Obviously, a garnet of teasing attitudes invites me in the name of terribly hard to say no, and I walk down the mountain path inviting but still.

Its path leading to the back of the mountain, in contrast to the carefully maintained previous path, remains wild and rough.

But it is not so much a roadless road that weed-free areas are stretched along small luggage carriages, or traces of a person's life are left dark.

"It's been quite a while since you've been here. I remember coming here as soon as I started doing business over here, but not since then, huh?

After a short walk following the carriage, the trees that covered the perimeter suddenly decreased in number and went out into a beautiful open place.

It was a shining lake in the mountains.

Cloudless blue skies and lush mountains reflect on the crystal-clear lake surface, with breathtaking sights even just looking at it.

"When you came forward, did you get a request to repair the pier?"

"It looks like the guy caught in this lake for how much of the fish he uses at the Spring Leaf Pavilion. The fisherman's luggage carriage goes by every morning, so I guess he didn't grow grass just like that."

Garnett walked on the pier we [repaired] a long time ago and lowered his hips at the tip of it.

I sat next to it too and threw my legs out toward the water glittering in the sun.

I feel like it's going to reach the surface if I stretch my nail tips, but Garnett on the other hand is letting his legs hang around for the price.

"No, Ulysses guy, you said earlier that you were serving a 'boat' when fishing in a lake on the ground. Is that supposed to be about this lake?"

"Maybe. I don't hear that there are other lakes, and even if there were, this would be the closest place."

Speaking of other places where you're likely to be able to fish, it's probably some rivers that flow near Green Hollow, but that's just not big enough for a boat to float.

Whatever it is, it is a river that the children of the town can cross on foot from end to end.

"I've never done much fishing, but I'm pretty much a knight of the hobby."

"Oh, really?"

"It seems to be an epidemic since the continent was united. It used to be a hunt when it comes to the entertainment of knights and nobles, but it's no longer uncommon to be dispatched to land unsuitable for hunting when the Knights start taking on official duties..."

"... so he started fishing instead. That's funny."

The conversation that Garnett and I are having is a literal one that doesn't mean a lot.

There's no point in knowing, there's nothing to gain from what I've told you.

But I'd rather have that.

Murder your time feeling each other's presence instead of exchanging information for a reason etc... just this much was more comforting than anything else.

"No, I told you earlier that your contents haven't changed. But I think I've changed a lot."

"Oh, I can see that somehow. You were a pretty shitty kid when we first met."

"Chi. Not that way."

Garnett leaned over here for just one fist, whilst distorting his expression at random.

And as he openly swims his gaze, he splashes his legs firmly over the water, blurring and starts whispering.

"I used to just think about taking revenge on my mother anyway, and after I even fulfilled that, I felt like being a wild mountain. Now, there are a few things... that I want to settle quickly and then think of as you..."

"Oh, isn't it Garnet to Lord Luke!

"Whoa, whoa!?

Because of the abrupt call from behind, Garnett rushes to fall into the lake.

I held Garnett's body in my arms and turned to the Lord of voices standing on the shore edge of the pier.

"Oh, I'm surprised. What is it, Sakura? What's going on here?

Lift up the light body of the garnet and let it sit back, then rise off the edge of the pier and head towards Sakura.

If we had stayed so far apart, we wouldn't have heard Garnett whining at all.

Instead, you didn't even know if we were having a conversation.

So when you do this, you don't panic, you don't make a scene, and suddenly you're surprised because you're called out loud. If you behave with your body, you won't feel any discomfort.

"I thought I'd let you work out swordsmanship as well. There aren't many people here after noon, so you can wave your sword."

"Sure don't ask, 'If you want to fish, I'd prefer a cool time in the morning or evening'. It's hot in the middle of the day and the fish don't want to move."

"You're familiar with it. So, does Lord Luke have any business?

"No, it's just a walk. It's been a long time since I've had a whole day off, so I thought I'd walk around somewhere I wouldn't normally go."

Garnett, left at the tip of the pier, seemed to have been able to calm his breath while I was talking to Sakura, trying to mix himself into the conversation with a face that didn't eat anything.

"Self-training? Do you want me to go out with him?

"You just played with Chandlers. Next, I'm gonna blow some extraordinarily stained pills before [restoration]."

"Just kidding. Sorry, Sakura. I just got here flashy at the Knights headquarters, and they don't seem to be able to."

"I envy that. There is no more meaningful workout than working with the powerful."

Sakura did her hand to her mouth, chuckled and laughed, and turned to me again.

"Lord Luke. I'm not in a hurry, but I was wondering if you could take a moment to talk to me later."

"I don't mind... what's wrong with you?

"I'd like to speak with Lord Luke about the divine descent."

Behind the smile that came to mind when I said so, there were no more sincere and serious thoughts.

"... ok. You can come to us anytime after work."
