"Once you’ve learned to use Tailed Beast Chakra Mode, you can join the Hokage Guard," Kitazawa said with a smile.

Kabuto’s eyes narrowed slightly.

Since Konoha’s founding, only Senju Tobirama had ever formed a Hokage Guard. And it was no exaggeration to say that the Guard were the future backbone of the village. Sarutobi Hiruzen, Shimura Danzo, Mitokado Homura, and Utatane Koharu had all served in that unit when they were young.

Haku felt a surge of motivation. His dream had always been to join the Anbu to repay Kitazawa. The Hokage Guard sounded like an even higher-level unit—he could fulfill that wish just the same.

"I’ll work hard!" Ino clenched her fists, eyes blazing with determination.

The Hokage Guard existed to protect the Hokage. That meant she would get to see Kitazawa often.

Kakashi had already been informed, so he wasn’t surprised. What impressed him more was this new Tailed Beast Chakra Mode. Its structure was terrifyingly refined. It was no wonder people compared Kitazawa’s talent for inventing jutsu to Senju Tobirama’s.

"For now, all of you need to focus on learning how to use your Tailed Beasts’ chakra," Kitazawa said, ruffling Ino’s hair.

"Thank you, Kitazawa-sensei!" Ino and the others answered in unison.

"I’ll send you back to the village," Kitazawa added.

He formed the seals and activated the Flying Thunder God Technique. In the blink of an eye, they were standing at the entrance to the Hokage Building.

"Go train. If there’s anything you don’t understand, come ask me," Kitazawa said, then paused.

"Kakashi, you stay."

"Hokage-sama, is something the matter?" Kakashi asked once Ino and the others had left.

"Your Sharingan clone is ready. We can do the transplant today." Kitazawa opened a summoning storage scroll and took out a glass container. Inside floated Uchiha Obito’s other eye—currently in the form of a three-tomoe Sharingan.

"Understood," Kakashi said after a few seconds’ silence.

"Go find Nono-senpai and have her perform the surgery," Kitazawa instructed. He had no intention of doing it himself; an eye transplant was simple enough that any chunin or jonin-level medic could handle it.

After watching Kakashi leave, Kitazawa walked back into the Hokage Building and soon returned to his office.

The moment he opened the door, he froze.

An uninvited guest lay sprawled comfortably across his sofa—Tsunade.

"Tsunade-sensei," Kitazawa said with a smile as he walked over. "It’s rare to see you in my office."

He sat down beside her.

"I didn’t come to see you." Tsunade shifted her hips and lifted one leg, resting it on his lap.

"Then who did you come to see?" Kitazawa asked, reaching down to massage her ankle.

"Kurenai," Tsunade answered with a sidelong glance.

"Are you going to give me my reward tonight?" Kitazawa’s heartbeat quickened; he couldn’t help asking.

"How could it be that fast?" Tsunade snorted and lightly kicked him. "You have to give Kurenai some time to think."

"Should I go with you?" Kitazawa asked after a moment.

"If you came, it would look like we were ganging up on her. That’s no good," Tsunade said after a brief pause. "I already have a plan. Just don’t make trouble."

"Thank you, Tsunade-sensei," Kitazawa said, nodding.

"You really should be thanking me," Tsunade replied. "Next time you go to the casino, you’d better give me more money."

"No problem."

As he spoke, Kitazawa slipped his hand under her clothes around her waist, immediately feeling the warmth of her skin.

Tsunade flinched as a sharp pang ran through her chest. She raised her elbow and drove it lightly into him.

"All right, I’m going to see Kurenai," Tsunade said, lowering her legs and standing up. If she stayed any longer, she might not be able to leave.

Kitazawa watched her go, the lingering warmth on his palm making his heart both eager and anxious. In the end, he could only trust her.

Tsunade soon arrived at the Film and Television Department office. She pushed open the door and stepped inside.

"Lady Tsunade? What brings you here?" Kurenai asked, clearly surprised. Tsunade had spent her retirement in the casinos and almost never set foot in the Hokage Building, much less sought her out.

"I’m here to talk about Kitazawa," Tsunade said evenly.

"Kitazawa?" Kurenai repeated, puzzled.

"Is it very hard for you every night?" Tsunade asked bluntly.

"Eh...?"

Kurenai froze, then her entire face flushed red. What did that mean? Had Tsunade overheard her moans at night?

For a moment, she wanted nothing more than to run.

