Chapter 75: Thanks
Ayra paused. At the moment she had forgotten that she was taking her bath as she stared at the system while letting the task sink in.
Save Nyx? The wild cat? The same cat that the original host had bullied? The same cat that would probably kill her immediately if he saw her?
Ayra was speechless. She didn’t know how to react to this task.

Ayra stared at the reward. That was rather tempting. But she wondered if it was worth risking her life. Because this cat would certainly want her dead if she met it!
"What are you doing?" Ash was standing at a distance, arms folded while staring at her. "Not taking your bath anymore?"
"Oh..." She jerked back to reality as the system disappeared as she stared at Ash. "It’s nothing I.." she hesitated. Luckily the system didn’t give a deadline.
She had time to think about it and consider how she was going to go about it if she accepted.
At that moment, she continued cleaning her body with the soap in her hand, its foam spreading all around her.
Ash stared at her. "What’s that...?" He was intrigued by the foamy waters now. "What’s happening to the water...?" He slowly approached. "Is something attacking you in there...?" He was ready to strike.
"..." Ayra stared at the water and then stared at him. "No." She found herself smiling. "I’m not in danger. This is just some special washing equipment. It makes the body clean and smell nice."
"..." He hesitated, feeling awkward as he stared at the foam. He sniffed it and couldn’t help but get pulled by the aroma. "That smell... It’s nice..."
She smiled as she said, "Of course. If you want, I can share some with you."
"No need," he folded his arms again, keeping a poker face. He watched her clean. "I didn’t know the female was so dedicated to her body. That’s different from what I was expecting..." He found himself smiling as he admired her bathing.
He couldn’t help but get glued to her face as she took her bath. In the warm sunlight, it was glowing and it looked super smooth. The fragrance from her body spilled through the atmosphere, lingering around his nose.
Ash couldn’t help but sniff and stare at her. Everything about the female while she took her bath was alluring. Even her bare shoulders and neckline, along with the way her wet hair clung around her body and bare back...
His heart skipped endless beats at this moment.

Ayra couldn’t help but smile as she turned and stared at him. "What are you staring at? Fascinated to see a female take her bath?"
He hadn’t seen such before. So it was something to truly fascinate about. Ash casually smiled as he sat down. "I guess I’m lucky then to witness one."
She shook her head. While she cleaned up, Ayra found herself asking, "When I woke up this morning, you weren’t around. Where did you run off to?"
Ash smiled. "Why? Were you waiting for another round from me in the morning?"
"..." Ayra stared at him with a lingering smile. "You.. what are you thinking? I’m just asking..."
He smiled as he said, "We had a meeting so we met up."
"What were you talking about? The water issue?" She asked.
He slowly nodded. "That too. We decided to also not hand them the foodstuff anymore. Just like you recommended. Since those jerks have decided to kill us all off, why dance to their tunes and hand them what they want?"
Ayra smiled as she stared at him. She was happy that she was able to convince them not to serve those bastards. But she was also worried. She had disrupted the status quo of things standing for long. And now she was worried about how these wild tribe men would survive.
"How are you going to survive from them? I mean.. you’ve been under them for long and now you’re suddenly breaking free. You know they won’t take it lightly.. so how’s it going to be?" She wanted to know if they had any plan.
Ash sighed as he said, "Actually, we’ve been planning this for a while now. We’ve been considering breaking free and rebelling for our freedom and all. But we haven’t really had the courage and all..."
He smiled as he stared at her. "Mainly because doing that would mean us dying. Because we don’t have any way to soothe ourselves or save us in berserk mode. But now we have you..." He had a soft smile on his face.
Ayra exchanged smiles with him as she said, "You seem pretty confident about me, eh? What if I can’t handle all of you?"
He smiled as he said, "Don’t worry, we’re not expecting you to soothe us all and save us. You’re certainly not working for us." He smiled. "I’ll never want to overwork you at all."
She smiled as she said, "Is that so? Don’t worry at all. I’ll gladly be of help to the tribe. I’ll find creative ways to keep everyone in check and help soothe you all so you all can escape from those terrible jerks," she offered willingly.
"But under the condition that you all take good care of me," she casually joked. "Then I can have enough strength to help the tribe." She was already having some growing attachment to these tribe men. So she was more than happy finding ways to soothe the tribe.
Ash stared at her with a smile. His face was calm and quiet. He didn’t know how to feel or know what to say. He simply stared at her for a while without saying anything.
"What is it? Why are you staring at me like that?" She asked with a smile.
Ash sighed as he said, "Thanks.." he slowly said. "Thanks a lot..."
Ayra hesitated staring at him. "Why are you thanking me like that? I mean, it’s my way of making amends for all you’ve been through because of that tribe," she said with a smile but he still had his warm eyes on her.
