’Fuck, what do you even want?!’ Fredrinn cursed.
Just imagining a featureless face of Lust gave him the urge to pummel it right in.
[ smiles. The host looks good when he’s angry. He reminds it of some furious, ruthless sex. ]
[ continues. For answers, host needs to give it an IOU. Imagine it like a blank cheque. Of course, host wouldn’t be forced to harm himself or his lovers. ]
Fredrinn was stumped at the Lust’s mysterious and downright unsettling offer.
An IOU would be normal in usual cases, but this wasn’t usual. He was making a deal with a cardinal sin.
Who knows what goes in its mind?
But a single glance at the absurdly strong zombie in front of him made him realize that he didn’t have any better options either.
Lust had made it clear that it couldn’t care less about Fredrinn’s life. Not at his current level and strength, at least.
So there was no option of threatening the sin as it very well might let Fredrinn die alongside Jenny and others.
’FINE! You win, you hateful bastard! I really, really swear... just let me get my hands on you...’ Fredrinn cursed inwardly as he reluctantly agreed.

[ pouts before sighing. The entity in front of the host isn’t a zombie in the usual terms. Due to some errors during her transformation, she mutated into an immature, incomplete demon of the Succubus archetype. ]
[ continues. She possesses enhanced intellect, superior strength and the same thirst for human blood and flesh when compared to a zombie. Her Succubus genes are currently dormant. ]
’If she possesses the same thirst for human blood and flesh, then why in the hell is she saying I’m different and wants me as her partner? That makes no sense at all!’

’...’ Fredrinn grunted inwardly, glancing at the woman who was currently yawning and stretching her hands above her head.
Her wounds had already healed as she licked the blood off her lips.
From her expression, it wasn’t hard to guess that she was feeling bored and losing her patience.
’Hurry up and tell me, Lust. You promised to help in return for the IOU!’
[ grumbles, Yes yes. It suggests the host to open his status panel again. He will then understand. It now refuses to clear further doubts as the deal’s related questions has been answered. ]
Fredrinn quickly opened the status panel Lust was talking about.

He paused and blinked several times. He had skimmed over the part that read Apollo Hybrid. He figured it was something related to Apolasia, and it very well might be.
But... What even was it? Is that the reason that the woman considered him as different and capable of being her partner?

Fredrinn cursed under his breath and refocused onto the woman as he faked a smile and slowly moved closer.
"Partner? You want to be my partner?"
The woman blinked and stared back at him, her crimson, demonic eyes settling on his.
A small smile appeared on her lips as she nodded.
"Yes."
Fredrinn gulped slowly, looking backwards at Jenny and the other awakeners.
"What about these people? What do you want to do to them?" he asked, caution in his voice as there was no way he could trust an entity that Lust described as a ’demon’.

The woman blinked calmly, gently craning her neck sideways and glancing at the group of awakeners behind Fredrinn.
Her eyes flickered in recognition as she squinted at the humans.
Once she was completely certain, she straightened her back and turned to look back at Fredrinn.
"Kill. Eat. They mana. Make me powerful." She explained with a small shrug of her shoulders, like she couldn’t care less about the bunch of awakeners.
Aadav stepped backwards in fear from her words, his throat bobbing as he swallowed his saliva.
That freakishly strong monster just said that she wants to kill and eat them!?
What the hell?!
And why the fuck was she acting so nice to Fredrinn?! Was he a zombie in disguise?
Or did he have the ’Fanny Magnet’ cheat code activated in real life?!

Aadav kept stepping backwards and backwards, towards the Camry that was parked to the side.
Max and Jenny also stiffened from the woman’s cold declaration.
There was no doubt that she was serious about that. She really intended to kill them and then devour them!
Max wanted to raise his gun and empty all his magazines into her skull as a last ditch effort, but he hesitated after seeing what happened to Eddie.
Though, he promised himself that he will act on the plan if the woman actually attacks them.
Jenny on the other hand, felt conflicted.
When she gazed at Fredrinn’s back, she felt a strange sense of calmness, like he would protect her.
How? She didn’t know.
As for the woman wanting him as a partner, Jenny had no idea how that was possible.
She already had a feeling that Fredrinn wasn’t as normal as he pretended to be, but she still couldn’t place her finger on it.
Did he lie about losing memories? Or he was actually infected but somehow overpowered the infection and maintained his sanity, turning him into some sort of a hybrid between human and zombie?
’Lust, she wants to kill them all and I can’t accept that. I need voluntary thralls for your quest, you know? And if she is hellbent on killing most humans, how can I achieve that?’ Fredrinn intentionally worded his question in a way that it sounded like he only wanted to complete the quest.