"Kitazawa’s strength is overwhelming. It’s normal that you can’t beat him," Tsunade said with a small smile.

"L-Lady Tsunade, what exactly are you trying to say?" Kurenai bowed her head, trying to endure her embarrassment.

"What do you think of Kitazawa?" Tsunade stepped closer and asked.

"He... he’s very outstanding," Kurenai answered after some thought. "Extremely outstanding."

"He is," Tsunade sighed. "To any woman, he has a fatal charm. Myself included."

"Ah?" Kurenai looked up at her in shock.

"Kurenai, I came today to apologize," Tsunade said, leaning in to whisper a few words in her ear.

"How could that be possible?" Kurenai’s eyes flew wide. She stared at Tsunade, unable to believe she would actually do such a thing to her own student.

"I’m sorry. This is all my fault," Tsunade said, sincerity written across her face.

"But... but..." Kurenai’s mind was in chaos.

"We can cooperate," Tsunade finally revealed her true intent.

"...? "Kurenai’s thoughts were spinning too fast for her to even feel angry.

"Kitazawa and I are too far apart as sensei and student. I won’t let anyone know about our relationship," Tsunade said, taking Kurenai’s hand. "I’ll support you in marrying him."

Kurenai’s thoughts ground to a halt. She stood there, stunned, unable to form a reply.

Tsunade felt a hint of relief. It seemed her strategy was working.

"Kurenai, take your time to think about it," Tsunade sighed. "If you don’t agree, I won’t interfere with the two of you anymore—and I’ll stop seeing Kitazawa as well."

Kurenai suddenly felt torn. She opened her mouth but in the end didn’t say anything.

Back in the Hokage’s office—

Kitazawa stared at the documents in his hand, unable to calm down. When the door finally opened, he stood up instinctively.

"How did it go?" he asked, walking up to Tsunade.

"I spoke with Kurenai. She said she needs time to think," Tsunade said after a short pause. "But it looks promising."

"Thank you, Tsunade-sensei," Kitazawa said, pulling her into his arms and kissing her.

Tsunade shot him a look but didn’t push him away. After a long kiss, she parted her lips and drew in a breath of fresh air.

"Give me the money," she said, snapping back to reality and holding out her hand.

Kitazawa immediately took out a scroll.

"Not bad, very generous," Tsunade said with a pleased smile after checking the balance. "I’m heading to the casino. Once Kurenai decides, I’ll let you know."

She tucked the scrollaway, waved, and turned to leave.

Kitazawa was just about to return to his desk when the door opened again.

It was Kurenai.

Seeing her, Kitazawa felt a twinge of guilt and shame.

"You bastard!" Kurenai strode forward and bit down hard on his shoulder.

Kitazawa blinked but didn’t dodge. Heat and pain flared where her teeth sank in, but it was nothing to him.

"Sorry," he murmured, gently stroking her head.

Once she finished biting him, Kurenai felt guilty and unconsciously began licking the wound like a kitten.

Kitazawa’s body trembled. His hands moved down almost by reflex, kneading her round, firm buttocks.

Kurenai let out a muffled sound; a blush spread rapidly across her face. Her body already belonged to Kitazawa, and her emotions were easily stirred. She looked up, eyes shining with tears and heat, her expression both angry and bewitching.

"I’m going to teach you a lesson today!" she said through gritted teeth.

With that, Kurenai pushed him down onto the sofa.

In a shadowed corner not far away, Konan watched in silence as Kitazawa was "bullied" without resistance, a strange itching restlessness rising in her chest. But she didn’t dare step out.

Only after an hour, when Kitazawa had sent Kurenai home, did she reclaim her place at his side.

The next day—

A knock sounded at the door.

"Come in," Kitazawa called, looking up.

"Kitazawa," Shizune entered. "We just received an invitation from the Fourth Raikage."

"An invitation?" Kitazawa raised an eyebrow. "For a Five Kage Summit, I assume?"

"How did you know?" Shizune asked, visibly surprised.

"Just a guess," Kitazawa chuckled. "What are the details?"

"The Five Kage Summit will be held in a large city in the Land of Iron one week from now," Shizune replied.

Kitazawa nodded slightly. It was almost identical to the Summit in the original timeline—the same location in the Land of Iron.

