Chapter 79: Glacial Wyvern King
Back in the original world, Kaiser and his group had already made their way through the Winter World Dungeon.
After defeating the remaining two Ice Wyverns, they finally reached the location of the final boss.
Kaiser stopped as he looked across the massive frozen valley.
At the center of the valley stood a huge figure.
It was the Glacial King Wyvern.
The creature was more than three times larger than the Ice Wyverns they had fought earlier.
Its enormous body was covered in thick, icy-blue crystal scales that reflected the light from the surrounding ice.
Large crystal formations extended from its back, wings, and tail.
Its four legs were thick and powerful, while its massive wings were large enough to cover a large portion of the frozen valley when fully spread.
Kaiser used Mana Sense to examine it.
The amount of Ice Mana surrounding the creature was enormous.
It felt as if the entire dungeon’s Ice Mana was being drawn toward the wyvern.
Kaiser looked at its powerful body.
"That thing is huge."
Marina nodded.
"The difference between it and the other wyverns is too large."
Kaiser looked at the creature’s head.
The Glacial King Wyvern possessed sharp horns and a pair of long fangs.
Its eyes were a deep icy blue, and its gaze alone made it clear that this was not an ordinary monster.
It carried a powerful presence that was similar to what Kaiser had felt from dragons.
Although the creature was still only at the Lesser Dragon stage, its bloodline was clearly much stronger than that of an ordinary wyvern.
Kaiser checked its level.
"Level 100."
He looked at his own status.
He had finally reached Level 100.
Marina had also reached Level 100 after clearing the dungeon and hunting the monsters along the way.
Even Molten Slime and Grand Blood Warlock had reached Level 100.
However, Kaiser did not become careless.
"Everyone, get ready."
Marina immediately prepared herself.
The poisonous particles created from Nightshade Poison began gathering around her body.
She could use Atomizer to break the poison down into microscopic particles and freely manipulate them during the battle.
Grand Blood Warlock raised his hands.
Blood slowly gathered around his body.
Molten Slime also moved to the front.
Its body began releasing intense heat, causing the surrounding snow to melt.
Kaiser took out his weapon and looked at the Glacial King Wyvern.
Even though everyone on his side had reached Level 100, he knew that the battle would not be easy.
A dungeon boss was fundamentally different from the normal monsters they had fought.
The Glacial King Wyvern had a powerful bloodline, an enormous body, strong defensive scales, and complete control over the Ice attribute.
Kaiser did not intend to underestimate it.
"Molten Slime, take the front."
Molten Slime moved forward.
"Grand Blood Warlock, support it."
The undead nodded.
"Yes, Master."
Kaiser then looked at Marina.
"You stay near me and attack whenever you see an opening."
Marina nodded.
"Understood."
The Glacial King Wyvern slowly raised its head.
Its enormous wings spread across the valley.
A powerful wave of Ice Mana spread from its body.
The temperature immediately dropped.
The frozen ground beneath its feet began forming another layer of ice.
Kaiser narrowed his eyes.
"Looks like it noticed us."
The Glacial King Wyvern opened its massive jaws.
A deep roar echoed through the entire valley.
The surrounding mountains trembled slightly from the sound.
Kaiser raised his hand.
"Everyone, attack."
Molten Slime immediately charged forward.
"Rolling Charge!"
Its body compressed and transformed into a massive molten sphere.
It rushed across the frozen ground toward the Glacial King Wyvern.
Grand Blood Warlock followed behind.
"Bloodstorm."
A large amount of blood spread across the battlefield.
Marina activated Atomizer.
The Nightshade Poison she had brought with her broke down into microscopic particles and spread through the air.
Kaiser raised his hand.
"Death Bullet."
A black bullet formed between his fingers.
He fired it directly toward the Glacial King Wyvern.
The Death Bullet crossed the valley and struck the Glacial King Wyvern’s chest.
The black bullet exploded against its crystal scales, but the damage was much lower than Kaiser expected.
The wyvern only shook its body before looking toward him.
Kaiser frowned slightly.
"I expected its defense to be high, but this is still higher than I thought."
The Glacial King Wyvern spread its wings.
A huge amount of Ice Mana gathered around its body.
"Move!"
Molten Slime immediately changed direction.
A massive wave of ice shot across the battlefield.
The frozen ground rose into several enormous ice pillars.
Molten Slime barely avoided them before charging toward the wyvern again.
"Rolling Charge!"
Its body became a massive molten sphere and slammed into one of the wyvern’s front legs.
Boom!
The impact caused the Glacial King Wyvern’s leg to move slightly, but the creature remained standing.
It lowered its head and swung one of its massive claws.
Molten Slime quickly activated Molten Fortress.
Its body expanded and formed a large defensive structure.
The wyvern’s claw slammed into it.
The entire molten fortress was pushed backward across the ground.
Molten Slime’s body was heavily damaged, but its Extreme Regeneration immediately began repairing the damage.
Grand Blood Warlock moved in from the side.
"Grand Blood Lance!"
A massive blood lance appeared and shot toward the wyvern’s neck.
The Glacial King Wyvern turned its head and opened its mouth.
A stream of freezing energy struck the blood lance.
The blood immediately began freezing.
Grand Blood Warlock quickly canceled the attack before the freezing energy could reach him.
He then changed his approach.
"Bloodstorm."
Blood spread across the battlefield and began moving around the wyvern’s legs.
The Glacial King Wyvern tried to move, but the blood constantly followed it.
Kaiser raised his hand.
"Golden Bullet."
A golden bullet formed between his fingers.
He fired it toward the wyvern’s eye.
The Glacial King Wyvern quickly moved its head.
The bullet struck one of its crystal horns instead.
The horn cracked slightly.
Kaiser immediately fired another Golden Bullet.
Then another.
The wyvern protected its head with one of its wings.
Kaiser changed his strategy.
"Space Bullet."
A transparent bullet appeared.
Unlike the Golden Bullet, it did not travel through the air normally.
The space around it distorted as the bullet instantly crossed the distance between Kaiser and the wyvern.
