"Who was the one who saved Uchiha Obito?"

Tsunade frowned slightly, thinking aloud. "And why does he have Wood Release? Under normal circumstances, Uchihas don’t awaken Wood Release."

Hiruzen’s eyes narrowed as a thought flashed through his mind. "Could it have been Danzo?"

Aside from an extremely rare natural awakening, Wood Release could only be obtained through the transplantation of Wood Release cells. Obito’s Wood Release was strong, but still far inferior to Kitazawa’s. It definitely wasn’t some ordinary mutation.

"It has nothing to do with Danzo."

Kitazawa shook his head, clearing the "scapegoat shadow" of suspicion.

"If it wasn’t Danzo... could it really have been Uchiha Madara?"

Jiraiya remembered Obito once claiming to be Madara and couldn’t help but ask.

"Impossible."

Hiruzen rejected the idea without hesitation. "There’s no way Madara escaped from the First Hokage’s hands."

"Izanagi," Kitazawa reminded them.

"What?"

Hiruzen, Jiraiya, and Tsunade all showed shocked expressions.

Izanagi—the ultimate ocular ninjutsu of the Uchiha clan. Even though it had long been forbidden, they all knew of it.

"No wonder."

Realization dawned on Tsunade’s face. "If Uchiha Madara planned all of this in advance, then it does make sense."

Jiraiya, Tsunade, and the others all nodded.

After all, this was Uchiha Madara—a monster who had brought an end to an era of chaos alongside Senju Hashirama.

"The situation is like this."

Starting from Madara’s faked death, Kitazawa calmly explained everything up to the Akatsuki’s Eye of the Moon Plan.

He left out only Black Zetsu and Otsutsuki Kaguya.

That part was simply too much. Telling them now would do nothing but deepen their fear and unease.

"As expected of Madara... he actually awakened the legendary Rinnegan."

Jiraiya couldn’t hide his astonishment.

"What’s even more terrifying is that he set all of this up over so many years, trying to gain a new life and dominate the entire Ninja World."

Hiruzen’s voice carried lingering dread.

To him, the Eye of the Moon Plan was nothing more than an attempt to seize control of the world. Once everyone fell into Madara’s genjutsu, their lives and wills would all be in his hands.

"Fortunately, Kitazawa is here."

Tsunade exhaled heavily, the fear in her chest finally easing.

Without Kitazawa, the Akatsuki would likely have gathered all nine Tailed Beasts by now. Madara would have been resurrected as the Ten-Tails’ Jinchuriki, and the Ninja World would have had no power left to resist.

"Kitazawa is now the second God of Shinobi."

Jiraiya sighed, but there was confusion in his eyes.

Logically, someone like Madara—a threat to the entire world—should have been defeated by the Child of Prophecy. So why was it Kitazawa?

"That’s how things stand."

Storing Obito’s corpse away, Kitazawa said, "I suggest we don’t make this public so as not to affect Konoha’s stability."

Hiruzen, Tsunade, and the others immediately understood.

He was talking about Kakashi and the Uchiha Clan.

If they announced that the masterminds behind the Nine-Tails’ attack and the Akatsuki were Uchiha Madara and Uchiha Obito... certain people would be put in an impossible position.

The Uchiha Clan in particular would face the suspicion and distrust of the village’s shinobi and civilians.

It couldn’t be helped—both Uchiha Madara and Uchiha Obito were Uchiha.

Who could guarantee a third Uchiha wouldn’t appear one day to bring disaster to Konoha?

"I agree with your suggestion," Hiruzen said with a nod.

If he were still Hokage, he would definitely be taking precautions against the Uchiha Clan again.

But now the Hokage was Kitazawa. With Kitazawa’s strength, he could suppress the Uchiha Clan easily if anything happened.

"Then we’ll announce that the Akatsuki was defeated by Konoha, and all members have been captured."

Kitazawa chuckled lightly.

"What do you plan to do with the seven tailed beasts?"

Jiraiya suddenly remembered and asked, "Are you going to return them to the other hidden villages?"

"We have to make them pay a price," Hiruzen said with a small smile.

After three Ninja World Wars, the major villages were burdened with blood feuds that couldn’t be reconciled.

