Chapter 663: I Thought You Were Relatives
She had stayed in Nancastle for too long!
She had wanted to live a quiet life, just as her parents had wished, and let the past go.
But in her nightmares, she would dream of bombs falling from the sky—a horrific scene of her parents being swallowed by a sea of flames.
She simply couldn’t let it go.
It was impossible for her to let it go!
Jasper Holloway was her sworn enemy!
She had to get her revenge!
To think that today, she would meet someone who also had a grudge against the Holloway Family!
’Did she just find an ally?’
’Could they team up to fight the Holloway Family?’
They were like ants before the might of the Holloway Family, but she would do anything, even if it only meant tearing a single chunk of flesh from Jasper Holloway!
Chloe Reed saw the fire burning in her eyes and reached out, taking her hand.
Good. They would team up and get revenge together!
"What the fuck! Let go of my sister-in-law!"
At that moment, Nathaniel Monroe woke up. Discovering he was tied up in a basement, he immediately freaked out.
He twisted his head and saw Chloe Reed standing with a strange girl.
The strange girl was even holding Chloe Reed’s hand, prompting him to roar.
"Oh, my god..."
Behind him, Daniel Hayes listened to his bellowing and let out a deeply exasperated sigh.
Then, to Fiona Linton’s utter shock, he easily broke free of his ropes, stood up, and walked toward them.
"Chloe, you okay?"
Daniel Hayes immediately checked on Chloe Reed.
He had woken up when they started talking but had remained perfectly still, biding his time. He’d secretly untied his ropes, ready to spring into action at a moment’s notice.
’If that girl had dared to lay a finger on Chloe Reed, he would have snapped her neck without a second thought!’
’He didn’t care if she was some legendary doctor or not!’
But as he listened, he realized something was off.
’Had this girl mistaken them for someone else?’
’And she had the same enemy they did?’
’Talk about a coincidence.’
Once he was sure there was no immediate threat, he broke free. He just hadn’t expected Nathaniel Monroe to wake up right then and yell something so stupid.
’He’d have to have a serious talk with Walker Grant when he got back. How was Nathaniel supposed to rescue Iris Yates if he was going to be like this?’
’He’d probably get himself caught with his recklessness long before he even laid eyes on Iris Yates.’
Chloe Reed shook her head, signaling she was alright.
Fiona Linton stared at him, bewildered. "How did you get out of those?!"
Daniel Hayes scoffed. "Your knots are too simple. Anyone with a bit of training could get out of them."
Fiona Linton looked crestfallen. She turned to Chloe Reed and asked, "Could you ask him to teach me some more complex knots?"
Chloe Reed nodded. Of course, he could.
"Hang on..."
Nathaniel Monroe was just now catching on. He scrambled to his feet. "What the hell is going on? You knocked us out, and now you’re all acting like best friends? Are you crazy?"
For once, Daniel Hayes didn’t seem annoyed with Nathaniel Monroe. He, too, stared coldly at Fiona Linton. "Miss, we came here seeking you out because of your reputation. We haven’t done anything to harm you, so why treat us like this?"
’Just because they had a common enemy didn’t mean he would forget what just happened.’
’She had knocked them out without any provocation. That made her the one in the wrong!’
Fiona Linton’s gaze faltered. She looked at Chloe Reed apologetically and said, "I’m sorry. I actually saw you the moment you arrived at the door. When I saw your face, I thought you were related to Jasper Holloway. I figured I’d subdue you all first and then interrogate you properly."
