries you receive to one of my undead. As long as I have enough undead under my control, you won’t have to worry about dying from ordinary accidents or battles."
His parents exchanged a glance before nodding.
"Alright," his father said. "Let’s do it."
Kaiser handed them the two scrolls.
His parents activated the Contract Summoning Magic Scrolls one after another. Golden magic circles appeared beneath them as the contracts were established.
Once the process was complete, they handed the scrolls back to Kaiser.
Kaiser stored both scrolls in his inventory.
"Good. Now I can summon either of you to my location whenever needed."
His parents nodded.
"So, we’re going to the Cosmic World now?" his mother asked.
"Yes," Kaiser replied. "I’ll summon you both once I’m there."
The three of them returned to their rooms.
After making sure everything was ready, Kaiser sat down and activated the Cosmic System.
His consciousness slowly separated from his body as the familiar sensation of entering the Cosmic World spread through him.
His parents also activated their systems at the same time.
A few moments later, all three of them disappeared from the real world and entered the Cosmic World.
Kaiser glanced at Marina, who was still resting on the bed after the previous night’s activities. He decided it would be better to book another room for himself.
He left the room, booked a separate room at another hotel, and then took out the Contract Summoning Magic Scrolls to summon his parents.
Meanwhile, his parents had logged into the Cosmic World from different locations. They had both appeared inside rooms they had previously booked, but since they had been offline for almost ten years, those rooms were no longer available to them and had been occupied by new residents.
Both of them quickly apologized and made up an excuse.
"Sorry, there seems to have been a malfunction with our teleportation scroll."
They quickly left the rooms before anyone could ask further questions.
A moment later, another magic circle appeared beneath them.
The summoning effect activated, and both of them disappeared.
The next second, they reappeared beside Kaiser.
"Mom, Dad!"
Kaiser smiled as he looked at them.
His parents looked around in amazement.
"What a marvelous thing" he said in awe.
He then turned toward Kaiser with a serious expression.
"Kaiser, don’t tell anyone about that scroll. Something this useful could easily attract unwanted attention."
Kaiser nodded.
"Don’t worry. Only you, Mom, my friend, and I know about it."
His father nodded in satisfaction.
"Good. Then let’s sit down and discuss what we’re going to do here."
"What’s there to discuss? You two should just go and get your adventurer cards re-registered. They might have expired after all this time."
His father took out his old B-Rank Adventurer Card and looked at it.
"You’re right."
His mother also checked her own card.
"Mine too."
"It’s fine. Just tell them that you fell ill and Mom had to take care of you. That should be enough."
His parents nodded, and the three of them headed toward the Adventurer Guild.
As they walked through the city, his father looked around with a frown.
"Why does this city have so many powerful people?"
He looked around again.
"There are barely any ordinary people here."
"Well, this is a fortress city. It’s the first line of defense against the monsters coming from the northern mountains."
Kaiser pointed toward the massive walls surrounding the city. Numerous adventurers and soldiers had gathered near the gates, preparing for their duties.
His parents nodded.
"I guess they must always be in need of healers," his mother said. "I could work here for the time being."
Kaiser shook his head.
"It’s okay. Just follow me. We can simply go into the mountains, level up, and leave whenever we want."
His mother nodded.
"I suppose that’s easier."
Kaiser then remembered something.
"I’ve also booked a slot for both of you. You can take the class trial and obtain your classes."
His father looked at him.
"Class trials? You mean the ones controlled by the Storm Wing Guild? The guild your friend Alex’s father built?"
Kaiser nodded.
"Yes. I was the one who discovered that place, so technically it belongs to me. However, I gave it to the Storm Wing Guild to manage."
He took out his phone and showed them the information.
"See? I receive daily royalties from them."
His father looked at the figures and nodded.
"That’s quite a good source of income."
Kaiser smiled.
"I’ve also booked a class trial for both of you. I’ll help you both level up. And then you can just focus on completing the class trials next day."
His father nodded.
"Alright."
His mother also agreed.
"Okay, then."
The three of them soon arrived at the Winter Hold City Adventurer Guild.
Inside, Kaiser approached the same female receptionist who had assisted him before.