He had no intention of just handing the Tailed Beasts back.

"And if they’re not willing to pay?" Kitazawa asked in turn.

"Tailed beasts are taboo to every major village. They’ll have to pay a price." Hiruzen’s tone was firm.

"Even so, we can’t push too far," Jiraiya said gravely. "If we trigger a Fourth Great Ninja War, the whole world will suffer, and the losses will outweigh the gains."

Kitazawa raised an eyebrow but said nothing more.

He knew words alone couldn’t change their way of thinking.

In that case, he would simply let the other villages be the ones to trigger the Fourth Great Ninja War.

Tsunade glanced at him subconsciously.

With what she knew of Kitazawa, he definitely wasn’t going to hand the Tailed Beasts back obediently.

Would he bleed them dry? Or fight the Fourth Great Ninja War?

"If we’re done here, I’m leaving. I’m retired now, after all."

Tsunade waved casually.

Whatever Kitazawa planned to do had nothing to do with her anymore—she was a retired Hokage.

"I’m also retired, so I won’t get in your way. I’m going back to teach at the academy. You can handle the rest yourselves."

Like Tsunade, Hiruzen left decisively.

"Looks like there’s nothing left for me to do either."

Jiraiya came back to his senses. "See you next time."

His figure vanished on the spot.

He planned to return to Mount Myoboku to consult the Great Toad Sage.

"They sure ran fast," Shizune muttered, a hint of sarcasm in her tone.

"Let’s go," Kitazawa said with a smile. "We’ve still got a lot of cleanup to handle."

He used the Flying Thunder God and returned to the Hokage Building with Shizune and Kurenai.

"You two talk; I’m heading back to my office."

With her usual awareness, Kurenai excused herself.

She was in charge of the Film and Television Division—this sort of cleanup had nothing to do with her.

"Shizune," Kitazawa instructed, "have the Engineering Department ninjas head out immediately and restore the battlefield."

"Understood."

"Keep the captured Akatsuki members locked up for now. When the time comes, have Pain persuade them to surrender.

"If they refuse to join the Anbu... kill them."

Most of Akatsuki’s members were rogue ninjas who killed without batting an eye.

If they couldn’t be used by Konoha, then there was no reason to let them live.

"What about Pain’s arrangements?" Shizune asked, nodding.

"Put him in charge of the Anbu," Kitazawa thought for a moment. "With him there, I can keep an eye on him."

"I understand. I’ll see to it right away."

Shizune turned and left, closing the door behind her.

Kitazawa took a deep breath.

Only now did he finally have time to check the system tasks he’d completed.

[Current Task: Capture Uchiha Obito.]

[Task Reward: Kamui.]

[Host has completed the task; reward issued. ]

A smile tugged at Kitazawa’s lips.

This reward was particularly generous—Dual Kamui.

Although both eyes possessed Kamui, their abilities were different.

The left eye’s Kamui was the technique from Kakashi’s Mangekyo Sharingan: it could forcibly warp a target at long range into another dimension and also allow the user to enter and exit that dimension themselves.

In the original story, Kakashi had used Kamui to tear off Deidara’s arm and the Gedo Statue’s arm.

The right eye’s Kamui came from Obito’s Mangekyo Sharingan.

Its greatest ability was the so-called "intangibility"—in essence, transporting parts of the user’s body into the Kamui dimension to let enemy attacks pass right through.

On top of that, it could also suck targets into the dimension and store ninja tools in advance for later use.

Its weaknesses were the five-minute time limit and the need to materialize when attacking.

But compared to its advantages, those drawbacks were negligible.

As long as the enemy didn’t know space–time ninjutsu, Kamui allowed its user to come and go as they pleased.

Dual Kamui, however, was on a completely different level.

First, the speed of self-teleportation and target transfer increased dramatically.

Second, Kamui could be used to continuously open spatial portals and travel to other dimensions.

The most outrageous part was that Dual Kamui could even contend with Otsutsuki Kaguya.

Kitazawa forcibly suppressed the urge to test it immediately.

Because he still had two more system tasks to settle.

[Current Task: Incorporate the Akatsuki Organization into Konoha Village.]

[Task Reward: 50% Otsutsuki Clan Bloodline.]

