Whatever it is, we decide to head to the Royal Palace to finish our top priority first.

It is only then that we take to the headquarters of the Sundial Chamber of Commerce and Adventurers Guild, or have Garnett guide us through the King's Capital.

If you leave the separate residence of the Argentian family, located in a luxury residential district, and look towards the central hill of the Wang capital, that's all you can see about the various buildings of the Royal Palace.

"There's a high ground, it's easy to defend, there's a big river, it's easy to transport. Kingsville feels like a thriving city."

While walking down the boulevard to the hill, Garnett brought his leisurely chatter.

"Right. I hear the streets all over the country eventually lead to the Wang Capital, and I'm convinced it's the best city on the continent. You're not going to be able to go around in a day or so."

"Ha! I can't! Wouldn't it take a year just to walk around from corner to corner?

I was just going to say back that it would be a big deal, but given the extensive density of the big buildings, maybe it's not excessive though.

"It's time for your first interrogation, so get ready."

The hills where the royal palace is situated are surrounded by walls.

Many paths continue from downtown and residential areas, but they are all once blocked by the castle gates, and gatekeepers have to pass surveillance to climb the hills.

But it's not even a problem for us.

Garnett would be enough if he revealed the identity of the knight, and I would have a letter from the royal palace that would be like a permit.

It passes through the castle gate so lightly that it becomes anxious to reject it, and climbs a beautifully paved snug slope.

"From here on out is where the nobles have their homes when they spend time in the king's capital. Knights are down the hill, nobles are up the hill."

"Leading knights are more powerful than half-breed aristocrats, but still?"

"It's nominally positioned further down than the bottom of the aristocracy, trying to go beyond the bad aristocracy with money and power. I'm sorry, but it's funny how the Baron is way above us."

From Garnett's narrative, I get the impression that I don't feel any backward emotions, such as disgust, and that I'm joking and talking about natural facts.

It still seems like a matter for Garnett that the institutional class doesn't reflect the actual power relationship, nor is it worth caring about.

Well, in the first place, I didn't think Garnett was the guy to be aware of that.

While I'm thinking about that, I climb up a loose slope and get to the front of the royal palace.

"... it's even more amazing when you look close..."

A palace to show castles and beauty for war - a grand palace that brilliantly aggregates those functions.

All I can think of is terrible clichés because I've seen something too awesome.

"That's where the champion of the Westland continent lives..."

"No, Your Majesty doesn't live here."

Next to me, who even remembered to be touched, Garnett said that lightly.

"Oh, this is the royal palace, isn't it?

"Yeah, but they say they're too overcrowded to be comfortable or something, and they're usually in the same neighborhood as the nobles over there. So, I'm working at the Royal Palace for the executive branch or something."

Garnett pointed to the area he had just passed as he turned under the hill.

If you look again, there's a bigger building around than the rest of the mansion, sitting along the road we took.

I guess I couldn't notice earlier because the size of the part facing the road is no different from other mansions.

"And this guy is just a rumor, at first, that he was stopped at all costs trying to build a house under the hill"

"... I feel it's possible"

True or false is unknown, but if true, it is an episode that sounds like His Majesty Alfred.

His Majesty Alfred acted as an adventurer until more than twenty years ago and was named his successor by the King of the Country, who became the archetype of the Kingdom of Westland, and took office twenty years ago from now, after a period of constant preparation.

That's how I became king, so it's not surprising that the luxurious and rugged palace I took over from the previous king didn't suit my skin.

"Does this mean this palace is purely a government for national politics?"

"Right. For once, they'll be staying in when they're busy. Officials and minister nobles live on this hill, so it's gonna be a great sight every morning."

Garnett is right, it seems quite promising to see enough nobility in line to work at the Royal Palace to be involved in national politics.

While updating his knowledge of the royal palace, he enters the site through the entrance for visitors provided at the fence-proof edge surrounding the palace and enters the royal palace through the corner of a well-maintained garden.

Throughout that time, we heard the severity of the Royal Palace's security as a group of five soldiers followed us.

"By the way, these are the Knights of the Dragon King. Only one of the leaders is a knight and the rest is a soldier under his command, but even that soldier is stronger than me."

I've been whispering in my ears so that Garnett can even tell a delightful story.

The Dragon King Knights are Kingsguards under His Majesty the King.

It is only natural that they should be responsible for the security of the Royal Palace.

"Are you that strong?

"If it's strength per person, it's definitely the strongest in all the Knights. Well, a handful of elites, so the whole legion's better off with golden fangs."

I mean, I almost got thrown into a place like that.

I realize once again that I'm glad the conditions didn't fit.

The guards lead the way… or continue walking in the lavish hallway under surveillance, eventually being invited into an office room in one of the royal palaces.

Waiting for us there was a small aristocracy of wind such as whether to plug into old age soon.

"Welcome, Mr. Luke from the White Wolf Forest. I've already heard the case. I hear you brought a response to His Majesty's suggestion. Let me ask you something."

"Yes, I know I would like to accept your proposal to establish a new Knights Order, which I gave His Majesty."

"Young people still have to be ambitious. Your Majesty will be delighted."

The nobleman nodded deeply as he sat down in a luxurious looking chair.

All I had to say was one word, but I felt quite tired because of the tension.

When I turned to Garnett to pull him up for now - for some reason Garnett was staring at that nobleman with an eye to see something incredible.

"... Garnet?

"Duke of Kingswell. Are you working on this case? No way, like then..."

"Technically one of them, though. Three dukes, including myself, are involved in preparing for the establishment of the new Knights. Don't get me wrong, I'm in a position to welcome the establishment of the new Knights."

Garnett whispered in an alarming voice, not knowing how they had had such a conversation and keeping their gaze back and forth.

"Minister who was the guardian of the valiant Falcon... in short, Teng himself who hung on you the suspicion of killing the valiant"

I turned to the old nobleman - the Duke of Kingswell.

The nobleman did not change one complexion and turned his words to me in a calm manner.

"Do you have a minute? This is a good opportunity. You should explain the situation without hiding it from me."

"Circumstances… Are you saying that there was a reason for the charge in the example"

"Rest assured. Just because you rolled in a good direction as a result theory, the motive is just ugly self-preservation. Rate me...... I don't need to change my perception of the man who made things go wrong for nothing. It has earned a reputation. But..."

The Duke of Kingswell took a serious look at my face - my right eye, to be exact - as he mocked himself for having trouble reacting.

"If you're going to hang out with that 'right eye' for a long time, I think it's worth listening to this old man's explanation."
