One-Eyed Monster

Chapter 1156 - 1152: Confrontation

While Kadi was confronting Clown Quinn, Igor was desperately fending off the attacks from the Star Circus.

This was a battle with a vast disparity in numbers; the Star Circus had at least a dozen elite members, completely underestimating Igor.

They continuously launched attacks at Igor, but each assault either missed or was evaded by Igor.

This left them feeling thoroughly frustrated.

These elites were well-tested, with rich combat experience, yet now they were struggling against a young lad they looked down upon, which made them extremely displeased!

This displeasure was psychological, mental, and even physical.

Stanley was already anxious, letting a boy slip away right under his nose was nothing less than a disgrace.

When Kadi leaped out of the encirclement, Stanley swiftly released his beast, but just as the beast pounced forward, it was forcefully intercepted by Igor’s Sword Qi!

This was simply unbelievable!

No one had ever been able to stop his beast!

However, what shocked Stanley was not just this event; the boy’s footwork, his observational skills, everything was beyond his imagination.

This kind of ability seemed not to be something an ordinary person could possess, and it brought a significant impact.

The entire Star Circus was now filled with astonishment, with both the elites and the captain left dumbfounded by Igor’s resistance, even to the point of stupefaction.

These people were so amazed by Igor’s performance that they forgot their own techniques, standing there like wooden dummies.

Stanley shook his head; in a moment of clarity, he finally understood the situation at hand. This boy named Igor was facing their entire circus single-handedly, which was nothing short of mockery!

His strength was among the top five in the entire Circus Organization, yet he was powerless in front of this boy...

Not only him, even the Dwarfs band’s sound attack seemed to have no effect on this boy, who, just with Sword Qi, shattered those sound notes into pieces, and as for the aerialists, those guys were of the same nature as him, unable to get close, nor could his beast.

This was truly uncanny!

Stanley realized that the only one who could pose any threat to Igor was Amoon the Giant! Everyone else was useless against this Igor!

They felt as if each punch was hitting water, unable to harm a single hair of their opponent, while being enveloped by the pressure of water themselves, a truly terrible feeling.

Amoon the Giant’s long limbs were attacking Igor sporadically, and although they seemed powerful, every punch was easily defused by the boy, rendering them ineffective.

Stanley was frantic, running in circles; they simply couldn’t attack.

It wasn’t just about failing to attack; what was more frustrating was that they couldn’t even approach the area controlled by Igor.

This was the most exasperating part because now it felt like they were doing nothing at all.

Unable to suppress this boy, unable to hinder the other boy, and even more incapable of executing commands from Master Clown.

If Master Clown returns and finds out, they’ll surely be skinned alive.

In the eyes of these circus members, Master Clown doesn’t fail, and neither do they.

Failure is an utterly foreign concept to them, something that only belongs to the opponent.

So now, filled with fear that they can’t complete their task, they might be abandoned, devoured.

They don’t want that kind of outcome.

Thus, Stanley was exceedingly anxious, but despite his anxiety and fear, he was helpless, able only to cheer for Amoon.

He glanced around, seeing the elites sharing the same blank expressions, no one able to summon any temper against Igor.

And the apprentices, trembling, had already hidden behind the carriage. Lacking any real skill, they found the confrontation terrifying, and some of the more timid ones had already fainted from the showdown at the scene.

This can’t go on!

Feeling anxious, Stanley could only think of the last resort.

This last resort, of course, was the finale method of the whole circus, something they wouldn’t use unless absolutely necessary.

It was probably now or never!

The entire Star Circus was about to be driven insane by this lad. If they didn’t resolve this guy soon, Stanley wouldn’t have any chance of promotion in the future.

He didn’t want to remain just a recruiter; he also wanted to be an executor, like Master Clown, capable of reaching higher than High Rank energy levels!

No more delays!

Stanley’s inner fervor had completely overtaken him, now wagering his entire future.

This boy must be taken down!

"Everyone, switch!" Stanley shouted at the top of his lungs.

"Captain?" The elites nearby were trembling, unsure if the captain was serious.

"Switch, switch to our true forms. This guy must be taken down here, no more delays!"

"Captain, are you serious?"

"We’ve barely managed to control these shells so perfectly!"

The elites began complaining, thinking it unwise to be so brash, after all, maintaining such states wasn’t easy!

"There’s no time. If this boy isn’t dealt with before Master Clown returns, we might all be replaced, weigh the importance yourselves!"

With that, Stanley pulled out a red bottle and tossed it into his mouth, crunching it along with the potion together!

His whole body then reverted to the state of an elder, but his entire face became decrepit, like a mummy that had been dried for ages.

"Captain!"

The elites watching Stanley do this also pulled out their own bottles, biting down and swallowing them with a crunch.

In an instant, everyone above the rank of elite in the Star Circus had turned into skeletons and decaying corpses...

The apprentices hiding behind the carriage trembled so much their legs turned to jelly; they didn’t understand why these elites would become like this, was it all the boy’s doing?

Igor, still fending off Amoon the Giant, naturally noticed the changes in the circus elite members, and he frowned; evidently, this form of opponent was going to be more difficult to handle.

"Kid, you’re the first to make us fight in our true forms, prepare to meet your end!" Stanley shouted hoarsely, refusing to believe that this boy could have any means to withstand their attack!