[Host has completed the task; reward issued. ]

[Current Task: Capture Black Zetsu.]

[Task Reward: 40% Otsutsuki Clan Bloodline.]

[Host has completed the task; reward issued. ]

As the six lines of text appeared, Kitazawa felt his chakra suddenly surge.

It no longer felt like something that could be quantified. It was simply... endless.

He subconsciously clenched his fist.

The host’s Otsutsuki Clan bloodline has reached 100%. Byakugan has evolved into Tenseigan.

Kitazawa’s eyes widened. Just as he’d expected.

In the original story, the Tenseigan was born from combining Otsutsuki chakra with the Hyuga clan’s Byakugan.

Now that he met both conditions, obtaining the Tenseigan was only natural.

A flood of information poured into his mind.

The Tenseigan and Rinnegan were essentially on the same level.

Its abilities were many—and all of them were broken.

For example: manipulating repulsive and attractive forces, creating spirit orbs to control others, summoning Otsutsuki Hamura’s stone statue, granting life to puppets, and more.

But its most powerful state was the Tenseigan Chakra Mode.

In that mode, the user could control bead-like orbs similar to Truth-Seeking Balls and wield Yin–Yang Release techniques.

Techniques powerful enough to shatter the moon.

Kitazawa immediately activated the Tenseigan.

He quickly sensed Hamura’s stone statue on the moon, as well as the Great Tenseigan.

There were two kinds of Tenseigan.

One was like his—an individual’s evolved eyes.

The other was a Great Tenseigan formed by gathering the ocular power of countless Byakugan into one massive eye.

Hamura’s descendants on the moon were divided into main and branch families.

The Branch family had gathered the clan’s power to create the Great Tenseigan and annihilate the main family.

But it was a Pyrrhic victory.

In the end, only Otsutsuki Toneri was left on the moon.

Kitazawa rubbed his chin.

Now that he possessed both the Rinnegan and the Tenseigan, dealing with Toneri would be trivial.

"I can take a trip to the moon in a couple of days."

His plan was to have Hinata awaken the Tenseigan before the Fourth Great Ninja War.

When the time came, she could rely on the Tenseigan to make a name for herself on the battlefield.

Kitazawa stood and activated Kamui.

In the next moment, he appeared in the Forest of Death.

He switched his vision to the Tenseigan and silently intoned, "Tenseigan Chakra Mode."

His body rose into the air as green chakra wrapped around him.

Kitazawa extended his hand, and a green chakra sphere formed in his palm.

In the original story, Otsutsuki Toneri had used this kind of sphere to control people’s bodies and wills.

It wasn’t an exaggeration to say that anyone struck by it would become a walking corpse.

After a moment of thought, Kitazawa dispersed the chakra sphere.

There was no one nearby worth controlling.

He continued to test the Tenseigan’s abilities.

Meanwhile, Konoha Village had become incredibly lively.

The Gedo Statue and the thousand-armed Buddha were simply too massive—so huge that every villager and shinobi in Konoha had seen them.

At first, no one understood what had happened, and panic spread.

Only after the Anbu circulated the news—Kitazawa had defeated the Akatsuki—did the mood reverse in an instant.

Konoha burst into celebration as if it were New Year’s.

But while some rejoiced, others grew anxious.

There were many spies from other villages hidden within Konoha.

They had also witnessed the spectacle.

Once they recovered from their shock, they rushed to transmit the intel at top speed.

By afternoon—

In the Raikage’s office in the Hidden Cloud Village, the Fourth Raikage, Mabui, Dodai, Samui, and several jonin were gathered.

An Anbu kneeling before them was reporting the details of Kitazawa’s battle with Pain.

Although the report wasn’t especially detailed, it was enough to make everyone’s faces change, their expressions heavy with shock.

"This is another Senju Hashirama," Mabui said solemnly.

The Fourth Raikage sighed inwardly and could only nod.

With his nature and strength, he had always feared nothing, defying gods and men alike.

But at this moment, he was forced to admit reality.

Not long ago, he had been utterly crushed by Pain. Killer B and Yugito Nii had even been captured.

His previous confidence had been shattered.