That was only natural. If it were held in Kumogakure, Kitazawa might have dared to attend, but the Fourth Raikage wouldn’t dare invite him there. Likewise, Rasa, Mei Terumī, and Ōnoki wouldn’t casually walk into the Hidden Cloud. If the Raikage laid traps or ambushes, they’d be in grave danger.

A neutral country like the Land of Iron was much more suitable. The Land of Demons was neutral too, but it had grown close to Konoha recently, so Kumo had ruled it out.

"How should we respond?" Shizune asked.

"We don’t," Kitazawa said, shaking his head. "Just pretend the invitation never reached us."

Shizune froze. Did he intend to spark the Fourth Great Ninja War?

A thousand thoughts ran through her head, but in the end she didn’t ask any of them. She simply took the letter and left. She wasn’t the Hokage—Kitazawa was. As his secretary, all she had to do was carry out his orders.

Kitazawa stroked his chin in thought.

If he didn’t attend the Five Kage Summit, the topic would inevitably shift to how to deal with Konoha. Whether that would immediately trigger the Fourth Great Ninja War was another question. After all, Konoha’s current strength was overwhelming.

He thought back to the list he had drawn up earlier. He planned to select one high-ranking official from each of the other four great villages to convert or control. Once that was done, they could influence the discussions at the Summit, pushing the four villages to cooperate and eventually declare war on Konoha together.

But the timing had to be pushed back a little. His own students still weren’t ready. Ino and the others needed to master Tailed Beast Chakra Mode; Naruto had not yet become a Perfect Jinchuriki; Hinata still needed to awaken the Tenseigan, and so on.

All these preparations would take time. Fortunately, so would the enemy’s.

Facing a monster like Konoha, the four great villages would be extremely cautious, gathering their full strength for a desperate, all-out struggle.

"It’d be better to fight after the New Year," Kitazawa concluded.

It was August now—about four months until the New Year. That should be enough. By then, his students would be around twelve years old, the same age as in the original story when they graduated. In terms of timeline, this Five Kage Summit was happening roughly five years earlier than in the canon.

"Konan, call White Zetsu," Kitazawa said, lifting his gaze.

Konan nodded and left. Moments later, a White Zetsu wearing an Anbu mask emerged in the office.

"Where are Baki, Ao, Mabui, and Kitsuchi?" Kitazawa asked straightforwardly.

Those four were exactly the ones he intended to bend to his will. In their respective villages, each held a position just below the Kage—a central figure in decision-making.

"They’re all in their own villages," White Zetsu replied.

"You can go," Kitazawa said with a wave.

White Zetsu sank into the floor and disappeared.

"Konan, I’m heading out for a bit," Kitazawa said, then activated the Flying Thunder God Technique.

In the next instant, he was standing in Sunagakure. After mastering the Flying Thunder God, he had placed his marks in various locations across the ninja world.

Activating his Byakugan, he quickly pinpointed Baki’s location and walked straight toward him, using the EMS to plant a powerful suggestion in his mind.

After finishing, he moved on to Kirigakure, Iwagakure, and Kumogakure in turn. The entire circuit took less than half an hour—thanks to the Flying Thunder God Technique. Even without it, dual Kamui would have allowed for similar mobility.

Back at Konoha’s First Training Ground—

Kitazawa reappeared and looked at Sasuke, Naruto, and Hinata as they trained. He had just returned from the Hidden Cloud.

"Hinatā," Kitazawa called, beckoning her over.

"Kitazawa-sensei," Hinata jogged to his side.

"You’ll be coming with me on a mission tomorrow," he said. "Bring Neji as well."

He intended to take the two of them to the Moon.

It was now certain that the chakra of the Ōtsutsuki combined with the Hyuga Byakugan could evolve into the Tenseigan. In other words, either Hinata or Neji could awaken a pair. But they still lacked one extra set.

Kitazawa’s plan was to extract the pupil power from the Giant Tenseigan.

The Giant Tenseigan itself was only useful as a tool. Konoha didn’t truly need it. If its power could be transferred or compressed into a form that the Byakugan could absorb, that would be best. In that case, both Hinata and Neji could awaken the Tenseigan.

As for Hanabi, there was no rush. By then, Kitazawa’s strength would be even greater. With his near-infinite chakra, he could simply infuse his own ocular power into her and help her awaken the Tenseigan directly.

For now, though, he still wasn’t sure if the Giant Tenseigan’s pupil power could be extracted safely. He would only know after he saw it with his own eyes tomorrow.
