Chapter 69: I Want To Be Your Partner

[ hums. Who told the host that the voluntary thrall can only be a human? ]

Fredrinn paused.

He had never even considered the possibility that his partner could be non-human.

Especially when the requirement to turn someone into a voluntary thrall involved sex. Until now, he had naturally assumed that the person in question would have to be human.

His gaze slowly traveled over the gorgeous red-haired demon standing before him. Her skin was pale, carrying a faint greyish hue that only made her otherworldly appearance more pronounced.

Her curves were bountiful, and Fredrinn didn’t want to admit it, but the thin trail of blood trickling from her lips and disappearing into the curve of her neck was... hot.

’Lust... You named my partner as ’Voluntary Thrall’, does it mean that if I made her my voluntary thrall, she would listen to me?’ He gulped down his saliva.

[ smirks and affirms. ]

That was all the reason he needed.

Fredrinn met her crimson, seductive eyes, a faint smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. "I want to be your partner as well."

The woman blinked several times.

Then, a smile slowly blossomed across her lips as she stepped closer to Fredrinn, her presence alone making Max and Jenny instinctively take several steps backwards.

She paid no attention to the humans.

Instead, she reached out and pressed her hand against Fredrinn’s chest, her fingers resting over the faint, rhythmic pulsations of his heart.

She wasn’t being gentle or holding back in the slightest. Seemingly unfamiliar with how to undo the buttons, she simply used her long, sharp nails to slice them open one after another, before letting her hand settle against his bare skin.

Fredrinn sighed softly to her touch.

Her skin was cold to the touch, almost as though it belonged to a corpse rather than a living being.

Yet, the contrast between her frigid touch and the warmth of his chest felt strangely pleasant.

"You heart... beats." She murmured in a low voice as she blinked, looking upwards at him.

Her language was still rough around the edges, but Fredrinn understood her intent easily.

She was genuinely surprised that his heart was beating.

That realization immediately made him curious... Does her heart not beat?

But when he looked down at her chest, his mind couldn’t focus on anything other than the fact that her breasts appeared so plump and soft.

He subconsciously knew that if he tried to check her heartbeats in the same way as her, it would just be an excuse to test out the elasticity of her twin mounds.

He could feel the awkwardness in the air rising, behind him the awakeners as well as Charlie, everyone were looking at the woman and him with confusion and apprehension.

After all, why wouldn’t they?

Why was a zombie acting so chummy with a human like Fredrinn?

Fredrinn knew that he had to ’get physical’ with her to turn her into a voluntary thrall and then order her not to kill the humans in his group.

But, he couldn’t really do that here in front of so many people.

Even though he wasn’t worried about shame and he knew that the woman in front of him wouldn’t really care either, he still felt reluctant about it.

After all, if he made her his woman, he wouldn’t like any other man to see her in the way only he’s allowed to.

Fredrinn leaned closer, letting his warm breath flow onto her gorgeous face, his breath making her ears twitch as she stared at him quietly.

"Do you know somewhere where it would be just us?" He whispered.

The woman involuntarily gulped and nodded, her face emotionless but her body was reacting to his actions.

She removed her hand from his chest and casually grabbed a hold of his hand, stepping onto the floor with enough force that the asphalt cracked under her feet and she accelerated in another direction.

Fredrinn had to channel mana in his body just to keep up with her speed and strength.

He was surprised to notice that the two of them were now travelling in the direction of the car barrier, where countless human corpses were hung like trophies.

"WAIT! Fredrinn!!" Jenny screamed after him, making the woman freeze on her tracks as she glanced hatefully at the human who dared to disturb her.

She looked down at her heels and then back at Jenny, who was panting and staring in HER PARTNER’s direction.

That was the last nail in the coffin, as the woman quickly removed her heel and tossed it in her hand, getting ready to silence that human forever.

Jenny gasped and fell down on her buttocks from fear.

Fredrinn instantly held the woman’s hand who was about to throw the heel.

"Wait. This moment is ours, yes? Why bother wasting time on a human like her? Let’s just go?" He whispered into her ear, making the woman’s bloodlust stifle and get replaced with a happy smile.

"Oki." She nodded and casually wore the heel back on her feet, giving Jenny a last scornful glare before she resumed her journey towards the car barrier.

Jenny stared at Fredrinn and the woman in shock, her heart hammering against her ribs as she gasped.

She came so close to dying just because she shouted out.

"Jenny... There’s a problem... A big problem..." Aadav’s voice pulled Jenny out of her reverie as she turned to look at him.

He was standing near his Camry, his face ashen and devoid of any hope.

Right in front of his eyes, the large zombie horde that was tasked with blocking the retreat, no longer showed any restraint.

With the woman distracted, all the zombies began to advance... moving towards the remaining humans with nothing but murder on their minds.

***

Meanwhile, the woman finally stopped running.

On the other side of the wall built out of cars, she pressed Fredrinn against the hood of a car and leaned over him.

Fredrinn didn’t show any restraint either, as he wrapped a hand around her slender, slim waist.

Her one piece dress was hiking up to her thighs, exposing a black lacey panty underneath.

Fredrinn didn’t hold back and directly slid a finger between her thighs...