And from this intel, Pain hadn’t even been fighting seriously back then—not even using that terrifying Gedo Statue.

Now that Kitazawa had defeated Pain, it meant he could also defeat the Raikage.

In other words, no shinobi in the Hidden Cloud could stand against Kitazawa.

"What should we do now?"

After a moment of silence, Samui asked, "We’ve lost two Jinchuriki. Our strength has dropped sharply. If we confront Konoha head-on, we have no chance of winning.

Grief flashed in Mabui’s eyes.

She and Yugito had grown up together as close friends.

Killer B was also someone she knew very well.

"Judging from Konoha’s past conduct, we should still be able to negotiate a trade."

Mabui paused. "If the trade fails, we’ll unite with the other hidden villages and pressure Konoha."

"Does anyone else have ideas?"

The Fourth Raikage glanced at Dodai and the others.

"...No."

Dodai and the others all shook their heads helplessly.

"Mabui, contact Konoha immediately and find out where they stand."

"Yes, Raikage-sama."

"Just in case... prepare for battle," the Raikage added darkly.

Everyone’s faces grew even gloomier.

In previous wars, the Hidden Cloud had always been confident.

This time, they couldn’t even be sure they would survive.

In the Tsuchikage’s office in Iwagakure—

"If Grandpa hadn’t ordered you back, you’d be in Konoha’s prison right now."

Kurotsuchi shot Deidara a side glance.

"This Kitazawa is seriously terrifying," Deidara muttered, still shaken.

He wasn’t afraid of anything, but he knew better than anyone how strong Pain was.

He’d never imagined that Pain would lose to Kitazawa, and the entire Akatsuki would be wiped out.

"Judging from Kitazawa’s display, he’s probably another Senju Hashirama."

Onoki rubbed his temples, his head throbbing.

He hadn’t personally fought Hashirama, but he knew exactly how strong Uchiha Madara was.

Back then, Madara alone had gravely wounded both him and his teacher, the Second Tsuchikage, Mu.

"We’ll prepare for both possibilities."

Onoki looked at Kitsuchi. "On one hand, send someone to contact Konoha. On the other hand, send someone to coordinate with the other hidden villages."

In the Mizukage’s office in Kirigakure—

"Are you sure this intel is accurate?"

After hearing the report, Mei Terumī couldn’t help asking again.

"It’s true," the Anbu replied. "Many people saw it with their own eyes."

"How is that possible..."

Mei clenched her fists unconsciously.

How had Kitazawa’s strength grown this quickly?

He had even defeated Pain, who possessed the Rinnegan.

There was probably no one left in the Ninja World who could rival him.

"Fortunately, we’re allied with Konoha," Ao said after a pause. "And we already traded with them once to get the Six-Tails back."

"All we can do is send someone to negotiate with Konoha again."

Mei shook her head. "We’ll have to pay another heavy price this time."

She had secretly contacted the Hidden Cloud and the others, but she still didn’t want war with Konoha.

After all, the Hidden Mist had yet to fully recover from its "Bloody Mist" era.

"Yes, Mizukage-sama."

Ao turned to leave.

"I hope it goes smoothly..."

Mei’s face was full of worry.

Since becoming Mizukage, she hadn’t had a single easy day.

In the Kazekage’s office in Sunagakure—

"That damned Kitazawa, he goes back on his word!" Chiyo said angrily.

According to Sand’s intel, Gaara had already fully recovered.

But every attempt to contact Konoha about his return had gone unanswered.

"What’s even more troublesome is that Kitazawa defeated the Akatsuki," Rasa said, visibly dazed.

If the intel was accurate, Kitazawa alone might be able to flatten Sunagakure.

"How could someone that powerful appear in Konoha..."

Ebizo found it all unbelievable.

"It’s not just Kitazawa," Chiyo said in a tired voice. "There’s also Hiruzen, Tsunade, Jiraiya, and a whole group of other top-tier ninja.

"And even Kitazawa’s students are already monsters—and they’re only eleven or twelve years old."

Silence fell over the Kazekage’s office.

In the end, Rasa, Chiyo, and the others came to the same decision as the Hidden Cloud and Iwagakure:

Negotiate a trade first, then decide whether to ally with the other villages.
