Chapter 66: Visits II
The elderly were done admiring the little one and had begun making their way to leave. Ayra wanted to sit properly and see them out but they refused.
"No no, don’t bother at all," one refused, urging her to sit back down properly and comfortably. "You don’t have to see us out at all."
The old fox shook his head with a smile. "The female is so polite."
"Indeed. You’re the one who has done us a great favor. Don’t worry, we’ll make sure we spend our old ages taking good care of you and the little one!" The old man assured.
"True! We’ll make sure of it!" They agreed as they began making their way out.
As they left, they considered. "We should stay around and keep her safe! Don’t you think so?"
"Yes yes, we don’t have anything important to do. So let’s just camp around and make sure no one bothers disturbing the female and the little one."
"True. Those noisy young ones sure would want to give them some headache. Not under our watch," they insisted as some of them sat around on the rocks and trees there, chatting while keeping watch at Ayra’s house.

Lord Vale had approached the little one, staring at its tiny features while watching it kick and smile in its little ways.
"Come and take a look as well," Vale called out to Zark who was standing at a distance. Zark hesitated, arms folded while keeping a poker face.
He didn’t want to approach but Vale pulled him closer as he stood before the little one. As soon as Zark stared at the little one, the fox smiled brightly.
"It’s laughing," Ayra smiled. "I guess the little one likes you a lot, dragon lord."
Zark scoffed. "Is that so?" He kept a cold expression while staring at the little one.
"You should play with it," Ayra offered. "Try stretching out your fingers for it to catch," she smiled.
Zark was hesitant. He didn’t feel like he needed to do. But Vale pulled his fingers out to the little one as she stretched out and took it with a broad smile.
Zark stood there watching the little girl play with his fingers happily, tossing it at different sides while reaching out to hold onto it, smiling.
"It really does like the dragon lord," Vale smiled as Zark stood there with a cold expression, his fingers stretched out for the little one.
He didn’t want to smile even though he found the scene before him adorable. He kept his calm while letting the little one play with his fingers.
But immediately, the little one took his fingers into her mouth and bit it!
"..."
Lord Vale and Ayra were quiet and speechless. They stared at the fox cub biting Zark’s fingers with a smile while they stared at Zark’s face. His face had gone red like one who was about boiling up.
But the dragon held himself and kept his calm, staring at the cub who was biting onto his fingers firmly as if he wasn’t feeling the pain! He was dying inside from the sharp bite!
"Are you okay...?" Lord Vale asked as they stared at Zark’s red face.
"It has teeth..." Zark managed to say, staying in the same position. "Sharp teeth..."
Just then, Rai and his group of friends rushed into the room. They were being quite noisy but the older men at the entrance had nagged them to keep it down while coming in.
"We’re here!" Rai announced with a smile as they made their way in happily. There were a lot of teenage beast males that Ayra couldn’t help but smile. "Oh you came."
Rai happily rushed to the little one with the others as they watched the cub biting onto Zark’s hand. "Oh, it seems like Lord Zark is playing with the cub..."
Zark stared at them, his eyes cold and ruthless that Rai quickly covered his mouth. Rai closed his mouth as he stared at his friends, they smiled.
The cub instantly laughed at the sight of the energetic young teens present as she immediately let out a soft laughter.
Zark’s finger was free and he immediately took his finger and turned and walked off, his face still red.
Vale and Ayra smiled as they watched him leave the room in a flash.
"It’s so tiny..." Rai said as they all gathered around the little fox cub.
"So small and beautiful..." Kan smiled as he stretched out his finger, feeling her tiny soft ears. "And so adorable too!"
"The female really did give birth to an adorable little one! She’s so fun!" Another smiled.
They all stared at the little one in admiration. Gathering and staring at it for what seemed like an hour. They never got tired, it was as though they could stare at this little cub forever!
"Ayra, is it a male or a female???" Kan turned to ask Ayra. Everyone turned as well. Ayra smiled, she guessed they all knew her name at this point.
"It’s a female," she smiled.
Excitement and shock brushed through them as they stared at her. "Wow! A female!"
"It’s a female! How are we going to take care of a little female!"
"I don’t know... But she will need extra care! We have to learn how to take care of her and also put in all our efforts!"
"Yes yes!"
Their dedication turned back to the little one as they stared and admired the first cub and first female cub before them.
"Her eyes are so small!"
"No so big!"
"No small!"
"Her ears are so tiny..."
"And also her legs... Can she walk with it?"
"No I don’t think so."
"Her hands are so tiny too!"
"Look at her tail! So soft!"
"So she’ll be our little sister from today?"
"Yes! Our little sister!"
"We must take good care of her and protect her too."
"And we’ll also take care of the female too! She also saved all of us. So we must make sure she doesn’t work too hard at all!"
"Yes!" they all chorused.
Ayra smiled at their adorable remarks. She couldn’t help but feel warm about them.
